5) Their allies all happen to be the richest and most powerful countries in the world. Also, these allies are not just watching, but actively helping.

The richest countries are rich because they are capitalist countries that has nothing to do with democracy. Lets not confuse things. Democracy has zero to do with wealth. In fact it can be argued that the biggest threat to wealth is far left democracies.

Second. My self worth and the worth of my country and culture aren't dependent on how well the army is destroying things and killing people.

Afghanistan was a mistake from start to finish and I didn't support that boondoggle for a second, partly because.... as stupid and violent and primitive as the Taliban is... they had something like 90% support of the stupid, violent and primitive Afghan public.

The only mistake since is letting them out. If they want to live like Afghans in their own country great. There is no need for Afghan values or Afghan people in Europe.

Actually in retrospect Soviet involvement in the country was probably an improvement over the natural Afghan state. Most Afghan students in communist countries at the time sided with the Soviets because as bad and stupid as the SSSR was.... they realized it was still civilizational progress compared to Afghanistan.
