Unfortunately my friend I think that will be the case. Unless Ukraine makes big moves in the next 12 months or so, the US with a new president will cut off funding or dramatically reduce it. I hope Ukraine makes that breakthrough, but Russia just keeps sending meat to the grinder and they can easily do so for another year and a half. They wont even empty the prisons in 18 months.

The agenda for republicans, particularly in the local races for for Congress and Senate are all centered on border security, tax reduction, the elimination of the department of education, reduction of IRS and they have stolen the Democratic policy of affordable housing. But people outside of the US who havent seen the politcal advertising on local levels for these important seats would have no idea what the platforms are until the actual presidential elections. The European view is largely centwered on who the US president will be when the Senate and Congressional elections are just as important. 33 senate seats and 435 congres seats up for grabs and those are very important elections. Naive? I dont think so. I have traveled the country and the US is in deep trouble, someone has to clean things up, and if not this election, the US as it once was will never return, and that is the most dangerous thing for the world.

Russia needs to be pushed out of Ukraine, I have not changed one bit on that concern. But time is running out, and no one could have predicted how things would be in the US at this point, and that is the difference. Biden's good intentions toward Ukraine are not as effective as they could have been. Good intentions dont win wars.

You do know thats a 2022 chart right? But even using that, "other" and "non defense disrectionary" is still 27%. Add in the Ukraine money and you're at almost 28% That is a lot of money to keep the majority of it in the US. The money spent on Ukraine thus far is well over 100 Billion. 100 Billion spent domestically, not only fixes a lot of infrastructure, but creates a whole lot of jobs, boosts the economy and creates new tax revenu. So, when people say its not a big deal, then it really isnt a big deal if the US doesnt send another 100 Billion or even just one billion more.

Ukraine needs to make something happen in a big way, or get to the negotiating table. But negotiating doesnt fit the Biden ajenda as that would force more eyes onto the situation in the US, and the Dems would have nothing to distract even their own voters with.
