I can vouch for that. Most of England and Ireland is very nice from what I seen. I wouldn't want to live in Manchester UK, but you wouldn't want to live in Cleveland either.

There are many parts of the UK that never used to lock their house doors at night, not sure too many of those remain.
But on TV we see American city front doors with triple locks and peepholes and are horrified.....

Again, that is in the cities and that is why I wouldn't consider living in one because it isn't living.
Here where I live the neighborhood dogs that are left out at night are my early warning system.

I am in what we call Greater London, we have red buses and the tube but it is a world away from the inner city.

My daughter lives in a small town, well outside of London but still linked to London by the tube and when we go to stay with her we never hear any sirens....
