It's almost like these mass shootings are being used for political purposes while the inner cities like Chicago every day mass shootings with "illegal guns" are being ignored.

Remember, handguns are outlawed in Chicago which proves the point that more laws or stricter back ground checks are not the answer Milo.

Now the question is, since there will ALWAYS be illegal guns out there no matter what......why shouldn't an upstanding citizen have the right to own a legal gun (as our beautiful Constitution allows us) of his/her choice to protect their family with against people with an illegal gun ?

What are you talking about? I never mentioned an AR-15, Rich did. The reports I have read stated that the El Paso shooter used an AK-47 semi-automatic style rifle, which as I'm sure you know, IS an assault weapon.


Clearly that hasn't had much of an impact on the number of gun homicides. Same argument as with the death penalty. If it was an effective deterrent, no-one would be living on death row.

In 1994 the Federal Assault Weapons Ban came into effect. Written into that legislation was an expiration date of 10 years. In 2004 the ban was over. Obama tried to get the ban renewed after Sandy Hook but failed. The Senate voted not to renew. Individual states of course have their own gun-control laws, but you are not correct in saying that the US has banned assault weapons, it hasn't.

It has not. The Federal Assault Weapons ban was over in 2004. Individual states, as I said, have their own gun control laws, currently, 7 states and the District of Columbia have a continuing ban on assault weapons, but the rest of the US has not.

In and of themselves, guns can be an absolute necessity, e.g hunting, exploring, travel in extreme or hostile areas in which animal life can prove a threat to one's own life. Other than that, guns have NO place in a civilized, developed society.

I am curious what would now Duda when see that USA and Trump openly supports idea that minimum 50% of Kosovo goes to Serbia.
