Yeah, a 'right-wing government' - the prime minister of this 'right-wing government' openly declares that 'socialist, working class thought' is 'deeply rooted' in the ruling party's philosophy, recently made a deal with rainbow-commies and post-commies to partake in the eu covid relief fund that is going to leave us in a mountain of debt.

Here's What Spy Unit Tapped EU Leadership's Phones

Operation Dunhammer was an internal investigation conducted by the Danish Defence Intelligence Service (FE) which concluded the agency cooperated with NSA to wiretap senior politicians, government officials and entities of certain European Union countries.

In May 2015 four FE military hackers/analysts alerted FE Chief Tomas Ahrenkiel that in 2014 they suspected NSA was secretly spying on Denmark's closest neighbors.

disclose.tv/t/another-nsa-scandal-what-obamas-spy-unit-tapped-eu-leadership-s-phones/34601

Undoubtedly, the uncovered fact of systematic spying by the United States on its allies significantly undermines trust within NATO. Angela Merkel has repeatedly stated that the US is no longer a reliable partner. Emmanuel Macron also described Washington's behavior as "unacceptable". All this calls into question the effectiveness of the North Atlantic alliance. It seems that the solidarity among NATO members falls apart like a card-castle. Most likely, soon it may suffer the Warsaw Pact Organization's fate.

Meanwhile the eavesdropping scandal will barely affect the United States; however, it will significantly disrupt Europe's unity. France and Germany demand answers, while the Danish authorities refuse to comment on "speculations in mass media". It looks like some EU countries prefer to build relations with Biden administration, ignoring the interests of their closest neighbors.

Damn I just heard about the gas shortages in Britain.
Why are people hording ?
Things are falling apart in the U.K.
Then there is the drinking water thing.
UK TO BEGIN NATION-WIDE FLUORIDATION OF TAP WATER
The story focuses on a joint statement the Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland published on Thursday, which recommends everyone, everywhere should have fluoride added to their water supply.

The British government is expected start adding fluoride to the drinking water all over the country according to a story in the Guardian.
I wonder if the Muslim population is going to allow this. :-/

Why are you crying about Fluoride in the UK ? It's been public health policy in the USA for decades.

johnny reb
28 Sep 2021  #697

Now Love, no one is crying as I wasn't comparing the U.K. with the U.S. (God forbid) lol
Quit being so damn touchy with your provoking inferiority complex.
I stated that the Brit's were hording gas and wondered why ?
Then I stated that finally England was catching up by putting fluoride in their drinking water to help prevent tooth decay.
We all know how that is so desperately needed in the U.K.
The U.S. started such a practice 75 years ago. :-)
Now just settle down and contain yourself and quit trying to escalate my harmless post into one of your negative pis/sing contests.

Fluoridisation has been happening

Q: Where did the governments acquire the right to treat people without their consent?
A: When they acquired the people as their property.
Q: Can the governments put anything into the water supply to control the people and how they behave?
A: Yes, they can. Just as you and I can control our pets.

Finally? Fluoridisation has been happening for decades and is a success.

Yes jon, finally for the other 90%.
While fluoridation is already in place in some parts of the UK, it has always been considered a matter for local government and currently affects less than 10% of the country.

Therefore, "FINALLY" was a very fitting word, wouldn't you say ole chap ?

jon357
28 Sep 2021  #700

Yes jon, finally

No Jim, not 'finally' at all.

Despite your 3 seconds of 'online research', fluoridisation has been happening for decades, and rightly so.

without their consent?

People consent at the ballot box.

hording gas

Hoarding. And how could somebody hoard gas? It comes to your house for cooking and central heating via a pipe.

Depends, some people buy them in gas containers

jon357
28 Sep 2021  #702

In the countryside where there isn't always a gas main, certainly yes. Usually pressurised cylinders though, containing propane and butane for cooking/heating

how could somebody hoard gas?

I wasn't talking cooking or heating gas, I was talking what you Brit's call 'petrol' and we Americans call gas.
One third of your gas stations have closed causing panic buying and hoarding.
Well here jon, read it for yourself and then come back and try to play stupid and deny that hoarding gasoline/petrol isn't going on in Britain.

Yupp (I learned it recently, awfully fascinating to learn how gas is used)

@johnny reb
Oh so you meant petrol (btw I have seen gas been used by cars too, which surprised me)

jon357
28 Sep 2021  #705

During the war, my grandfather had a car with a big bag of gas on top. He worked for the Gas Board and his job during the Liverpool Blitz involved going round switching the gas mains off after bombing, for obvious reasons.

There is LPG though. Never that popular in Poland due to disadvantageous taxation. I used to work in the LPG refinery in Swarędz. An interesting place.

Still waiting jon for you to defend your diminishing remarks to the contrary of what I first stated.

Cool!

There are photos of those cars on google images. All I remember is an old box file with ARP written on in indelible pencil (another wartime thing, the pencils that people used to lick to make the writing permanent).

Extremely dangerous, but then again, it was during a war and the effects of not turning the gas main off during a firestorm would have been far worse.

Well hopefully the royal family can do something, when it was a oil crisis in Norway. The king took public transport in solidarity with the rest of the population while on his way to go skiing, which a lucky journalist got a picture of.

It could lift some steam off the population, showing an example

One can only hope

Well hopefully the royal family can do something

Ours don't say very much in general or make many gestures, though one of them has long been at the forefront of green issues. People used to mock him, however he's been proven right on every point he made; not a bad thing at all for a future King.

BJ took the train to the climate conference when in the US recently, though that was I suspect mostly for show.

One can only hope

Indeed, however I suspect it will get worse before it gets better and the general prognosis isn't great. I arrived back home in PL last night and until April will be either here at home, at work in the desert or in a third country for certain reasons; basically anywhere and everywhere except the UK. Worrying when you have elderly and ill family members there and there are potential shortages of petrol, medicines and foodstuffs. People there do tend to pull together during adversity and hopefully the storm will be ridden.

So far, the empty shelves are more about newspaper images and soundbites than the reality on the ground. What happens over the next few months do however matter.

People consent at the ballot box.

I know you are screwing with my brain but I will still give you a chance to make your point.
Name the relevant differences between ballot boxes anywhere. The only thing the ruling mob allows you to do is to pick actors. From then on, the only thing you and other sheep have to control what the ruling mob does is riots. See Australia and their Covid Gestapo.

Hoarding. And how could somebody hoard gas?

Look here jon at this minute video of the gas lines and then say that with a straight face.
It even has British accents reporting.
Deny the long waiting lines at the gas stations in the video jon.
They now have put the British Army on stand bye it is getting so bad with fist fights breaking out.
Britain is falling apart at the seams.

Wrong again jon, it's you Socialists that want everything free that has created this denial of yours.
It's now coming back to bite you as nothing is free.

Worrying when you have elderly and ill family members there and there are potential shortages of petrol,

If people didn't panic there wouldn't be a problem.

There is more than enough food. What we have is shortage of the 'they don't have what I like' kind.

And hiw can anyone connect that to socialism is beyond me really but hey ho.

Lenka, it is called SARCASM !
I love pushing jon's arrogant buttons.
You either have to start learning how to laugh at yourselves OR I WILL DO IT FOR YOU !

If people didn't panic there wouldn't be a problem.

Exactly Lenka, the same thing happened here in the U.S. during the lock down.
For some stupid reason everyone went out and bought all the toilet paper creating a shortage.
After the lock down everyone had a two year supply of toilet paper.
The Brit's are no different when it comes to panicking as it's human nature.

If people didn't panic there wouldn't be a problem.

This is pretty well what people are saying on the ground. Unfortunately, when panic buying starts, it tends to either peter out, snowball or be eventually dealt with by some sort of rationing.

And how can anyone connect that to socialism is beyond me really but hey ho.

It doesn't take much for nonsense to surface, sadly.

Unfortunately, when panic buying starts

The panic buying was orchestrated by the fuel companies and their trucking contractors who wanted the government to bend on cheap eu labour

jon357

The panic buying was orchestrated by the fuel companies

If anything, by the media who want to see drama, though, yes, the issue of EU citizens' movement/work and warnings from fuel companies and logistics companies does have its role too.

Plus short sightedness by the Tory government who did not heed multiple warnings several years ago that the average age of HGV Drivers was 55, that few new ones were training and that the loss of the cabotage system would only encourage more early retirement.

I'm just back from a few months there, and it's worth mentioning that during that time I didn't notice any petrol station queues or empty shelves. I did notice that locally (the area I was in is a massive logistics hub) there are more vacancies than people to fill them, and that many (really many) buses are being cancelled because of a driver shortage to the extent that the timetables during most of the day are no longer functional..

Dozen ministers want EU to finance border walls

Festung Europa is being build, mark my words....it's only a matter of time!

....Interior ministers from 12 member states are demanding the EU finance border-wall projects to stop migrants entering through Belarus, in a further push towards creating a fortress Europe.

In a letter dated 7 October (Thursday), the ministers asked the European Commission to tweak external border-entry rules to include walls and fences.

"Physical barriers appear to be an effective border protection measure that serves the interest of the whole EU, not just member states of first arrival," they said in their letter to EU commission vice-president Margaritis Schinas and EU home-affairs commissioner Ylva Johansson.

"This legitimate measure should be additionally and adequately funded from the EU budget as a matter of priority," they said.....

euobserver.com/migration/153169

....The four-page letter was signed by the interior ministers of Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, and Slovakia....

Not directly the "core" but at least Austria has some weight to shuffle, and be it only because of their connection with Germany...it's a start!

(Of course that current kerfuffle between Poland and the EU is not helping that cause at all....)
