I spent years studying the divide and the core of Arminian-Reformed controversy. It is a debate ongoing for about five centuries and both sides would seem to be quite unwilling to agree with the other side. Even Catholics and Lutherans managed to sign the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine Justification whilst nothing comparable happened between Arminian and Reformed churches. I see it linked, a lot of countries support Ukraine for various reasons. One of the biggest grudges from Russian side (probably also agreed with more countries) is that it sees itself as better, equal or atleast in the same league or category. Enough for it not to expect to be judged harshly and be able to do the same thing as U.S.A on the international arena (regardless of it being good or bad. It doesn't want to appear weaker then America).

Russia mainly see this as a fight «Russia vs U.S.A» so of course Russian aspect of this should be included if Poland is to more or less aid to Ukraine! :)

In all honesty, if we are discussing why American religious nuts want to support Israel we should do it in the Israel thread. Not in the Ukrainian thread.

But like you, I see all these things as linked.

Russia is a big country. It's not Sudan or Libya. What happens in Russia, and when Russia goes to war - it affects other people in a deeper way than the goings on, and the wars in other places.

This time, rather unintentionally, Israel helped Ukraine. Russia simply won't get as many Iranian drones as it would like. Iran will need them to retaliate against Israel. 🛩

The Persians are the Persians. They live all jammed together in an especially vulnerable bit of that country. The Europeans in the northwest and the Arabs in the southwest of course don't always like the Persians much.

Russia has captured many multiples of Estonias, Latvias, and Lithuanias in Ukraine.

Given that Israel is a little tougher, it should take a few weeks extra.

A territory the size of Israel, the drunkest, most incompetent Russian army, could roll over in a matter of weeks. This is where everything breaks, and no one wants to fight and instead wants to go home. Even then, I think we could handle Israel's conventional military.

If they somehow beat us, and we are embarrassed, we can always nuke them to oblivion and pretend it never happened.

Israel has a population of 10 million. Even if you wiped them out completely, then still 200 Israeli nukes, fired at largest Russian cities in retaliation, would kill many more Russians than the entire population of Israel.

That's why a country doesn't have to match American/Russian nuclear potential to have a good enough deterrent. It's sufficient to have enough nukes to make using them against you unprofitable.

That's exactly what is going to happen. By striking nuclear facilities Israel conducted a nuclear strike on Iran so the Ukrainians, or less likely the Russians can continue shelling the Zaporizhzhia power plant. It appears that targeting civilians by slamming missiles into residential buildings is now officially ok.

A nuclear Iran is in no one's interests nor is a nuclear Saudi or Egypt, Israel and the US have just guaranteed that.

If you've not read it, I strongly recommend a book called The Power Of Geography by Tim Marshall. It's light and easy reading (like freakonomics but a bit more rigorous) The chapter on Iran is maybe the best in the book.
