Impeachments are not about "raw truth" or cooked truth. They are about crimes. To be impeached and removed, Trump would have to commit a crime as specified by the US Code.

If you know what crimes Trump committed - name them citing the US Code. Just the raw numbers - title and section. No essays.

The Reps, including Mitch McConnel, are merrily contending that Trump has committed no impeachable crimes.
According to the Constitution, any attempt by a sitting or former US- Head of States to interfere with the running or national policy of any foreign government is a punishable offense.

But of course, the question as to how the big fish often go free while the little ones usually get caught, always revolves around good ol' fashioned bribery!

Constitution is not a penal code. The US Code is the only penal code that matters. Whatever is in the US Code must be constitutional and maybe derived from the Constitution, but it is the sole basis to be used to punish. If it ain't there, that turkey ain't gonna fly.

If I need a sermon, I will go to church. Impeachments are not done on the basis of a smell test. We are not discussing growing potatoes, either.

Impeachments involve CRIMES. If violating public trust were a crime, then what's in the heads of the public would become the basis for indictments and convictions. This is not how the civilized societies work. That would be mob justice with the throngs being the jury. That is why we have what is known as the penal code - a book where each crime listed, has a number and a penalty. If it is not there, it's not a crime.

DoJ at the president's request can investigate anyone they want. If running for president offered immunity from such investigations, every fu*cking crook would immediately declare to be a candidate and the investigation would have to stop.
