Have to disagree. Since the 9/11 commission those black ops bank accounts are much smaller, and after Jan 6, congress is watching everything. No way they are allowing sleepy Joe do what ever he wants. On another note, I am glad to see the new missile systems be so effective for Ukraine these last few days. If they were given to them months ago, maybe the counter offensive would have had some real nice gains.

Now with 31 Abrahms tanks in Ukraine, the new missile systems, and F16s in the next 60 days or so, the winter Ukraine offensive had better make soome huge gains. No more excuses with all the new equipment and tech. If a breakthrough, or a the Crimea bridge destruction doesnt take place, this will be a slow roll to the negotiating table in twelve months. With any luck though a few Serbs will be turned to slush between now and then.

First of all, it is barbarous. Dropping thousands of bombs on an area with the the third highest population density in the world, and a territory the size of Manhattan is a war crime. Cutting off water, electricity, and medications - in a context in which there is no other practical way to get them - that's a war crime. Purposefully punishing old men, women, and children for the crimes of the government - is a war crime.

Second - we do not benefit from the perpetual protection of the United States. The US can make life liveable, even when the rest of the world hates you (including all your neighbors). In fact, not only is the US not a friend to Russia, but actively aids in killing Russian men. That means we need as many friends as we can find. Behaving like Israel, closes the door to that.

We'll just be a little more emphatic next time we go tell the United States to go f*ck itself at the Security Council or some other forum where we have the misfortune to meet. Enjoy a nice, hearty laugh at their hypocrisy the next time they lecture us about human rights. When the FBI or CIA come to us, for help with this or that problem around the world, as they have come to us many times in the past, we'll be unavailable.

No need to be like Israel. I actually believe what I have been writing here, about how we are waging the most humane "big war" in history. Maybe it has made the actual task of conquering Ukraine much more difficult than an American "shock and awe" approach would, but it leaves a much better chance of us successfully living together in the future - as opposed to Iraq and America.

Ukraine has never destoryed the bridge. Damaged a few times. They need to take out a large enough portion to make it unable to be used or repaired in the short term. A massive missile and drone attack to take out enough of it to cause Vlad embarrassment and render it mute for military purposes while sending a panic through what remains of Crimea. This is the best possible event for Ukraine. The slow beating back of Russians through the defenses has another 12 months at best to accomplish a real meaningful brakthrough. Personally, I dont see it when Vlad will send a few hundred thousand more to die before he retreats.

As fot the Hamas comparison to Israels attac on infrastructure. Israel killing civilians is no different than Russia killing civilians, or Ukraine targeting Russian civilians. A war crime is a war crime no matter who commits it.
