USA News and Poland - Part 2

Rich Mazur

He learned to speak both languages proficiently.

That sarcasm just filled my toilet...
I am just trying to be nice and supply him with more the's. He must have used up his supply on Trump.

In all fairness, he is entitled to it after reading our Obongo's.

Fair or not, my problem is that he is never specific about what Trump did to hurt the lower 80. I could rattle off a good size thesis how Obongo managed to fu*ck up the US and its middle class. That's the difference between you and me and Mr The Lyzko.

He learned to speak both languages proficiently

I thought Lyzko was German born........ so he would speak German anyway.... or am I wrong?

Rich Mazur
4 Mar 2020  #3543

Milo, get with the flow....It's the Lyzko from now on.

Miloslaw
4 Mar 2020  #3544

Sorry mate. Don't get you.

Rich Mazur
4 Mar 2020  #3545

I am not surprised. The Lyzko refers to Trump as the Donald - clearly a put down, if not an insult. From now on, he is the Lyzko to me.

Lyzko
4 Mar 2020  #3546

You're not supposed to, Milo! He's making a joke.
Yes, gang. I grew up in a German-speaking home.

johnny reb
4 Mar 2020  #3547

So what's your meaningless point the Lyzko ?

Lyzko
5 Mar 2020  #3548

Just a point of (useful) information, that's all. Figure we all should know whom we're dealing with, don't you?

johnny reb
5 Mar 2020  #3549

Yes, the Lyzko !
The same guy that thinks the New Deal ended the Great Depression.
The truth of the matter is it actually made the economic situation worse.
The series of economic packages implemented between in the 1930s hampered economic growth and prolonged the Great Depression.
Roosevelt imposed excise taxes, harmful regulations on businesses, increased the top tax rate to 79%, doubled government spending between 1932 and 1940, and artificially raised wages and prices.

Das ist nun die Wahrheit.

you folks no longer are able to distinguish good from bad, right from wrong.

You were caught creating fictitious stories last week about Trump. Now, youre going to lecture us about right and wrong? Oh, the Irony!

Roosevelt imposed excise taxes

FDR pales in comparison to Reagan
The New Deal made matters worse and took years to recover.

In terms of long term debt, many do claim that the New Deal was an expensive waste of tax payer money.
On the other hand, what sort of person allows millions to starve to death without taking some preventative action.

In the case of the SS Missouri, Roosevelt's hands were tied on that one. Can't really blame him much in hindsight.

johnny reb
5 Mar 2020  #3552

What preventative actions ?
After eight years of F.D.R. in office the unemployment rate actually went up.
The New Deal created many public works projects no doubt.
Contrary to what most of us were taught, public works projects do not boost the economy.
It is the classic case of the seen versus the unseen we can all visibly see the jobs created by New Deal spending, but it is more difficult to see the jobs destroyed by the high taxes needed to pay for the New Deal programs.

Of course, taking money away from entrepreneurs in the private sector will only hurt economic growth.
F.D.R. wasn't fit to hold the door open for Reagan.
Reagan actually knew how the trickle down effect worked.

The Lyzko is an enigma. just one week ago he boldly proclaimed, as eight years old The Lyzko was terrifying Mine countryside with his deadly twenty two caliber rifle

Who knows, probably imaginary camp, just like imaginary riffle For. all I know his birth in Germany could have been imaginary, what we are experiencing is three-dimensional projection. So many questions, not enough time

johnny reb
5 Mar 2020  #3554

You forgot about his imaginary vacation that he said he was going on last December to Germany that never developed too.

Hey Rich, I thought you may enjoy this.

Figure we all should know whom we're dealing with,

The Lyzko, we already know that you - I am so sorry - I mean your posts avoid, deflect, and annoy. Please, do not add to that list being a forever perfect and perfectly annoying teacher of good grammar and don't virtue us with that "whom".

The thing is that normal people always say "who". When asked how they feel, they say, "good", not "well". Try it and you will feel so much better - like the rest of us, Americans in the lower 80.

Given the choice, I would pick evil over stupid. The leftist scum is both. What is not clear is if the relationship between these two traits is correlation or causation.

From nationalreview.com:
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Wednesday warned Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh that they will "pay the price" if they take a position he disagrees with in deciding a case that addresses the credentials required for doctors who perform abortions.

Good job to pis*s off the black robes, Chuck...

Joker

He could be impeached from the Senate for making threats like that. If it were a Rep who said it, every Dem clown and the msm would be demanding just that. Such a double standard! This should not be Ignored. Shumer has to be the biggest hypocrite in Congress as well.

You forgot about his imaginary vacation that he said he was going on last December to Germany

He told me he was taking his wife to Germany last December as well, but he was on PF everyday instead.

The investigation into Hunter Biden is beginning, just in time for Daddys election:)

johnny reb
5 Mar 2020  #3557

Trump is an absolute genius in his timing of all of this.
Biden has been recorded in telling Ukraine to fire their lead prosecutor (who was investigating Biden) in 24 hours or they wouldn't get U.S. aid money.

The same exact thing that they accused Trump of doing however Trump was found NOT GUILTY of yet another hoax.
Biden is toast and so is his son.
They are having one hell of a time hiding Biden's senility on top of all of this too.

Rich Mazur
5 Mar 2020  #3558

Biden is toast and so is his son.

Too late for that...

My predictions, as scary as they are, are still on track: 1. Joe wins the fascist nomination. 2. Joe picks Hillary for his veepee. 3. Joe wins in November. 4. Joe quits for health reasons. 5. Hillary is president.

Dear Lord, make that nightmare just a bad dream.

Joker
5 Mar 2020  #3559

Thats a doomsday scenario for sure, worse than the commie Sanders winning.

Dont be so gloomy. Biden is a total bumbling idiot and Trump will wipe the debate stage with him.

I should get focused on a plan "B" just in case either of these 2 nitwits win, it will be chaos here.

johnny reb
5 Mar 2020  #3560

I think Trump is laying the ground work to avoid that nightmare, Rich.
Trump is not done with her either as her feet are FINALLY being held to the fire for accountability.

A federal judge on Monday ordered former Secretary of State Crooked Hillary Clinton to deliver a sworn deposition in response to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch over her role in the obama administration's response to the 2012 terror attack on the U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya. She may be going to prison yet.

breitbart.com/politics/2020/03/02/judge-orders-hillary-clinton-to-be-deposed-for-judicial-watch-lawsuit/

U.S. District Court Royce Lamberth wrote in court filings that Clinton's written answers to questions regarding the matter in a separate case were "incomplete" and "unhelpful" and demanded more information. "As extensive as the existing record is, it does not sufficiently explain Secretary Clinton's state of mind when she decided it would be an acceptable practice to set up and use a private server to conduct State Department business," wrote Lamberth. "Simply put, her responses left many more questions than answers."

All of this finally coming out is starting to make Trump look like a boy scout.

I should get focused on a plan "B"

My Plan B has more to do with the CD rates. The problem is that I don't have Plan B.

Lyzko
5 Mar 2020  #3562

As with Pelosi's ripping up Trump's speech, Schumer did act precipitously. Yet, the times in which we live often necessitate that sort of unscripted disobedience, if only to dramatize how dire the direst times in our country really are.

I applaud both Pelosi's and Schumer's guts even if I don't approve of their methods!

Rich Mazur
5 Mar 2020  #3563

I would applaud you too, the Lyzko, if you could learn to better comprehend English.

johnny reb
5 Mar 2020  #3564

Now, Rich, we all know that the Lyzko is a linguistic professor at a university.
(or so he claimed one time here)

My Plan B has more to do with the CD rates.

Nobody ever listens to me.
Just 13 days ago I told you to buy gold when it was at $1640.
polishforums.com/off-topic/poland-usa-news-part-85058/113/#msg1726130
This morning it has hit $1660 but has just taken a slight dip even as it is on a steady increase for the day.
kitco.com/charts/livegold.html
Banks aren't paying that kind of interest on C.D.'s which are nothing more than black ink on white paper.
With my gold American Eagles I have them in my hand and can touch it.
Even Poland was the third largest purchaser of gold last year if I remember right.
They sure are swimming in the honey now from those purchases.
As The Reb as been preaching here, things just haven't been looking good for the future of the worlds economy.

Rich Mazur

My 3% CD's disagree. The problem with those is that, after almost 10 years of that bliss, their days are numbered.

Just 13 days ago I told you to buy gold when it was at $1640.

Gold is my favorite investment mainly coins, jewelry and bullion. Not that ETF b.s., although now they're doing well. I love gold because it's something I can actually touch, wear, give/receive as a gift, put it in my safe or pocket and get cash for it, etc. I keep an ad on craiglist running all the time and have been able to buy gold real cheap. Just a few weeks ago I bought a 23 gm 14k chain for $150. The guy was clearly a shrewd negotiator...

With my gold American Eagles I have them in my hand and can touch it.

What kind do you own? 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/10? Mix?

My 3% CD's disagree.

After inflation you're basically breaking even...

I would applaud you too, the Lyzko, if you could learn to better comprehend English.

The Lyzko's goal is the opposite of what you are suggesting. His style should be called ESOTERIC, language designed to confuse, perplex a reader of average comprehension

So instead of listening to your suggestion, he is contend sowing confusion. No American borne, not on this board, speaks like the Lyzko.
Even though you are right and could tech the Lyzko a thing or two his arrogance would not allow him to accept an idea from Polish borne immigrant

Do you think The Lyzko may listen to a suggestion from AntV and his beautiful refined, but bright and one hundred% comprehensible American English?
By the way, who is AntV?

johnny reb
5 Mar 2020  #3568

I bought a 23 gm 14k chain for $150.

The gold value of that chain is almost $2500 Dirk.

My 3% CD's disagree.

Cost of living inflation is 3.5% so in essence you are losing money on them.

By the way, who is AntV?

One hell of a nice guy from Ohio.
I put him through the acid test when he first showed up here and he actually laughed at my sarcasm.
I knew right then and there that he was a good egg.
He is one of us Ptak.

Rich Mazur
5 Mar 2020  #3569

Cost of living inflation is 3.5% so in essence you are losing money on them.

I am losing a lot more than just the money. I am running out of time and no amount of gold can replace that. That 3% my CD's earn now is a loser for sure, but the alternatives could give me ulcers. Thanks, no.

There are "experts" who predict 40% market drop. I have no desire to ruin my remaining years worrying about that.
Today, my biggest problem is that I don't like the stock rims on my Lexus, so I am shopping. My second problem is where to go on my next trip.

Lyzko

Falsifying statements or misrepresentation won't do you much good.
