If I tried to put in one word all the kinds of nonsense that "liberal" politicians are engaged in instead of protecting the interests of the American people (I mean the people and not the pseudo-elite sect with billions in bank accounts), then the word would be too bulky even for the German language . ;)

I don't normally post on American political threads, because, to be quite honest, I don't know enough about American politics.
But, though I can see that The American Democratic party has swung more to the left, are they really Socialists?
I mean like we have in The UK?
