What upsets me the most is the realization that we are effectively a dictatorship. The president should never have the power to act without Congress other than when responding to an attack on the US.

The fact that there is no legal mechanism to force him to close the border means that he has absolute power to destroy this country by allowing 30 million migrants a year.

This makes the US a dictatorship, a system we claim both China and Russia have.

Without proof, I don't think Putin or Xi would be allowed to inflict this kind of damage on their countries.

People make mistakes; nobody is perfect (though some are evidently more flawed than most). Personally I'm tolerant and care little about an individual's history, however bad it is.

Nevertheless, if someone starts getting gobby and starting sentences with "you know nothing", using silly phrases like "LMFAO" or trying to insult someone by using what they mistakenly see as a vulnerability, they should be very aware that unless they are perfect, they have put themselves into a position whereby they'll get back tenfold whatever they themselves started.

For instance, if something allegedly happened in 2004 someone going away for five years could not win an award in my business for the year of 2008. I have been all over the news for what I have done in Poland. One site did receive a letter from my attorneys though. See, the beauty about the law is that the truth is an absolute defense. Which is what the court saw in a reversal, and the same court found in two civil cases. You really dont know anything Jon. I was contacted today by someone who used to post here occasionally that I know on real life. Not a regular poster ever but an occasional one who had interesting things to say. He had a look for the first time in ages and was appalled, especially by the pro-russia stuff.

I don't live in Europe, so I will trust you when you say this is true.

Americans can be very annoying, and often the Americans we love are only first or second generation immigrants, but they do have a certain charm to themselves. I have to say this.

I'm the Russian Kania/Torq, when it comes to America (and also, obviously, when it comes to Poland). Few of my countrymen appreciate my great love for America, but there it is.

You're right. We can be brash, rude, and too direct. Most of us lack manners that would measure up to those in Poland or Europe in general. Those of us that live in Europe know and understand our faults. We also understand the world view of us, unless of course we live under a rock. But, if this is the world view, and I agree that outside of Asia it is, why does everyone keep calling on the US for help? Really I am just asking the question. I know I sure wouldnt call on Jon for help, so why does Europe call on the US? Why go to the US for work? Why ask for US companies to come to Europe?
