To my understanding it was a hunting trip. I get it though, no one wants to be late. When I'm late for some appointment, work, or whatever I tend to speed too, but then I quickly realize that it's not going to save me any significant amount of time while the risk of a ticket at best case, death in the worst case, just isn't worth it.

This is arguably why that plane with the Polish president, his whole family, and a bunch of other officials got killed.

I can just imagine the exchange:

Eh idk about that. Ive flown in a few small prop planes and its fun as hell. In the future ill get a pilots license, the hobbyist one not commercial. Its like with everything you gotta be smart about it. This accident was just poor judgement. When you fly a single engine prop plane in a storm its like a cork floating in a wave pool and you cant see on top of that and youre flying around mountain.

Driving cars is different. If your cars craps out, you just pull over. No so with a plane. They often land in somebody's bedroom and burst into flames. Not cool.
