USA News and Poland - Part 2

I was wondering...Few months ago Poles were urged to apply for visas to USA if they know they should get accepted even if they don't need them as soon there will be cut off date for Visa waiver program and we are close the mark. Anyone knows what happened with that or how long we have left?

Strange how it's a non-issue for our Americans here, isn't it?

Anyway, as far as I understand it, the topic is dead again. Trump, quite simply, lied.

Isn't it hilarious over the years here on the forum how all the Poles have always claimed that they have no desire to come to the U.S.A. but as soon as Visa's are available they stampede to apply for them. lol

The USA (not even mention here Israel) give billions of dollars to damn Pakistan or some other random countries. What about closest ally in Europe - Poland. So far monies are going from Poland to the US - billions of dollars again. Something not right here ....

To my understanding Trump's visa scheme with Poland never took off. Just another of many unfulfilled promises... But atleast the market is great!

Idk I'll be at the consulate later this week to renew PL passport so Ill ask then what the deal is.

Whenever ive come back from Poland the plane has always been full. And a big chunk I'd say close to half go to the line for non us citizens/residents upon disembarking. But tue amount of poles that come to the USA for work has dwindled and it's been that way for over 10 years now. The country has lost its appeal to poles to work, but it is an increasingly popular tourist destination. Lot of poles come to visit their families here and a lot come to see places like new York, California, Florida, etc. For the average pole though the USA is too expensive of a vacation and not worth it. Theyd rather see Europe or even places like turkey, Egypt, Thailand as they're a lot cheaper.

At no point was I talking about myself but about Poles in general. The cut off date I was talking about is that US goverment judges country eligibility for visa waiver program every year ( I belive September to September) and I was asking if anyone knows if it's already the time (I'm not sure when it is exactly) and if Poland made it.

I personally never applied for visa. But again, keep trying, maybe next time you will have more luck.
