into Bolshevik Russia... following a civil war
This is something I haven't mentioned before...
One of the most satisfying aspects of this war, if there can be any such aspects, is the experience of finding floundering Westerners.
Gargantuan weapon supplies - don't work as expected.
Floods of cash - don't work as expected.
More sanctions than have ever been applied against any single country - ditto.

The best, however, is when their experienced combat vets go there and start crying within a month or two about how... "we were not trained for this in Afghanistan" or "we've never seen combat of this intensity in Iraq" and so on and so forth.
The Western toolkit, so tried and so meticulously tested, doesn't seem to produce the desired results in this particle theater.
Despite all the "orcs", "subhumans", "slaves", and everything else we had to endure... the best proof of their impotence is what they write among themselves.
With Russia, they finally bit off quite a bit more than they can chew. It's not as if they should be surprised either - since their forefathers like Napoleon and Hitler had already quite well digested this message.
It makes one feel good, not just for one self, but also for the faceless millions in Afghanistan and Iraq and Libya and other places.
They finally met their match guys... and they are performing just about as pathetically as expected.
