They mentioned flags with fringes a few times, as well as describing birth certificates as berth certificates and pointing out that part of a courtroom is the dock.

Flags used to be mandatory in every school, and presidential pictures while not mandatory in US schools used to be seen in nearly all school administration offices and school board offices. And is singing the Polish anthem cultish? Or singing any anthem? Saluting a flag of your country is cultish too? It teaches children honor and respect. A lack of honor, respect, and family values is what is tearing society apart. There is a lot to be said about traditions for countries and families. I know my family traditions are some of what holds our family together even during trying times.

Singing an anthem, saluting the flag etc has it's obvious values but in certain situations, settings. Doing if during important state events, holidays sports etc is one thing. Making kids pledge allegiance at school etc- weird and cultish

I have to agree with Lenka on this, I consider myself patriotic. I love anthems, military marching musics, uniforms the whole schebange.

Singing on important dates in school is fine in my book.

But saluting every morning to your flag, say a «pledge» while telling visiting guests they don't need to feel obliged to do the same.

I does give out the wibe of a cult.

I would place Lenka on left side of politics, myself on centre-right/right-wing depending on context. (Lenka feel free to correct me if I am wrong)

Firstly, Nobody salutes the flag every morning in our schools here in America that I know of.
Secondly if you don't want to sing the National Anthem while others do, you don't have to.
It's not a requirement.

Tradition in the United States, is critically important for a country not even 250 years old yet. Saying a pledge, especially in schools funded by state and federal dollars, is a tradition. Not everyone is obligated to do it. It is a better tradition to carry on than having drag queen reading hours that parents get no right to object to and cannot pull their children out of. Parents can always chose to not have their kids in the "cult" if they want. That pledge though helps bring a sense of community and belonging to people, especially people who have family members in the military, and that is probably half of the US that has at least one family member serving. So is it too much to respect them and the fact if not for them the US wouldnt have a lot of what it has?

The womens national team for the US in football is the perfect example of karma having a way with disrespectful wokest thinking. The US national junior ice hockey team is the perfect example of how tradition can be something that brings and keeps people together.

Funny how when Poland keeps the border closed to illegal immigration, and proves that by doing so you keep the scum from damaging society, the EU criticizes Poland.
