No I don't think Russia will ever leave the parts of Ukraine they eventually hold
From the countries that guaranteed Ukraine terriorial integrity - Russia is not treating its obligations seriously (completely unexpected ;)) - but UK and US are.
Two US presidential candidates are planning to end US involvement in international politics by ignoring US obligations - but that's democracy.
Countries that had not guaranteed anything to Ukraine directly - but treat UN charter seriously - won't ever recognize Russian annexations. And will keep sending military aid no matter what US does in next few years.
Let's just say that Russia does not have the best track record of being a stable empire in the modern era. There is no need to rush to reach agreement with current autocrat - or assume that there will be peaceful transition of power and that the next one will agree with all his predecessor's decisions and will honor all his agreements. Lets remember bolsheviks publishing all secret agreements of Tzar- that was a dick move - gentlemen don't do that.
