On track for a constitutional (2/3rds) majority. The largest opposition alliance is boycotting the election.

The largest opposition alliance is boycotting the election.

Why? Do they suspect that the election might be rigged?

``Welcome dear friend!``

Hello, my little yellow friends.... How about a kiss!

Tusk of Poland also loves Serbia. He is a Serb after all.

Tusk is Serbian?????????

I just looked it up, and NO he isn't! Just more fictitious stories about Serbia and he wonders why ppl call him a troll.

Tusk was born in Gdańsk in northern Poland.[6] He has German (maternal grandmother

You basically lost all your credibility after the propaganda and stories you embellish about Serbia. Nobody in their right mind should ever believe a word you say.

Usual games in Serbia, basically. For instance, the SNS wasn't allowing opposition parties to even propose legislation, while opposition parties also couldn't take place in parliamentary committees. Nothing unusual for keen followers of ex-Yugoslavia ;)

Curiously, the Serbian government is making it easier for Albanians and other minorities to enter the parliament - there's an interesting rule that national minority candidates in Serbia will now get 35% more votes than they actually got, combined with the threshold now being 3% as opposed to 5%. A cynic might suggest that the real idea is to completely split the parliament between lots of small parties and one big tent party...

Personal life

Tusk belongs to the Kashubian minority in Poland

So what you want? If Tusk is Kashub, he is a Serb. Kashubs consider themselves Serbs.

And why is he minority in Poland? I didn`t know for this. How Poland dare? Kashubian Serbs are primary populace of Poland, same as all Serbs are primary populace to entire Europe. But, well, better to be minority in Poland then exterminated in Germany.

Why? Do they suspect that the election might be rigged?

No, they are obviously pro-German and non give a sh** for what they speak.

If one wants to vote for opposition those who boycott elections wouldn`t be a choice. It in fact even isn`t opposition and don`t have such a capacity. Its a charade. Their boycott is a good joke, because they anyway won`t get enough voices to enter parliament.

Hello, my little yellow friends.... How about a kiss!

Sorry, we don't talk this way to Hungarians. We had some issues in history but not religious wars or wars of extermination. Germanics are those who tried to seed hatred among us but at the end they failed. More often we were in alliance, even before Ottomans came to Europe. Our nobility intermarried.

Now, at a time when western Europe pump Croat, Romanian, and other regional states against Serbs and Hungarians, our old alliance is re-forged.

Interesting, I thought Poles have good ties to Hungarians. Why insult them? Are you Polish?

Kashubs consider themselves Serbs.

I'm not entirely sure if Kashubs are aware of that. Make sure you tell them when you visit Pomerania. And come to Gdańsk as well - I'll buy you a beer or two. :)

Crow

I'm not entirely sure

They do. They are Serbs deep in their very hearts and loyal to the bone to Poland, while Poland never paid them well for loyalty. When Serbs from Balkan talks to Kashubs, its always emotional. Kashubs opening to us and s[eak of their pain. They are loyal to Poland but suffer because exposed to assimilation, humiliation and negation. We understand each other. We are Christians all and at the same time, we are devoted to our common pre-Christian tradition.

Serbian documentary TV program on Kashubs > video at 7: 16 .... you can listen that they know of their Serbian older ethnicity, Germans also knew them as Kashubian Serbs >>>>

while Poland never paid them well for loyalty.

In the old days this might have been true, but nowadays Kashubs are a well respected, and in Pomerania even celebrated, minority. They have their education, cultural institutions, bilingual place names on signs etc. Kashubs have always been staunchly loyal to Poland, and they consider themselves Kashubian and Polish. I spent most of my life in Kashubia, and believe me - they are good people: patriotic, hard-working, good Catholics.

Also, the lands of Kashubia...

Kashubia

...are almost all a part of Pomerania...

Pomerania

So, our Vojvodship can truly be called the Home of Cassubians :)

I'm not sure if your theory about them being Serbs is entirely accurate, Crow. They are a Lechitic tribe - West Slavic, not Southern Slavic.

P.S. In your documentary one of the speakers is Karol Roda - the president of Kaszebsko Jednota, a Kashubian national organisation which is financed by Polish Internal Affairs Ministry, so nowadays, they are certainly not discriminated.

Crow
17 May 2020  #1539

We are all those ancient Serbs that held backbone from Balkan to Baltic after Ice age was finished. Our languages on that line are very similar and close, closer then to languages of other Slavs. Its all said on that video by Kashubs themselves.

They are a Lechitic tribe - West Slavic, not Southern Slavic.

From old backbone Serbs/Slavs spread on all sides of ancient Europe. Realm of that backbone is older then the concept of West, East, North or South Slavs. First, there was that line of life that gave other Slavs, Europe and West.

The Serbian army was called to intervene in a northern city in order to protect citizens from molesting by migrants near migrant camps. What is worrying is that we see a mostly young man in full strength, capable to work and for the army. Voices say that they didn't quite escape from war but that they actually were perpetrators of war, veteran ISIS fighters

Why are the soldiers' faces covered? Are they special forces?

Seems a bit odd to call in special forces to deal with a bunch of unarmed immigrants.

delphiandomine
17 May 2020  #1542

Maybe not that odd - they might be afraid of retaliation, especially given how tribal things are in the Balkans.

Torq
17 May 2020  #1543

Soldiers? Afraid of retaliation of some immigrants? You're having a laugh, Delph. Police should deal with such cases not the army... unless they had information about possible wapons/terrorist present in the camp (but even then special police units would be more appropriate).

Crow
17 May 2020  #1544

Forst, it's still the Corona era (and migrants arent source only of Corona disease, some have AIDS, etc). Second, I presume these soldiers are professionals recruited from within the local populace, they live in the city od Sid and surrounding area- so they might encounter those same migrants out on the streets when not at work and when unarmed.

Torq

Forst, it's still the Corona era

Right. I completely forgot.

recruited from within the local populace (...) might encounter those same migrants out on the streets when not at work and when unarmed

Well, it's understandable then if the soldiers are locals - Sid is a rather small town.

The immigrants don't seem to be wearing any masks - apparently they are not afraid of coronavirus.

Also, the lands of Kashubia.

The first appearance of the word "Cashubia" ever can be found on a mediaeval map of Western Pomierania, the tribe was located south-west of Szczecin. Then they disappear from Western Pomerania and emerge in Eastern Pomerania. So far, no one has explained satisfactorily their presence near Szczecin given the fact that they are later found somewhere else.

Crow, your fabulous theories of the link between Cashubians and Serbs are based on pure speculations as you haven't presented any scientific proof for such a speculation. What links them together is the Slavic language of both goups, but you can say the same of the Serbs and the Polish or the Serbs and the Moravians, for example.

@Ziemowit

Here you can hear interesting things about Kashubs, things spoken by Balkan Serbs and Kashubs themselves. It was on Serbian national TV >>> Kvadratura kruga: Kašubi - poljski hazari > video > youtube.com/watch?v=h8QCGg9MYRE

A fascinating video where speak Kashubian intellectual elite with Serbian TV man and one Kashub who is a child of merriage between Kashub father and Balkan Serbian mother. Good work by Serbian TV. And when talk Serbian TV man and Kashubs, one clearly notes that they have an agreement that always underlines Kashubian loyalty to Poland, even when Kashubs heavily criticize Poland.

Here is something for you >

Wendish "Kashubs" in Pommerania
by John Noack
>>> wendishheritage.org.au/articles/wendish-kashubs-in-pommerania/

Polabian Wends and the still surviving Lusatian-Sorbian and Kashubian Wends, as well as the Poles.

NOTE > Scientifically is an international notorious fact that WEND / VENET represents the same as SERB (Germanic/Latin naming of Serbs). It goes for Lusatians, Kashubs, Pomeranians, Balkan Serbs. For all Slavs then.

You have in this thread here about that > Was name `Szczerbin` first and original Polish ethnic name, local version of Sarmatian name ? >>> https://polishforums.com/genealogy/name-szczerbin-first-original-ethnic-83198/

Thread is my gift to this forum. It`s more like a book thread. A book about the untold and forbidden history of Europe. The truth that is a public secret but that is so obvious that more and more, in era of internet, becoming clear to all, global scientific fact.
