Poland's aid to Ukraine if Russia invades - part 28

mafketis

people rising up against a dictator amidst a war to end said war?

In other words, the russian government has no motivation to stop the war....

Most normal people realize this, but Trump, somehow, despite being humiliated again and again by putin still fantasizes about their 'great' relationship.... aided by utter morons like Witkoff and Kushner....

but Trump, somehow, despite being humiliated again and again by putin still fantasizes about their 'great' relationship....

....yeah....that is also for me the great question, what goes on in Trump's head concerning Putin.

One could dream of a "Maduro action" in Moscow....this war would be over in a day, or two....with barely any more bloodshed....a dream, I know....

It's absurd to think that the US or the EU seriously expect Ukraine to surrender a third of its territory, even with an immediate access to the EU membership. No country with any sense of sovereignty would ever accept that. If it was Poland, its leaders would refuse this, too.

I don't know. Maybe Putin's successor would be less determined to push through his inflated demands, but he'd hardly survive making concessions that would end the war swiftly.

You are one interesting fruit.

That has nothing whatsoever to do with the comment and a reply like this just undermines your position.

a quote or two:

"he mood is bleak. Nikita Tretyakov says there is "nothing left to hope for; all hopes and illusions have been shattered"

"we believed that our leadership, having grown up in our country, shared our views on some fundamental issues...Four years have passed-and not a single stone remains of that country of ours "

Russia's invasion of Ukraine has been a complete disaster for both Ukraine and Russia.... what a stupid waste of time and lives!
It also shows that Russia's claims of being a military "Superpower" are false...... their armed forces are weak and useless.
Russia is fvcked part 44.

This evening I watched the documentary: The Zero Line: Inside Russia's War.

A harrowing watch which left me feeling quite depressed to say the least. It really brought home the brutality and hopelessness of the situation inside Russia. Very brave people who had the courage to speak out.

It tells of Russian commanders 'zeroing' ( executing ) their own troops as told by four Russian soldiers who escaped. The documentary also interviews civilians and Russian dissidents who were tortured and raped.

This article explains in further detail and has a 5 minute video clip from the documentary at the beginning. It also links to the full documentary on BBC iPlayer which is available for 11 months.

Not sure if anyone outside the UK can watch it even with a VPN, but for those here who might be interested in watching, here is the link:

Hey idiot - look outside and smell the roses!

Your imperial overlord has attacked a new country.

You have bigger problems to think about, than Russian toilets!

Interesting take.... russians are not an ethnicity but a mindset defined by subservience to the tsar (whatever he may be called at any particular moment)

x.com/JayinKyiv/status/2028004111761690874

As one comment put it: " Iranians & Ukrainians are willing to die in the 10's of thousands for freedom, Russians are willing to die in the millions to remain serfs"

Imagine being proud of being obedient and apathetic....

Imagine being proud of being obedient and apathetic...

Imagine history being able to shape nations' attitudes and characteristics!

Historical circumstances made Russians value security and central authority more than pluralism and political freedom. We discussed it about a c*ntillion times, Maf.

Russians value security and central authority

Which is why they shouldn't be able to spread this model to other countries

Anyway looks like the NNs are increasingly friendless - they didn't lift a finger to help their Muslim fundamentalist allies. Guess they will be sourcing their drones in Eritrea now

Historical circumstances made Russians

It is for sure interesting and maybe even useful to understand what circumstances shaped nations, but it doesn't change the fact that those attitudes and characteristics ate sh1tty in case of RuSSians.

Russian economy is in freefall, even with them completely losing their sanity and willing to burn through everything to fight until the full collapse, it won't last longer than few years. Especially as US keeps consistently removing their allies, while they're bogged down in Ukrainian fields. China would have to step in to save Russia, but Xi won't sink billions into a lost cause - if they were going to go all in with their support, they would have done so long time ago, before US had time to start using the opportunity to start dismantling eastern influence around the globe. At this point Russian defeat is a certainty, assuming a meteorite doesn't fall from the sky to destroy the whole west or smth, it's already over. Putin will just prolong it as long as he can, even if it destroys Russia, because that's the only way to buy himself few more years of living, the moment he admits defeat, he's dead.

It hurts me to see possibly the most harmless and well-meaning, decent guy on this forum (Milo) arguing with possibly the most sharp and intelligent (Bobko). You should both turn your energies towards the "AmPols", who are arguably the most stupid and malevolent. Join forces, fellas.
