Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 7

jon357

When was the last time you actually traveled the US Jon?

February. However it is not about the ordinary Joes in one country. It is a global issue and I suspect there are nasty surprises on the horizon.

it needs Russia

It doesn't though, does it. r*SSia brings nothing to the world except brutality and ridiculous 'libertarian' wild west capitalism where criminals thrive and the poor die.

Fvcking retards at the helm for every country involved.

On this we agree.

Interesting.

Now, we're trying to put everything back together, crumb by crumb

Back to what, though?

We could only react.

Back to what, though

We have an idea of Russkiy Mir, or Russian World, as you may have heard about.

It's unlike anything that the Brits or Americans can really relate to... It's an idea of a certain geographic continuum of places that are "Russian" in spirit.

It means:

1) People that speak Russian
2) People that watch Russian TV, listen to Russian radio, and read Russian books.
3) People that feel Russian

We think it makes everyone richer. Because:

1) Russian is your window unto the world. No one will read a dissertation written in Uzbek, or watch a movie made in Moldovan.

2) Our fathers and grandfathers bled together. Let's keep our friendly union intact - to honor their sacrifice.

3) We can be great together. We will once again feel proud of our passport. Just as no one wants to mess with Americans, even an obnoxious tourist, so we want no one to dare touch Russians anywhere in the world.

4) Together we can have our voices heard, and shape the life of this planet.

Russia is an empire, but an empire unlike others that existed. Empire is really at the heart of our national project.

People that feel Russian

Do you think Ukrainians feel r*SSian?

Bobko
6 Nov 2023  #3996

A very large part do.

Us attacking their country, has of course forced many to modify their outlooks....

However, I hope this is temporary. After all, it happened in the past. We reabsorbed wayward Ukrainians more than once.

Somehow, they always found a way to forgive us.

I could be wrong, but I may have been the very first PF poster to have brought this up...I know, I know, I'm really really smart and perceptive. 😁

Empire is really at the heart of our national project

Yeah, kinda makes your neighbors a tad bit nervous.

3) People that feel Russian

Ukrainians, even those that only speak russian, do not feel russian.... so get out of their country.

ussia is an empir

The age of empires is over..... try to catch up to the 21st century.... now is the age of national free association....

jon357
6 Nov 2023  #3999

A very large part do.

And of course a much larger part don't, and in a democracy, it's down to the majority,

Us attacking their country,

Best not to do nowadays.

However, I hope this is temporary.

I've a strong feeling that it isn't.

I see that another orc 'colonel' has been torturing Ukrainian civilians.

Not a great idea...

Bobko

Yeah, kinda makes your neighbors a tad bit nervous.

They would not be nervous, if they did not see the appeal in our idea or the strength of our combined arms.

We have the will to carry this thing through to its necessary conclusion.

Can't say the same about you.

mafketis
6 Nov 2023  #4001

not see the appeal in our idea or the strength of our combined arm

What's the appeal of living in garbage while a government you're not allowed to criticize steals everything?

What's the appeal of having a government you have no hope of replacing?

the russian world appeals to the extremely infantile who want to be fed and taken care of and not make decisions and it appeals to predators who tell sweet lies to the gullible peasants while stealing from them....

I'll believe the idea of appeal when most of russia doesn't like like garbage heap

Bobko
6 Nov 2023  #4002

it appeals to predators who tell sweet lies to the gullible peasants while stealing from them....

Ahahahaha...

AntV
6 Nov 2023  #4003

They would not be nervous, if they did not see the appeal in our idea

:) I suppose not, but that's the Catch-22.

And, it takes more than arms to maintain an enduring Mir...you need economics and an attractive way of life.

Can't say the same about you.

Hmmm....there may be some unfortunate truth to that. We've been watered down. But, then again,!it seemed pretty grim in the 70's, and then...BAM...we recaptured the shine. Question now is has the dilution made it to where we are incapable to muster a shine. I think the whole Trump phenomenon is due to the shine wanting to breakthrough all of the grime and muck. So, I remain hopeful.

Back to what, though?

Back to the Soviet Union/RuSSian Empire. And as we can see in Ukraine, RuSSians decided to do it by force (so nothing new).

Somehow, they always found a way to forgive us.

It doesn't look like they did.

Yeah, kinda makes your neighbors a tad bit nervous.

And those poor RuSSians don't seem to understand why... Actually, they don't understand many things. And that's scary.

Just look at Bobko. He thinks that one of the reasons for RuSSia's neighbours feeling "a tad bit nervous" is the "appeal" of a potential RuSSian empire. How ignorant, lacking empathy and plain stupid you have to be to think that?

AntV
6 Nov 2023  #4005

Back to the Soviet Union/RuSSian Empire

Soviet Union and Russian Empire are two different things, no? Soviets were commies, the imperalists no necessarily commies.

He thinks that one of the reasons for RuSSia's neighbours feeling "a tad bit nervous" is the "appeal" of a potential RuSSian empire.

I don't think he was saying that. More like neighbors not grasping the appeal of a potential Russian Empire. I'm probably splitting hairs.

mafketis

Soviet Union and Russian Empire are two different things

The tsarist empire, the soviet union and the russian federation are all one thing with the same structures, only the borders and slogans changed.

It's always been enriching a clique at the top while crushing the serfs/masses/citizens and using military aggression to legitimize it's rotten rule.

Paulina
6 Nov 2023  #4007

@AntV, sweet summer child, I see you haven't discussed with RuSSians much... ;D I guess you don't know how confused and messed up RuSSians are.

Soviet Union and Russian Empire are two different things, no?

Eh, how to explain this to you... :)))

I don't think he was saying that.

I think he actually might, but may Bobko explain what he meant :)

AntV
6 Nov 2023  #4008

@mafketis

Hmm..you might have a point. Has a convincing ring to it.

What says you Bobko? Would you care to counterpoint?

Bobko
6 Nov 2023  #4009

@mafketis

If it's so rotten, what explains its enduring ability to stay relevant - even when all the economic and demographic data dictate that it should be a minnow of no consequence?

Even a professional Russophobe like you, can admit that there's something mystical to Russia's staying power?

Gas station, orcs, Angola with nukes, ignorant serfs...

Why do these things give you so many problems? Easy enough to ignore - one would think.

AntV
6 Nov 2023  #4010

sweet summer child

A... (why the hell does it keep posting three dots when I type awwwww?)

Eh, how to explain this to you...

Just start explaining. Let's see if I can grasp it.

mafketis
6 Nov 2023  #4011

a professional Russophobe like you,

If I'm a professional then why aren't I getting paid?

Why do these things give you so many problems?

A certain kind of mental illness that makes sufferers think they're important if they cause problems for others....

Bobko
6 Nov 2023  #4012

think they're important if they cause problems for others....

Ah... so we do cause problems for you?!

My mischievous Russian heart is content.

I ruined someone's day - a day well lived.

People say this life isn't a zero sum game... I beg to differ. I have a sudden feeling of great improvement to my well being after reading of Mafketis' admission that I made his life worse.

I may not have a working toilet, or an ability to influence the political life of my country - but goddamn am I happy!

or watch a movie made in Moldovan.

there is no such thing as Moldovan: the majority of Moldovans speak Romanian as their mother tongue

Bobko

@Gumishu
Thank you.

jon357

the majority of Moldovans

Moldova is a tripartite country, The Romanian part, the part across the Dniester and also Gaugazia, somewhere people forget.

mafketis
6 Nov 2023  #4016

there is no such thing as Moldovan

Moldovan was a soviet invention written in cyrillic (not the earlier romanian cyrillic alphabet but a russian styled cyrillic) and it was officially... terminated earlier this year.

gumishu
6 Nov 2023  #4017

Moldova is a tripartite country

it doesn't change the fact that around 80 per cent of Moldovans speak Romanian on the every day basis

Bobko
6 Nov 2023  #4018

Buncha Romanian fascists on this server.

Paulina
6 Nov 2023  #4019

Just start explaining. Let's see if I can grasp it.

I'm not sure if I entirely grasp it myself, but OK...

The Soviet Union was a prolongation of the RuSSian Empire, just with different ideology. These days RuSSians worship and are nostalgic for both and they combine it somehow in their twisted minds... A good example of that "mindf*ck" is the Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces with Soviet symbols. They even planned to put a mosaic depicting Stalin there, but they scrapped it in the end, apparently:

rp.pl/swiat/art8956181-glowna-cerkiew-rosyjskiej-armii-bez-putina-ale-z-sierpem-i-mlotem

The Romanovs, who were murdered by Bolsheviks, were canonized by the RuSSian Orthodox Church and are considered martyrs... But, at the same time, RuSSians built a big church with the hammer and sickle... As we say: "Only in RuSSia"...

A... (why the hell does it keep posting three dots when I type awwwww?)

I think this forum allows only two "w" in "aww" from what I've noticed... ;D

The tsarist empire, the soviet union and the russian federation are all one thing with the same structures, only the borders and slogans changed.

Yes, basically. It's just RuSSian imperialism in different disguise every time.

jon357
6 Nov 2023  #4020

it doesn't change the fact that around 80 per cent of Moldovans speak Romanian on the every day basis

Nor does it change the fact that there's a distinct Moldavian identity and that the Gagauz nation. whose homeland in in Moldova speak a language from an entirely different family.

Incidentally, the Gagauz were generally pro-Soviet however this may have changed.
