Poland`s aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 8

Torq
8 Dec 2023  #811

even though they barely produced anything new since 1991

Exactly.

And it's been over 30 years since then. 30 years of Ukraine being a kleptocracy par excellence, making even Russia look like Switzerland in this regard.

I think PAK is right, if not for enormous US aid (in weapons, the EU is ahead in $$$), we would steamroll Ukraine.

Ukraine, sure. PAK, however, said something else: he said that you would steamroll the EU/European NATO. Frankly, ridiculous. Anyways, I didn't get back to PF to engage in all this girlie talk. I have waaaay too much testosterone for that. And I am so sick and tired of hearing how Russia would steamroll us - we are here where we have always been - haven't moved anywhere. The same geographical longitude and latitude, so Russia knows where to find us. Let's have some proper war instead of this tedious girlie threats. Meanwhile: *yaaaaaaawn*

Move in where?

Well, if the USA wants to withdraw from NATO/Europe - as PAK seems to be suggesting - and concentrate on their own stuff, like building a wall in Texas, fighting fentanyl, wokism, inflation or whatnot, then Europe needs to grow some hairy balls, because it means that we will remain the last mainstay of the Western Civilisation and the only real superpower in the world. Such position will require peace and stabilisation on our borders. If there is no peace, then the elements that introduce instability will need to be dealt with.

were wrong when they thought that superior western tech would smash the ruskis

Totally wrong.

Luckily, we have half-a-billion population and I'm sure we can still manufacture bayonets and artillery in large numbers if need be. I'm sick and tired of the constant estrogen politics. Let's have some f*cking testosterone already.

It was worth a shot. And it also has very severely degraded the russian military for future , ahem adventures.. Hence, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Japan, etc etc, will slowly take a bite of you.

peace and stabilisation on our borders

Where is the f*cking border Torq?

Bobko

last mainstay of the Western Civilisation and the only real superpower in the world

It hasn't even happened yet, and I'm already about to vomit.

If by some ungodly miracle Europe manages to coalesce into an actual threat, then I'm sure Russia would ally even with America to fight it.

Fortunately, European entropy is powerful and evident enough, that we don't have to discuss such silly topics.

It will forever be easy for countries like China, US, Russia, and even the UK to sow problems in Europe to impede their integration.

Where is the f*cking border Torq?

Google EU.

I'm sure Russia would ally even with America to fight it

I tried to tremble with fear but somehow only managed to shake with laughter.

Fortunately, European entropy

Have you been following the developments in European politics recently, Bobi? The process of closer integration has already started and the continuing war at our borders will only speed it up.

Remember when we talked some time ago and you marvelled at the fact that the EU accepted Poland and flooded us with the avalanche of money? They did it instinctively, because they needed our first-class quality testosterone in their estrogen-dominated public and political space (even if most of their politicians seemed male at first sight).

Now all those threats, years of disrespect, looking down on, underestimating and belittling Europe got too tedious and annoying at the same time. F*ck that. Enough of this bullsh*t. Let's have some good proper war and see who steamrolls whom. Fair enough, isn't it? Meanwhile, as I already pointed out: *yaaaaaaawn*.

It will forever be easy (...) to sow problems in Europe to impede their integration.

:)

There is a huge surprise in store for everyone who thinks so.

Just because there is a law allowing for anything, does not make the abuse of that law "just".

How is that law being "abused" though? If you mean politicians using this case for political reasons then that can happen with any case. That doesn't mean war crimes shouldn't be investigated.

western tech would smash the ruskis,

They have given them quite a smashing already. Kiev Kherson, Kharkiv, Vuledar and now the heavy losses at Adviika. The Russians have been fighting this war for two years now with little to show for it.

fight till they humiliate the ukris

Will be interesting to see if the Russians can endure enough humiliation until then.

Donald Trump Jr. erupted in a profanity-filled tirade against Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on social media on Thursday evening, demanding an end to U.S. support for Ukraine.

Trump Jr.'s remarks came in response to a right-wing account saying that former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson "confirm[ed]" that Austin warned "your uncles, cousins and sons" might be sent to fight in Russia if Ukraine didn't get the funding it needs.

"How about Go Fcuk Yourself!!!" wrote Trump Jr. "America doesn't need to keep funding an endless war with no path to victory. If NATO is worried about Russia encroaching on NATO maybe they should be funding more of this but as always they let America do all the funding while they get virtually all the benefit. No more big wars no more funding the military industrial complex! For those of you who are idiots Ukraine lost this war quite some time ago we're just keeping them on life-support with never ending money!"

I am making my comments on Russia's capability based mostly on the EU's incapability, and failure to come close to meeting the NATO investments they agreed to over the last few decades. While Russia is certainly down due to Ukraine, they are also certainly not out. There has been no full mobilization in Russia. Russia is already producing as much arms as they are using now, and they are producing more missiles than they are using now. Russia will not attack NATO, but Moldova looks ripe for them to take over. Probably should have started there instead of Ukraine.

For those knocking the US aid in Ukraine or lack of it, if not for the US training Ukraine soldiers and setting up their defensive plans since 2014, Ukraine would be Russian now. Thats just a fact. My contempt is for people anywhere, who think the US should continue to sacrifice itself for anyone else. I would hold the same contempt for anyone saying the EU should sacrifice itself for the US time and time again.

So I ask again. If Ukraine really wants to win this war, why no full mobilization? Why no full war time economy? Why, as reports say, did they refuse to follow US advice on the counter offensive? I have friends in Lviv and Kiev going to pubs and restaurants. Other friends opening new business's. People investing in real estate in Ukraine. None of this would be happening if Ukraine was treating this as a threat to their existance in my opinion. It would be every man getting a gun. Yet, Z thinks the US should still be giving billions of dollars. With all the continuing corruption in Ukraine, how does a congressman or senator explaing to their voters that sending billions to Ukraine is a better idea than issuing more stimulus checks to help people who cant pay their bills?

Alien

The matter is very simple @PolAmKrakow. This is not just a war between russia and Ukraine, but it is a war between systems in which the leader of one is the US and the other is russia. If the US withdraws, this 'American' system will lose. And the US cannot afford this. And the fact that life in Ukraine continues to be relatively normal can be explained by the fact that it is, after all, a limited, mainly positional war in a large European country. I believe that this helps a lot those Ukrainians who stayed in the country to survive this war.

and the other is russia

Is it?

Putin needs Peking to beg for help and support....that doesn't look all that powerful....

Alien

Putin needs Peking to beg for help and support....that

But China avoids any war, and in fact it is not an ally of russia, in fact it feels disgusted towards russians. China is winning economically and now even technologically. This is their war.

@Alien
The US does not lose if no more support is given. Support will come, but there will not be any more cash. That support will come when Biden does the right thing for his own country first. The US could pull all support and it would not lose. Europeans like to think the US would lose, but all that would happen is that the EU would be forced to step up or shut up. Z needs to fully mobilize, and fully integrate into a war time economy to convince the American people that this war is worth the expense. You will never convince someone from Allentown PA that the US should spend more billions, when schools in his town cant pay for new books. The "west" has always been about the "American way", the dream, and freedom. Yet the EU and the whole world is watching that dream be destroyed by its own government who is owned by special interests. Without the US investing in itself, there is no shining beacon of freedom. But hey, keep spending in Ukraine, never mind your border or your own citizens. Thats just a fvcking stupid way to operate.

jon357
9 Dec 2023  #825

The "west" has always been about the "American way", the dream, and freedom

Since "the American way" doesn't even work in its own country, you should not assume that other developed western countries aspire to it. I don't see any more 'freedom' there, especially among the working class.

when schools in his town cant pay for new books

That is not due to spending on overseas wars.

If Ukraine really wants to win this war, why no full mobilization? Why no full war time economy?

I think that throughout the last two years I made my position on Ukrainian question abundantly clear: I have always believed and still do that extremely little f*ck should be given about countries that in the 21st century still glorify and cherish Nazi sickf*cks and/or their collaborators. Sorry for stating the obvious.

However, at the time when Russia - in a fit of senile rage - decided to restore the USSR, it is more useful to have Ukraine fighting them than joining them (and, as Bobko said, there are already such voices rising in Ukraine). Realpolitik, PAK, realpolitik.

^^ Damn it. I keep logging into the old account by mistake.

Anyways, it should be made clear to Ukraine that either they limit the stealing to an absolute minimum required by their lovely culture, or there won't be any more money coming. Use simple language. Short sentences. No metaphors or latinate vocabulary. They'll understand.

These old fvcks in the US dont care unless they are making money off of the wars,

I don't mind if they do as long as they make money for the rest of us, too, by charging those the US protects a protection fee. Cops don't work for free.

I have this nagging feeling that Korea and Germany are charging us rent for the bases.

You like to think you are an American expert, but you are not. Department of education funding, and federal funds per student directly effect the purchasing power of schools and teachers. This is known, because the teachers union in the US talks about it every day. Taking money to fund a war that could be spent in schools, hospitals, roads, infrastructure and job training is whats happening. The "American way" is still very alive, all you see are the freak shows on leftist news. There are cummunities everywhere that do not suffer from the rot taking place from within. These are the communities with low or no crime, no immigration or migrants, and great police forces. Places with local taxes being used to improve local communites. Lots of places like this. One thing each American $hit hole city has in common; Democrat leadership.

@Torq
In theory I agree with you. In practice though, when the US is giving all these weapons and money, shouldnt Ukraine follow instructions? Clearly the training and tactics given to Ukraine since 2014 worked to keep the Russians out of Kiev. Ukraine, by all reports is running out of men. Why? Becuase they fought for land that was not strategic, and really wasted the entire summer. Now, they are running out of time, not just for the next roound of aid, but for the US elections. A year from now we will likely have a new US President Elect, and this war will likely be forced to be over. If Trump wins, and I hope its not him, but if it is, negotiations will start almost immediately or Z will be completely cut off. Thats how Trump works. Biden wont win. The best thing for Ukraine is a Kennedy win, and that is probably the best thing for the world.

My Nobel Prize-grade Z-P=0 aside, let's compare life in Novosibirsk - a city in a tyrannical Russia terrorized by that war criminal dictator Putin - with life in Peoria, Illinois, where "freedom and democracy" is everybody's lips, from sunrise to sunset.

My question is, other than the size of his paycheck, in what way is Ivan worse off than John? Assume that neither is an activist posting weird sh*it on the Internet. They just get up, go to work...you know the rest...

So what is J-I? Or Biden-Putin?
I can start the list:
1. Ivan's kids are never told they can change gender without telling Ivan. Terrible...

Then you should want as quick a victory as possible!

A faster way to relieve me of this burden is if they surrender. That's what the French and the Poles did in WW2.

And in the United States, when someone isnt doing the job you are paying them to do you fire them. There is no work contract, and no three months to find a new job. Thats how real life works. Two years, and Ukraine has taken back little of what Russia took in the first six months. There are good investments and there are bad investments. But hey, if you guys want to buy Enron stock, I am sure someone can find you some.

Quoting:

The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued a warrant for Maria 'Masha' Gessen, the former head of US-state-run media network Radio Liberty in Moscow, the media outlet RBK reported on Friday, citing the ministry's electronic database.

The 56-year-old has been an outspoken LGBTQ advocate. The Russian Supreme Court banned the "international LGBT public movement" as an extremist organization last week.

Off the subject...As I already said, lesbians are simply women so ugly that no man wants them...

As far as the LGBT "movement"...They were told to stay away from Russian kids but they wouldn't listen.
