Propaganda cesspool ? The Financial Times

Udmurtia's economy is in serious trouble and it's not going to get easier

There are yet to be confirmed reports that Russia may have lost two KA-52 helicopters this morning (one near Robotyne, one near Bakhmut).

Germany take it back, that promise they will spend such and such sum on their military. That dude just took it back.
Ach, they sell more weapon to Hungary but don't have enough to send to Ukrainie or their own military....
Nice :D

That dude just took it back.

....you can't trust him! One of the most weak and unpopular chancellors we ever had.....

German Chancellor Scholz's approval rating hits all-time low

aa.com.tr/en/europe/german-chancellor-scholz-s-approval-rating-hits-all-time-low/2961299

Chancellor Olaf Scholz's approval rating has plummeted to a new low, according to a new survey by public broadcaster ARD.

78% of Germans are not happy with Olaf Scholz's center-left liberal coalition government.....

....still two years to go! *big eye roll*

but don't have enough to send to Ukrainie or their own military.

We certainly need more weapons for the Bundeswehr, but I would say we are doing more than sufficient regarding Ukraine at this point.

Ironside

I would say we are doing more than sufficient regarding Ukraine at this point.

Its subjective, you make big and I mean really big promisses but you don't make them good in a big way too.
That is my point, not if you find your help for Ukrainie suffcient or nor. That your thing, just don't expect others to buy into your lies.

@Ironside

Germany has become the 2nd largest supplier of aid, including military aid to Ukraine, behind only the USA.

That is enough living up to promises in my book.

Germany has become the 2nd largest supplier of aid,

Are you doing it to feel good, to make the US give you a pat, or to force Russia to give up C, D, and L?

To make it easy on you, just use numbers like 1, 2, or 3.

4 will mean none of the above.

Germany has become the 2nd largest supplier of aid,

You need to advertise it better coz the world has no idea.

Are you doing it to feel good, to make the US give you a pat, or to force Russia to give up C, D, and L?

You forgot the option: keep up Ukraine`s defences to retain its independence.

It's quite interesting to see the donors' stats.

it would be even more to see who made it /.

The source is on there.

to see who made it /.

Who do you mean?

Tacitus

@jon357

The most accurate stats also include the share of EU money given by the various member states.

app.23degrees.io/view/DUeaa54W7KOQhFQD-bar-stacked-horizontal-bilateral-aid-with-eu-share

Particulary France, Italy and Spain are contributing a lot more this way than unilaterally.

Ironside
17 Aug 2023  #436

Does it include charity and contributions.by organizations or citizens.?

jon357
17 Aug 2023  #437

the share of EU money

The most accurate would be contributions per individual country by population size and/or GDP. Poland and the Baltics would score highly.

charity and contributions.by organizations or citizens.?

Hard to say, and again some countries' citizens are bigger givers than others traditionally. It could also include a sum representing value of labour among those who give time however that would make the statisticians' work harder.

And what difference does it make? Jon showed us aid data. If you look closely, you can see it is divided into 3 sections. Isn`t it enough, mr nitpicker???

Novichok
18 Aug 2023  #439

keep up Ukraine`s defences to retain its independence.

So it's 3? Good luck...

The most accurate stats also include the share of EU money given by the various member states.

You also need data on how much was stolen by Ukrainian "officials".

Ooops...I forgot that only Russians steal. So sorry...

Nicolas Sarkozy is a Frenchmen. This much is true no matter how much we can twist it or try to soften the fact (his maternal grandfather was a Jew who converted to Catholicism, his father was Hungarian etc.).

However, if we can find it in our hearts to look past his Frenchness and listen to what he has to say, then we might be surprised how sensible a person he is...

wydarzenia.interia.pl/raport-ukraina-rosja/news-byly-prezydent-francji-zaskakuje-mowi-o-referendach-w-okupow,nId,6968988

... basically, he proposes conducting internationally supervised referenda to decide the future of lands currently under Russian control in Ukraine. As a wise politician Sarkozy knows that one should always follow good, tested legal precedents, and such precedent was set in the case of Kosovo. Being a democrat Mr Sarkozy wants to allow the people of the lands torn by war to decide their future - a commendable attitude.

Of course, certain people might not be happy with such solution. In such case NATO should bomb them, like they bombed Serbia. One should always follow great solutions already tested by the Collective West. Thank you for pointing out the obvious, Mr Sarkozy.

Yet another retired statesman who thinks you can do business with Nazi Udmurtians

GefreiterKania

Frenchmen.

That, of course, should be "Frenchman". I was not suggesting that the former French president has multiple personalities.

@GefreiterKania

They will tell you now:

1) "he's got Putin's fist up his ass, animating his mouth."

2) "How much money did you take, Nicolas?"

3) "What is the taste like, of Putin's c*ck?"

Yet another retired statesman

Yet another convicted criminal..
"When the verdict came, it reduced the Paris court to a stunned silence: Nicolas Sarkozy was guilty of corruption and influence peddling, and sentenced to three years in prison, two of them suspended."

2) "How much money did you take, Nicolas?"

"Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy has been placed under preliminary investigation for "influence peddling," French media reported on Friday. The former head of state is under scrutiny for advisory work he undertook for a Russian insurance company, the reports said."

@GefreiterKania

If you are a Russophile and Slavophile, as you claim, then I think this year and next will be big years.

They tried, and they could not break us - with all their money, weapons, sanctions, and toxic hate.

Soon they will humiliate themselves, as they best know how. Syria was just a taste - there, they could claim they did not unleash all they had in store.

GefreiterKania

@Bobko you forgot "4) they will pull out all the dirt from his life to discredit him". Hey, amiga500, nobody is an angel, and certainly not any high-level politician.

If you are a Russophile and Slavophile

I am genuinely hurt by this "If". *pouts*

They tried, and they could not break us - with all their money

Yes, come to think of it, that's one positive side of having filthy rich political class - they can't be bought by foreigners.

Bobko

that's one positive side of having filthy rich political class

Haha, this is a funny observation.

Yes, by standards of Kremlin elite, most anyone is a pauper. Trump, an American billionaire, was viewed as errand boy.

Now think how Xi views Western elected officials...

Mr Sarkozy wants to allow the people of the lands torn by war to decide their future - a commendable attitude.

Which people.... those who originally lived there?

The ones killed by the russians?

The ones the russians shipped in afterward?

Sarkozy is a paid russian lobbyist....

"How much money did you take, Nicolas?"

They're saying 3 million euro....

Sarkozy is a paid russian lobbyist

Bobko, you are a clairvoyant extraoridnaire.

EDIT:

They're saying 3 million euro

That's peanuts money, Maf, for a man running a country like France. They should have given him 300 million euro, just when he assumed the office.

In general the Russian system of providing ruling politicians with loads of money make sense when you think of it. What can do more damage to the state - giving a couple of hundred million euros to a politician or risk him being bought by foreign influence?

EDIT2:

You beat me to it, Bobi. :)
