Really a very good post. To the point. NATO expansion is by application and not invasion.

Getting back to the real question though. Beyond imperialism, or any other such Russian idea. Why TF would any country actually desire to become a part of Russia or enter the Russian spere of influence. Russie has nothing to offer accept a record of failures. Seriously, what fvcking idiot would want to become subserviant to what are clearly retarded values and ideals? No person in their righ mind, with any education or desire for their children to live a good life would sign up for that unless they were part of the corrupt ruling party.

As explained to me.... russians are socialized to think of themselves as superior to everyone else on a metaphysical level.

They're responsible for defeating the nazis in WWII (no mention of lend lease) which was the greatest human accomplishment ever.

In addition they are told that they are the inheritors of the greatest literatary tradition, best form of government (absolute dictatorship whatever it's called at the time) and that the destiny of russia is to rule the world because of the general superior nature of russians.

They call this 'truth' and when they say they're fanatics in search of 'truth' that's what they mean.

If they're neighborhoods are filthy and they don't have any money and their rulers steal everything they have.... it's a small price to pay for belonging to their superior culture which is meant to save the world.

When other countries fail to recognize russian superiority then that means that the other countries are degraded and need divine punishment (which is why telegram is full of russians celebrating the murder of Ukrainian children or the Turkish earthquake etc).

It's batsh+t crazy, but once you understand that they believe it.... all the insane things they do and say make sense.

Scandalous.

Only Poles should be socialised this way.

I didn't seen any on Russian speaking segment... Or maybe these "russians" done it conveniently in English and on channels inhabited by western public with destabilised minds?

We have always been a Latin civilisation country.

I can testify to that. I studied Latin in high school from 1956 to 1960 as an elective. Russian was mandatory.

I studied Latin in high school from 1956 to 1960 as an elective.

It was elective because you were probably in mat-fiz, and Latin was only obligatory in biol-chem classes. These days they are trying to restore Latin teaching on a wider level at schools, and there are of course Latin classes at universities (even at some technical faculties).

Interview with European Council President Charles Michel

Ukraine Could Join EU By 2030

spiegel.de/international/europe/european-council-president-charles-michel-ukraine-could-join-eu-by-2030-a-5f6a7ca6-99b9-461f-ad3f-3b41d26a771c

The president of the powerful European Council would like to see Ukraine become an EU member state as soon as possible. In an interview, Charles Michel says that although it won't be easy, Brussels can't afford to lose any more time.....

Na sowas!

I still would prefer the war would end first.....

GefreiterKania

@BB

I think Juncker is spot on about Ukraine's EU membership...

Bratwurst Boy
6 Oct 2023  #3072

....usually that would be no question...the EU membership process takes YEARS! And all territorial disputes need a solution BEFORE!

Could it be that for Ukraine all these golden rules will be thrown overboard?

PS: Maybe a solution in the middle....not full-membership but still a similiar development-budget?

Novichok
6 Oct 2023  #3073

If Ukraine joins the EU it will be owned by the EU.
I really wonder what percentage of Poland is owned by foreigners.

Bratwurst Boy
6 Oct 2023  #3074

So...you don't want them in NATO (abit understandable though), but you don't want them in the EU either?

Is there one union you would find acceptable for Ukraine?

Alien
6 Oct 2023  #3075

will be owned by the EU.

Certainly better than to be owned by russia.

PolAmKrakow
6 Oct 2023  #3076

@Novichok
Make no mistake, smart people with money are buying in Ukraine now.

EU membership after the war is over is likely. 2030 is probably best case scenario. Ukraine into NATO? Not going to happen.

Novichok
6 Oct 2023  #3077

Certainly better than to be owned by russia.

Is Biedronka Russian? Did Russians own any business in Poland in 2021?

...but you don't want them in the EU either?

BB, I am shocked that you of all posters here can fall this low in your ability to comprehend my crude English.
Where did I say that I didn't want them in NATO or the EU? I never did either.

It's Putin, not me, and only as far as NATO goes.

But since you are a nice guy, I will restate my position. Here we go:

Russia has exactly the same moral and legal right to invade Ukraine as the US had to invade Iraq. Let's call it preventive self-defense.

Are we OK now?

Ukraine into NATO? Not going to happen.

We are in agreement again. Weird...

Don't be...I can fall even lower If I try! :)

Russia has exactly the same moral and legal right to invade Ukraine as the US had to invade Iraq.

Okay.....but the US has left by now.....will Russia ever leave?

Novichok
6 Oct 2023  #3079

.will Russia ever leave?

If you mean C, D, and L, the answer is no because Russia cannot leave itself.
As for the rest of what was known as "Ukraine" - that will depend on how soon Z will be executed or will come to his senses, tells the Western warmongers to GFY, and starts talking.

In comparison to the US, Russia is saner. Russia went to war with U believing or at least claiming that the threat of Ukraine in NATO was and still is existential.

The US, since its creation, could never make such claims with a straight face - including WW1, PH, and WW2.

Bratwurst Boy
6 Oct 2023  #3080

claiming that the threat of Ukraine in NATO was and still is existential.

.....and here I think that's a lie by Putin!

Membership in NATO must be unanimously....as for the EU too....without Germany's nod Ukraine would never get in!

Putin knew Merkel's position and had to KNOW that there wasn't any danger for that!

Novichok
6 Oct 2023  #3081

Putin knew Merkel's position

Merkel will pass on one of these days. After Minsk and the lies, Russia cannot count on anyone except itself to make sure NATO never sets foot in the remnants of Ukraine.

If I were an advisor to the Western warmongers, I would urge them not to test Russia in this regard.

I think Juncker is spot on about Ukraine's EU membership...

Amazing how they change their tune, once out of office.

Makes me curious what people like von der Leyen and Michel actually think.

Paulina

Russia has exactly the same moral and legal right to invade Ukraine as the US had to invade Iraq.

Meaning - none.

In comparison to the US, Russia is saner.

No, it's the other way around.

and WW2

If the US didn't enter WWII it is possible that there would no RuSSians nor Poles anymore (meaning - you'd be dead).

mafketis
6 Oct 2023  #3085

Meaning - none.

It's amazing that that crazy old man still thinks comparing Ukraine and Iraq are in any way similar (especially since millions of Americans openly protested the invasion of Iraq while almost all russians like the idea of killing millions of Ukrainians....

make sure NATO never sets foot in the remnants of Ukraine

Morons think that NATO invades countries to get them to join rather than being invited in.

Can't cure stupid.

A Declaration is published promising something referendum is held in which this Declaration is mentioned in the preamble of which references are made to the Referendum and the Declaration

You forgot to add the most important arrangement - at the open air market in Kharkiv one rural woman told another that Ukraine should be neutral. Her words became the guiding beacon for Russians who insist on Ukrainian neutrality. hahahaha

Shortly speaking: jedna baba drugiej babie wsadziƂa do dupy grabie. buhahahahaha

Shortly speaking 2: Velund, don`t be stupid. We won`t fall for this nutty bs. Russians are aggressors by nature and they would attack Ukraine regardless of any circumstances.

It's a good thing that I ignore some posters here

who are saying wise things to which you can`t find a proper answer.

That was funny, pawian...Especially those "wise things"... unless you meant Z-P=0. Now, that was the Nobel Prize level-wise...

Do these wise things include dying for "freedom and democracy"?

Like: Hey kids, Daddy is going to Ukraine to die for "freedom and democracy" in the most corrupt sh*thole anywhere...

@amiga500
Plenty of good legitimate real estate deals to be made by the small investor. Anything outside of Lviv is reasonable, and anything outside of Kiev is a bargain. If you have balls to buy into some of the really destroyed areas, you will be making a killing in five years. Sorry, but I am not going to let Blackrock and others make all the money.

I really wonder how those Russians who now live in the US can support the belief system within Russia. The idea that the Russian people are superior or that the culture is superior is really laughable. There is no evidence to sustain the argument.

Novi, respectfully, Russia is far more corrupt than Ukraine.

russia strikes a grocery store in the Kharkiv region killing 51 civilians including a 6 year old child

A humanitarian worker from Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH), who was helping the elderly, was also killed in that attack:

"freedom and democracy"

That's something you're lucky enough to enjoy on daily basis, because others fought and died for it.
