There's a very good article here. It sums up why r*SSia long ago stopped doing diplomacy (and how their diplomats hate this), the r*SSian attitudes to others, how so many of their official utterances are intended solely for the home market, how badly they really are losing (very badly), the comparisons with the Stalin and zhitle4 reg8mes and why r*SSia is a less formidable opponent than either of these and something else rather telling.

There used to be a lot of sympathy for russia in eastern Ukraine but that only exists among the senile now (see novichok here....)

young Ukrainians want nothing to do with russia not least because russian rule in Donbas was an unmitigated disaster..... russia could have turned it into a showplace of prosperity and Ukrainians would be begging for russian rule... but that's not how russia rolls so they instead they stole everything they could and brutalized the local population and in general destroyed the place (that's exactly how russians roll) Even Girkin who began the invasion admitted russian rule was a disaster there....

Those who called it right prior to the invasion (as opposed to clowns like Meathelmet, McGregor, Carlson, Micron etc) namely that r*SSia would invade and the war would not be quick, all said that Putler's window of opportunity was narrowing, if he'd left it for two years longer, it would be gone.

The Ministry of Defense has issued amendments to the official list of medical conditions, which grant exemption from conscription. The comments under the article are... not good.

These ailments will no longer provide exemption:

1) - clinically cured tuberculosis;
2) - viral hepatitis with minor dysfunction;
3) - asymptomatic carriage of HIV;
4) - slowly progressive and non-progressive with minor dysfunctions and rare exacerbations of diseases of the blood and hematopoietic organs, some disorders involving the immune mechanism

5) - diseases of the endocrine system with minor dysfunctions;
6) - mild short-term painful manifestations of mental disorders;
7) - neurotic, stress-related and somatoform disorders with moderate, short-term manifestations, with an asthenic condition;
8) - slowly progressive diseases of the central nervous system with minor dysfunctions;
9) - episodic and paroxysmal disorders, except for epilepsy, with minor dysfunctions of organs and systems.

Some further news, is that a draft law has been registered in the Rada, which cancels exemptions from service for men over 30 pursuing a second degree, graduate degree, or higher. The government hopes this will make an additional 60,000 men available for conscription (just during this year). The comments under the article are... also not good.

P.S. - Another piece of news, came from the leader of Zelensky's party - Arakhamia. He said, Ukraine will begin to seek the extradition of 1.5M Ukrainian men that have been living abroad since the war began. He commented, that before this wouldn't have been possible, but now Ukraine enjoys such a reputation with Western allies - that it is a near certainty that the extradition requests will be honored.
