this opinion has reminded me of

This one reminded me of the Opposition Party in America.
Trump is like their Dr. who tells them that they have to lose 40kg and quit smoking.
They get offended, they are angry at him, and come up with all kinds of reasons why he is crazy and then they finally realize that he's the only one telling them the truth.

And that is why Trump will win the election in 2020.

We need him in the White House even if from day one of his second term he does nothing but plays solitaire 24/7 and keeps the socialistic morons out and away.

Luckily, you are based in the US

Says who? I would've thought you were aware by now i don't work in the summers and just kick it, travel, do whatever....

Trump is like their Dr. who tells them that they have to lose 40kg and quit smoking.

Except instead he just shills for Israel, annihilates tax refunds, and aside from his 1st year the economy isn't all that special... At best he's mediocre, but still way better than Hillary that's for sure...

Except instead he just shills for Israel, annihilates tax refunds,

...and constantly violates the first rule a US president should follow: STFU until you decide to act. Then tell us all about it. This idiot thinks out loud and just now did a perfect Obama act: excused the Iranian mullahs only to be told by said mullahs that it was in fact them who ordered the shoot down.

He didn't even wait for the evidence to be placed on his desk. A teenage girl would do better....F***king embarrassing...

By not killing 150 scumbags somewhere he actually kept them from the 150 times 72 virgins...Not nice, Mr. President.

No **** a drone is going to get shot down if it violates a country's airspace - even if its close as a spy drone or plane its gonna get downed. Trump knows the rules, thats why he backed down. Iran would cause another oil crisis like in the 70s in an instant if they wanted to.

The Shia are generally more worldly and theyre not causing all the problems that Sunnis do. In Lebanon the Christians love Hezbollah.

We here suffer from the asymmetry derangement syndrome. What damn business do we have flying Predators over there other than to provoke? How many countries - excluding Russia flying over the US with our agreement - are flying spy or other military planes 13 miles from the US shores? We would **** a brick if China or Russia had their war ships permanently in the Gulf of Mexico the way we do in the Baltic Sea.

The Cuban crisis was of our own making but most Americans want to cling to the idea that we were the good guys back then. The US rockets in Turkey at the Soviets' doorstep? What rockets? What Turkey?

You are right Rich, we should just let the #1 terrorist country in the world develop ICBM's that could reach the USA and also enrich uranium to nuclear grade to put on those ICMB's.

Also the USA has already made a commitment to keep international waters free to navigation.
Besides that we have no right to be there.

Give me one example how and when Iran terrorized the United States. So far, we and the EU are doing our very best to let the terrorists in because otherwise we would be seen as "racyyyysts" and rather be dead than right. The non-Iranian 9/11 being a reminder how the Western stupidity can be deadly.

country in the world develop ICBM's that could reach the USA

You mean like the Chinese ICBM's - which we helped build - can reach only Taiwan? Those ICBM's? I would swear theirs can reach any place in the US but I could be wrong. Yet, we ship our money to them by the shiploads so they can make them even better. Funny. I mean our selective outrage.

BTW, how did we manage to survive the decades of the Soviet and the Chinese ICBM's before the Predators?

Mere Iran existence cause severe PITA in Israel (because mere Israel existence in their present borders makes Iranian mullahs feel ill). Israel is a de-facto "controlling shareholder" of "shadow government corporation". So, there is no chances to good relations between Iran and Undetermined States...

Rich Mazur

....which has nothing to do with the security of Americans in "America".
Americans in "America" would be well advised to mind their own borders, specifically, and their own f***king business, in general. Which for the people with the messiah complex is as hard as for an alcoholic with an unlimited supply of booze not to drink.

I wonder if there is a 12-step program for that mental disorder other than a nuke smuggled from Mexico and detonated preferably in the DC for the best impact.

Give me one example how and when Iran terrorized the United States.

Just one example ? o.k.
Iranian backed Iraqi Shia militias of terrorism against US troops.
The government of Iran has been accused by several countries, including the United States, of funding, providing equipment, weapons, training and giving sanctuary to terrorists and providing weapons and safe havens for non state militants.

I do agree with you however Rich.
Those people have been at war forever so let them keep killing each other until they become a threat to the U.S.
Then turn them into glass.

their own f***king business, in general

It sounds good for independent country. But read the article below - can such thing appear in really independent country?

Give me one example how and when Iran terrorized the United States.

"United States" means the country, not the US army or the American civilians who should never be there.
We are the only ones practicing that insane circular logic of sending the US troops to "protect the US troops". In the meantime, the border is not only open wide, but "guarded" - what a joke - by the National Guard that is there to actually assist the invading armies of the worst scum from all over the world to enter and, after a brief stay, be released to do whatever the f*** they wish - terrorism included.

Children, please, say thank you to the swamp, the Democrats, and that moron, Eddy Kennedy who made this insanity possible.

So true.
No reason to go into another futile war.
Sure, if Iran steps things up, things may change.
But right now, there is no reason to risk American, or European lives.

You seem to be suggesting that Israel has an inordinate control over the US. So it is duly acknowledged. The question that begs to be answered is whose fault it is. I wrote "fault" as this relationship is unnatural to be point of being sick like a obnoxious child intimidating and controlling weak parents.

To me, it's just another manifestation of the same American problem - feeling special, altruistic and responsible for whole bloody world. I get literally sick when I hear this all-American one liner: who, if not us.

As they say, if you are the only one at it, chances are that you are the village idiot, not the village genius.

Velund

So, you should understand that US troops will be in the Middle East region as long, as Israel state exist and expanding. And US taxpayers will pay for this, in addition to funds that directly transferred to Israel.

Rich Mazur
21 Jun 2019  #919

I understand it very well. My post is meant to show how damn pissed I am about this and every bloody war the US volunteered to get into.

As I posted before, the USSR had to fight to exist. The US volunteered to show that it's nice. Even the war with Japan was purely voluntary.

Velund
22 Jun 2019  #920

I doubt that vast majority of US people is volunteered to be "donors" of Israel state, and US troops that stationed in Middle East region is volunteers.

Also, I doubt that any US politician that will say anything against unlimited support of Israel have any career perspectives in a current system.

Rich Mazur
22 Jun 2019  #921

I doubt that vast majority of US people is volunteered to be "donors" of Israel state,

That argument would have legs in a dictatorship like China or North Korea. In a "democracy", everything the government does the voters own, debt included.

and US troops that stationed in Middle East region is volunteers.

They are volunteers. That is why anyone who is planning to enlist should start with a visit to a shrink to have his head examined since the US army is not to protect the US. They volunteer for the money and "to be the best they can be" - whatever that crap line means - and to protect the "US interests" - a totally different animal having nothing to do with the Americans in "America".

Velund
22 Jun 2019  #922

In a "democracy", everything the government does the voters own, debt included.

"Democracy" (in quotes) should mean current US system with separated rights to vote and to choose, and with unequal "value" of votes between states?

mafketis
22 Jun 2019  #923

Yes, it's a system that works well in the context of the US, one problem is that the federal government (originally planned as a small and puny thing) has grown too much. The original idea was that states were the most crucial level of government so that states and not individual citizens chose the president.

Similarly senators were originally meant to represent their states rather than citizens per se....

And whatever else you say it beats the Russian system of big man oligarchy in terms of providing a decent standard of living... how many Americans want to live in Russia versus how many Russians want to live in America.... the proof is in the desired destination...

Velund
22 Jun 2019  #924

Concerning the federal government - I can see that it is not represent US citizens anymore. US citizens is used to 'legitimize' existence of feds and to get bills for everything they do. Interests of J Street/AIPAC, FRS, Major corporations is what matters for federal government, citizens is on a second plane.

Warmongers feel yourself very comfortable in Wash., DC...

youtube.com/watch?v=drbVn3_EAns

Now about living standard. Let's imagine that China will nuke major industrial centers of United States tomorrow (rough equivalent of WW I that Russia had on their own territory), and sometime in 2050 Russia will repeat this, on even greater scale (equivalent of WW II in that Rusia had to fight on their own territory). At the same time, Mexico and Canada will turn to hostile countries, forcing to spend a lot to border guards and military units controlling border area. Sanctions/embargoes of all kinds will be added to spice the dish. And let's see what will be living standard of United States in 2125...

And I wish to mention, that "silver age" of United States was bought with a borrowed funds. US is not even started to repay what they got from whole world by emitting dollars that is not backed by anything more valuable than "banker promises".

johnny reb
22 Jun 2019  #925

Question for you Rich.......
How do you walk 3,000 miles across Mexico without food or support and show up at our border 100 pounds overweight, wearing clean cloths and with a cellphone ?

And no, it is not a trick question.

Rich Mazur
22 Jun 2019  #926

And I wish to mention, that "silver age" of United States was bought with a borrowed funds.

Hey, Velund, you are a genius and I mean it. You just stole that line from me. That's exactly what I was going to say: American prosperity is a balloon filled with helium except nobody with two functioning brain cells is laughing since, in a sane world, debt is supposed to be repaid. In this insane asylum aka "America" nobody has a f***king clue how to even start - from the student loans all the way to the national debt; huuuge and growing huuuger.

I have zero doubt that somewhere in the DC they are scratching their heads how to put their paws on my IRA money.

Velund

scratching their heads how to put their paws on my IRA money

I think they will find a way to declare some sort of emergency if China will attack USD on a dip of Kitchin cycle (sometime after dec'2019). The worst answer may be found in artificial hyperinflation of USD. Nobody will refuse to repay debts, they will be just repaid in a nice pieces of a cut green paper.

Needless to say, that not all pension savings will survive such "process".

johnny reb

Like Crazy Bernie on his campaign trail going into a bar yelling, "FREE DRINKS FOR EVERYBODY !" and then he starts looking around and says, "Who's going to pay ?"

Bernie's over the top anyhow!

If only McCain were still alive, a little younger and running.
Only reason I voted for Obama was because of Sarah Palin:-)

That's how American political engineering works. Plebs is offered to choose between hemorroids and plague.
