Theses weapons should only be authorized for military and law enforcement personnel. You don't need an AR-15 to go Deer hunting and its not even practical to begin with. Hunters have plenty of different types of rifles and shotguns they can choose from.


A handgun or a 12 gauge shotgun is all your really need for home protection, anything else and you should really question where youre living at..lol


Interesting proposition. I would think the Reps might go for that deal. Most states already have some kind of carry conceal law and participants have completed classes and training before they hand over the gun permit.

I think better background checks are needed for criminal activity and mental disorders should be screened for as well.

First, assault rifles are illegal because "assault" means military grade with full auto. The civilian meaning of assault rifle is pure nonsense because in my hands anything can be an assault something. Even a pillow.

Second, hand guns are easier to hide and carry into a store than AR-15's. What do the gang bangers use? AR-15 or hand guns? God knows they have enough money to afford them. Just imagine how hard it would be for the sickos if all we had were the so-called "assault" rifles and no hand guns.

AR-15 should be standard weapon for the police for their intimidation factor and accuracy. Did you know that cops are lousy shots compared to the average NRA member?

What you are against is most likely the high capacity magazines. My Beretta holds 15+1. If that's the case, I am with you. In fact, I have only 12 in it and see this as enough to greet my 2 am uninvited guests.

Finally, I( want to hear from the gun haters what, SPECIFICALLY, the would like to do that is (1) constitutional, (2) not in the tradition of Hitler, Stalin or Mao.
