The update on American news from Polish media. I hope I will provide it regularly here.

I think the best source is TVN, a TV station owned by an American company. I like it cause, compared to PiS controlled state media, it is fully independent and quite objective. Simply speaking, they are not afraid of PiS and do their job. Without them, PiS would have a tragic monopoly on information with their lying propaganda.

The recent news is how Trump lashes in his tweets at 4 liberal female Congress members, the so called Squad, suggesting they should go back to their own countries. But only one of them comes from Somalia! That is a bit unfair of Trump. He also imputes they don`t love the USA and should apologise for their hateful words. Earlier, they had vehemently critisized Trump for organising that roundup of illegals all over the USA.

The House of Representatives, including 4 Republicans, condemned Trump`s tweets as racist.

On second thoughts - I am looking at this photo above and the lady in that African turban looks relatively young. It is quite surprising that Congress has such young members. I imagined they should be grey-haired, distinguished gentlemen and mature gentlewomen. Her name is Ilhan Omar and she is the one from Somalia, born in 1982, elected when she was 34.

Her election made a few firsts in American politics:

the first Somali-American, the first naturalized citizen from Africa, the first non-white woman elected from Minnesota, and one of the first two Muslim women to serve in Congress.

It all illustrates what important changes are taking place in the States. Is it really a result of immigration as Rich claims or the development of democratic society`s traditional conservative attitudes?

Well, not development as I said, but evolution. And it isn`t a result of immigration as Rich claims. The liberal black female senator was elected in Minnesota. Minnesota is mostly a white state but they vote for a coloured Muslim person to Congress? Very unusual.

It means a large part of the American white society is liberal and immigrants have nothing to do with it.

Trump administration is going to introduce blitz deportation system. So far illegal immigrants could be deported only after a court ruling if they have stayed in the US more than 14 days. Now, the court won`t be necessary and deportations will take place instantly..
