I'd like to think that I'd never go to the unnecessarily extreme lengths of Michael Douglas, Joker.
Normal people wouldn't. The whole point of the movie was that when a mentally unstable person is driven even more over the edge than he already is, this is when stuff happens such as the now (in-)famous scene in the Whammyburger.

Well-adjusted folks don't take matters into their own hands over such petty silliness, people.
