Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 11

Polish people post in this thread very infrequently now

This doesn't surprise me

What polish people, Bobko?

Real polish people, who care about future of Poland. The rest is a chair warriors that ready to fight to a last pole from far away.

What polish people, Bobko?

Everybody almost, except for Korvinus (no idea who he is).

Torq has stopped for the most part, Pawian, Paulina, Lenka, Iron, Gregy, and our very own Mr. Grunwald.

I think the reasons are obvious. The Russians are only partly to blame for the situation.

For me - the goal of being on a Polish forum is to fight for the hearts and minds of Poles, not expats or tourists.

I think I'm gonna sign off from this thread until a Russian victory/defeat.

Under no conditions will Russia be defeated. That makes me a better Russian.
I am not the only one...Even the US MICC doesn't want Russia defeated.

I still have an interest in everything to do with Poland.

I couldn't care less...
My only interest is in how much the US will spend on this loser and the risk of getting into a real war with Russia.

If Europe disappeared tomorrow, I would still get up in the morning and have my three eggs over easy.

Na ja....I would say you underestimate the effect of such an international "meeting" board like PF greatly if you only look at your direct poster counterpart.

For every poster there are hundreds, with time thousands, of silent only-readers you will never meet in your life, but whose opinions you could influence and even change.

Who probably never met, and maybe never will meet, a honest, serious, "enemy" Russian in their lives, outside of news and "experts" mouthpieces in the media...

Keep that always in mind when you post...you might be gone, but your texts will stay....and for the better or worse influence opinions, even when you are no longer here!

That is why I love PF.

But, to Vincent and Admin's irritation - this thread has already gone on through 11 - 11! - iterations.

None of us - ZERO - are fighting in Ukraine. The cheerleading from both sides, is definitely not something I want somebody seeing years from now and trying to learn from - though I studied history and know the utility of such sources.

There's just not much more we can teach each other, or throw at each other, three years deep into this conflict. The soldiers at the front are exhausted beyond death, and I guess in some small 1/1000th of a way it reflects on us here too - little warriors of the information front. For normal people, I think Ukraine has long since faded from attention.

So, that's why I say back to discussing actual Polish matters :)

Some of us have in laws who are defending their country from invasion, as well as in laws on the other side.

SMO or whatever...Why the hell is the Parliament building in Kiev still standing? Why are any U gov buildings in Kiev still standing?
Why is Z still alive?

This is not a war or even a "special operation". It looks more like a Russian version of "hearts and minds" crap.

Brutal and quick is the only way...or just don't...

Because the Ukrainian managed stop the Russians from reaching Kiev. Hence the Russians have been unable to do to Kiev what they have done to many other Ukrainian villages and towns.

The Russians only needed a few weeks to almost completely destroy Vovchansk during their current offensive.

You could always try to not post stupid things that can be refuted within 30 seconds if you dislike this feeling so much.

Yes, idiot, Russia must be in Kiev to blow up a building across the street...Sure...Hello...any brain cells there?

How about those flying bombs? How about cruise missiles? How about drowns? Yemeni goat herders can bomb from a distance but Russia, with its superior tech, can't.

Do you realize how painful your posts must be to BB?

North Nigeria has superior tech ? Right

The reason it hasn't destroyed Kiev is because they won't take their air force out of the hangars. Their missiles and drones are not accurate enough and in any case Ukraine has pretty good air defenses.

Three years in, we have exhausted all reserves of feces to sling at each other.

Let the men at the front decide who is right.

Hear, hear!

This thread became horribly toxic long time ago, and it takes a lot of mental endurance to keep reading it (not to mention taking active part in it).

If they want to shell it to the ground then yes. Hence the Ukrainians doing all in their power to keep Russians away from Kharkiv.

How about cruise missiles?

In case you haven't noticed, they use them constantly.

Most of them are intercepted.

google.com/amp/s/bbc.com/news/world-europe-68623415.amp

Yemeni goat herders

It is not that hard to attack civilian ships with drones.

How about those flying bombs

Kiev is too far away from the front line for that.

but Russia, with its superior tech, can't.

Russia's tech is so superior that a lot of it can be intercepted with Gepard tanks that were developed in the 1970s, while Patriots and Iris-T have shown themselves of being able to intercept even Russia's best missiles.

The Russians have been trying to make Ukraine unliveable by targeting civilian infrastructure. They have failed so far thanks to the determination of the Ukrainians and the support from the West.

The Russians have however caused significant damage to Ukraine. According to conservative estimates are more than 210.000 have been destroyed.

kyivindependent.com/russias-war-has-destroyed-at-least-210-000-buildings-in-ukraine-nyt-analysis-reveals/#:~:text=At%20least%20210%2C000%20buildings%20in%20Ukraine%20have%20been%20destroyed%20since,Times%20(NYT)%20has%20found.

I hope you feel stupid for once for raising those absurd points.

I don't think Ukraine has faded from attention - in Poland it's one of the top 3 issues and in most European countries it is in the top 10.

How do you hope to win hearts and minds in Poland ?

There has been an illegal invasion accompanies by some atrocities we haven't seen in Europe since the days of Milosevic
Putler justifies it to his people on telly with a 2 hour lecture starting in the 9th century
Official media sources in Moscow then start saying Poland will be next
Clear that many in Moscow see 1989 as a mistake and that Poland is in their sphere of influence

You can argue about what living standards are like in Omsk but no Poles want to live like that again. We don't think Ukraine or Ukrainians are perfect and we are getting annoyed too by the draft dodging and some of their lifestyle choices while they are our guests. But there is a clear right and wrong in this conflict - in Feb 22 nobody was bombing or driving tanks. That was started by Putin and his spineless ministers who sat in a circle like vegetables while he lectured them.

In some Western countries there are a few supporters of Putler both on tbe left and right, from general anti Americans to weird alt right younger guys. In Poland however neither of those fringes supports the invasion.

The only Pole on here who really supported the idea was Dirk, RIP. Like most of us he was a dual citizen but was in Poland quite often.

Anyway Bobko, hope you stay safe and certainly don't get any crazy ideas about signing up for this senseless war.

By force.... russians aren't into winning hearts and minds... they're too obsessed with power games and humiliation (if they're not humiliating some country they feel they're being humiliated). He wrote more than once about potential divisions that could be exploited..... not a nice person

Just a question here.... what is the normal rate for people to fall out of windows to their deaths?

I know it does happen but I wonder if anyone has any figures to hand (especially broken down by socio-economic variables).

Quick googling would seem to indicate it's mostly children... and russians.... especially russians who become embarassing or inconvenient to those in power....

Latest was a judge who until a few months ago was involved in sentencing those arrested for political crimes.

Did she fall or was she pushed? Supposedly she had recently fallen for some kind of scam and had transferred a lot of money (for russia....) into shady accounts.

Stinger: the accounts might be managed by the Ukrainian military...

Of course you have a very credible source for such data and you will post a link to that source on PF in order to prove the above claim? :D
