Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 7

Sometimes it's funny to see yourself for a second on a old blurry video, disgustingly young and stupid, ready to go to White House in a day of GKChP coup to defend Yeltsin for the sake of "freedom and democracy" (no more and no less). I wish I had half an hour to lecture myself from there, what life is really about, and what we should run away from, like from the plague ... ;)

Are you in that video?

Don`t count on their gentlemanly manners.

We got so many lessons ot their manners, so we do not count them gentlemans anymore at all. Trust limit is zero, and independently verifiable proof required for anything said. And, all money up front, always and forever.

Are you in that video?

Yes, for a fraction of second, just few frames, with a friend (that is still alive but not a friend anymore) but is turned out to be too nostalgic...

We got so many lessons ot their manners,

Yes, especially when Brits sent covoys with weapons, equipment and food to Murmansk during WW2 to save your asses from Nazis. You wouldn`t have survived without Am and Brit aid. Today, Germans would fly their flags over Moscow.

Ha! I got you.

RF is far from that, some kind of ideal state, but there is still a lot of NORMAL, about GENDER RIGHTS...
Regarding RELIGIOUS RIGHTS, even while she was occupying Poland, she did not work on ORTHODOXISATION, and trying to create some Polish Catholic Church... while on the opposite side there was the Union of Brest-Litovsk in 1596.

britannica.com/event/Union-of-Brest-Litovsk

You can be lgbtq, no one will beat you and send you to the gulag, but you can NOT promote that ideology.

There are also "rossiyanes" in the RF... as Peskov said, there is a natural filtration, cleaning. At least 1% of those EXTREME COSMOPOLITANS will leave>>>from Moscow, St. Petersburg>>>

Yes, especially when Brits sent covoys with weapons

... to assure that western (eastern for germans) meat grinder will give them some relax and will allow to withstand german attacks to Britain proper.

I think we would stand even without lend lease... But losses may easily double then.

They forget that.

In WW2 they threw thousands of conscripts to the front as if they were just meat and they've not moved on. 5000 orcs died in on day last week while their 'leaders' swig champagne at Valdai. Fortunately the 5000 lumps of orc meat didn't gain even a metre of ground.

Quoting:

More than half of Ukrainians consider corruption to be their country's most pressing problem aside from the ongoing military hostilities, a fresh poll has revealed.

Short version: Ukraine is run by thieves.

Even shoter version: GFY...

@Novichok
And this is one of the main reasons US congress is pulling back on supporting Ukraine. When all this is over, I suspect we are going to see a lot of former government and military officials living pretty well in Cyprus.

pawian
5 Nov 2023  #3941

And this is one of the main reasons US congress is pulling back on supporting Ukraine

No, that is just one of pretexts for pulling out. You and others already mentioned common Americans who would like their gov to focus on domestic issues.

PolAmKrakow

@pawian
I do not think Z has been stealing. He has too much to lose. He will make tons of money off of his book, and public speaking in the future. Like he has fired many people under him, I believe there are many more taking what they can. Its war, and people want to survive now, and in the future. I dont blame them honestly, you do what you have to do in some situations. In WW2 soldiers took "war prizes", today people take cash or sell weapons. No different in my opinion. Not legal, but it is what it is.

But yes. It is clear, that the American people have had enough of this. Now with the Israel issues, people are really getting tired of Biden's blank check policies. China loading up outside of Taiwan with its navy now is concerning. Poland wanting to keep Ukraine fighting is only natural. Keeping the Russians far away from Polish borders is the main goal for Poland. Its not just a US proxy war with Russia.

It is clear, that the American people have had enough of this.

Yes, it is understandable that common people think like that. They do everywhere.

It is only a pity that some US elites aren`t able or don`t want to see further beyond domestic affairs. I mean Reps now.

Americans need to clean up their house first. German television reports that the centers of large cities in the USA have been taken over by homeless drug addicts. Normal people are afraid to go shopping, shops in city centers are being closed en masse. Is this true.

PolAmKrakow
5 Nov 2023  #3946

@Alien
This is the absolute truth. I have seen it first hand in Denver, Boston, NY, and Las Vegas. The homeless are everywhere. Tent cities, needles on the sidewalks in Denver! Homeless everywhere in the suburbs of Boston. A change is coming in the US, and when it comes, all the wokeism bull$hit and wasted money will dry up. Unfortunately that means it will for Ukraine as well.

@pawian
Paying attention to domestic issues is exactly what the US, Poland and every other nation should be doing, before looking spend money elsewhere. Buying a house or flat in Poland is still something every Pole can do, the same cannot be said about the US. Poland does not have the drug problems or illegal immigration problems the US has. Poland has not been paying for wars overseas for the last 80 years, the US has. And, if we are all not careful, we will have WW3 starting in the Middle East.

Ukraine needs a major event to get things going again. A big breach and land grab, or taking out the bridge, or something along those lines. Without a big move, it will be nothing more than young men and women dying on both sides for no reason.

What a bunch of nonsense

Russian Tsardom closed down Catholic Churches in Belarus and Ukraine. When Poland regained her independence it was too late as minority groups had become a lot more aware and religiously connected to Orthodox Church and saw the return to Catholic Churches as an "attack" on them instead of it being part of returning to the past and mending the influence of the Russian Tsardom.

Meaning Muscovites sawed the seeds of conflict between Commonwealth nations. So stop with your BS

jon357
5 Nov 2023  #3948

Yes, it is understandable that common people think like that.

What some of their ordinary Joes think and what their or any other government does geopolitically is a of course different thing.

Americans need to clean up their house first.... Normal people are afraid to go shopping,

I'd suggest that this task is beyond them now; it's gone too far now.

religiously connected to Orthodox Church

Is this a bad thing?

PolAmKrakow
5 Nov 2023  #3949

I'd suggest that this task is beyond them now; it's gone too far now.

If thats your suggestion, then the rest of the world, Ukraine, EU, NATO are in very deep trouble. I have more confidence in that the people will sweep the far left radicals out of power, and bring the country back to the center. I dont think it will be Trump. I like Kennedy if he can get a little more traction. But DeSantis or Christie will do.

jon357
5 Nov 2023  #3950

the far left radicals

There aren't many there, and most of the noise we hear is from the right-wing.

The important thing now is defeating r*SSia and that will be expensive.

Of course it is a bad thing! It only creates a larger divide in the Christian community!

Instead of being United against evil, corruption, nepotism and hatred. There are quarrels about which church one belongs to! How can it not be bad?!

Novichok
5 Nov 2023  #3952

Ukraine needs a major event to get things going again.

By now, even the US warmongers in Congress are probably annoyed with Putin for not finishing this damn war sooner.
Germans most likely feel the same way but won't say it publicly.

The important thing now is defeating r*SSia and that will be expensive.

Go ahead, moron...Defeat Russia. Europe has enough of everything and some so it should be a walk in the park on a sunny day - with an LGBT Brigade in the lead...With men looking like women, Russians will lay down their AKs and laugh... or smile...

jon357

Of course it is a bad thing! It only creates a larger divide in the Christian community!

If anything that's down to Rome, despite the best efforts of John Paul the Great to move closer to Christian unity.

Instead of being United against evil, corruption, nepotism and hatred.

This is something humanity should strive for but is not great at doing.

There are quarrels about which church one belongs to!

Ultimately it makes little or no difference what someone's affiliation is.

Instead of being United against evil, corruption, nepotism and hatred.

There is no greater evil than a government being the enemy within. All else pales...This is the US today.
A tribe can survive many things but not this one.

@jon357
It is exactly the far left radicals lead by Biden who have destroyed the US in record time. In every major US city where these problems are taking place, there is far left leadership. NYC may never recover financially because of Bidens open border policies. Denver never had a homeless or street drug problem until the left took control. Boston, the home of the Kennedy democratic movement is a disaster with homess and drug addicts in tents in the suburbs. Now finally, regular Americans who just wanted to be left alone, are deciding they cant let this continue and will put a stop to it. But that also means putting a stop to funding Ukraine, Israel and all the other stupid spending thats being done. Bad news for Ukraine, but it is coming to an end.

Ukraine while getting a lot from the US, did not get enough. I believe it is is in part because Z is the wrong person to deliver the message. The schtick or the green t-***** and pants is wearing old on people. Demanding more and more is not how you get more. Demanding entry into the EU and NATO does not make people want to help you. Z has made a number of bad moves with its allies, and the timing of Hamas in Israel could not be worse for Ukraine. All the small vidtories are not big enough to get everyone to go all in with Ukraine.

jon357
5 Nov 2023  #3956

the far left radicals lead by Biden

That's precisely what they aren't. Centrist at best, but not on the left. Here in Europe (and in most other places on the planet) they'd be considered conservatives.

The issue however is r*SSia and of course any country that starts something but can't finish it (like Suez for the UK/France) or takes part in a war and loses that war badly (like Vietnam and the US) loses prestige and influence. A dangerous thing in a world where China increasingly call the shots and is on a huge upward trajectory as opposed to the US whose influence is declining.

Once a country commits to something, it has to se it through.

@PolAmKrakow

There's quite an interesting article here:

The lessons to be learned from Ukraine, and now Israel, are that the U.S. and its allies must reconsider how their militaries are built, so that there's a path forward to field a large force with the requisite mass - should a national emergency require it.

We need a new sense of urgency about the threat we are faced with, and we need to act now.

I am not surprised that a stupid person cites a stupid article. Quoting:

To put it simply, America's adversaries are preparing for war. And yet, in Washington, national security debates rarely begin with the basic recognition that China and Russia are building their militaries not to deter but to attack.

...China to attack Taiwan and Russia to attack Ukraine - both within spitting distance - with zero evidence that either is planning to attack the US.

Oh, but those "allies" in Europe...

Memo to "allies": GFY.

We like attacking places 10,000 miles away. For "freedom and democracy", of course.

That's precious coming from a country that from its creation was in a state of war 92% of the time.

And another r*SSian 'warship' in illegally occupied Crimea. this time one carrying Kalibr missiles, has been repurposed as a submarine.
