American police have shot suicidal people without a weapon in their hand because they refuse to respond to their orders, despite not walking towards them. Viewing every citizen as a potential cop killer and being shown countless videos in the academy showing how quickly police are shot and killing (sub 1-2 seconds) creates a police force which is constantly on extreme edge and doesn't know who they can trust. It takes a very specific type of person to make it decades as a police officer in the United States and it usually tends to not be someone who displays a lot of self control or empathy unfortunately. I've had great interactions with small town police officers but big city cops are basically on the same level of gangsters and mafia. I really got the point across while visiting New York and asking a friendly looking police man for directions as my phone died and being told that he "isn't a map", go figure.

My next question is......"How did 35,000 Haitian's get from Haiti to Mexico which is 1750 miles (3200 km) over water ?"
