USA News and Poland - part 18

How though?.

I'm sure they'll find some way. As someone else commented, even if he is found guilty, Trump will probably just pardon him.

Justice and rule of law went out the window when Trump came to power.

In Poland, there is a different philosophy; it doesn't matter how bad erratic behavior is, the police are expected to use non-lethal force, and if they shoot and kill someone, there is a lot of song and dance about it.

As it should be! That is perfectly normal behaviour. Seems like if you blink the wrong way in the US, you could end up getting shot by trigger happy US cops. I find that scary and certainly puts me off from visiting family over there.

My documents are all in order, but I still sweat when driving past some ICE checkpoint in Florida.

I'm not surprised. I'm sure many others feel exactly the same way.

Many of the Americans on PF are rubbing their hands with glee over the deportation of migrants but I'm wondering how far this will go and where it will end.

Poles are right when debating guns.

Of course they are because they see the high rate of gun deaths and how fractured a country the US is and don't want that for their country. Who the hell would.

If not for my family, I would already be in Poland.

Turns out you're a bit of a fraud then.

Many of the Americans on PF

The ones here fortunately aren't typical, as trump's approval ratings as well as the outcry about the woman's murder show.

That's why the Feds have taken control denying state authorities access to evidence etc, a US president can only pardon federal crimes.

Republicans used to be big on state rights but looks like they are hypocrites.

Maybe... closing the borders for 15-20 years and figuring out what you all really want as a collective is actually important.

Bobko, you do bring up some logical and interesting points.

Then there's this unhinged liberal white woman, which is the real problem in modern politics. Even worse, she lives 6,000 miles away and still feels the need to meddle.

Justice and rule of law went out the window when Trump came to power.

Pardons didn't start with Trump, and the courts didn't shut down because you're unhappy. Calling the rule of law "dead" is just a way to dismiss any result you don't like.

Republicans used to be big on state rights but looks like they are hypocrites.

Immigration is federal jurisdiction. Enforcing federal law isn't a "states' rights" contradiction, it's how the Constitution works.

States' rights don't override federal law. That isn't hypocrisy, it's basic civics. Do seek professional help for your TDS issues.

Enforcing federal law isn't a "states' rights" contradiction

Opposing the feds in any form, passively or actively, should be a felony, regardless of whether one is a dumb lesbian with three kids or a fat pig pretending to be a governor.

Want to change things? Call your congressman.

As far as the stupid lesbian...The bit*ch saw a man in front of her and stepped on the gas anyway. That's attempted murder 101.

She had no basis to assume that he would be fast enough to get out of the way. Rot is hell, you leftist, migrant-loving POS...

Opposing the feds in any form, passively or actively, should be a felony,

Look at the big picture. Examine the times during the Trump's Covid scam area - it was like today's ICE running the country in a peaceful way. But what will happen when the US defaults on its debt - expect the ICE to turn against all Americans to keep them in check and stop a national revolt.

Novichok
10 Jan 2026  #338

stop a national revolt.

Yes. I would be the first one to shoot looters and arsonists. I would need a license, though...Ammo would be on me.

But what will happen when the US defaults on its debt

...and wonderful thing...Stupid foreigners would never again buy US bonds, and, thus, force the DC motherfvckers to have balanced budgets.

You don't feed an alcoholic with booze because he will feel bad if you don't ... Help him get well or let him die...

Immigration is federal jurisdiction

We are talking about the death of a US citizen which would normally be investigated by state authorities or the federal working with state authorities. Federal involvement in this case includes the exclusion of state authorities in order to arrive at a predetermined result because those at the very top of government announced the findings before the investigation started. That is an abuse of states rights.

Bobko does point out the essential schizophrenic nature of US society where everyone thinks they are following an individual path but spend an inordinate amount of time criticising anyone who steps outside the hive mind. This is apparent in many US shibboleths the prime example being freedom of speech or expression. These absolutists are all for freely expressing themselves including creating computer tools that allow vile nonconsensual exploitation of children, but god forbid someone has blue hair.

You dont see the Karens complaining today about border patrol shooting the 2 illegal scum gang members?????

Federal agents shoot 2 alleged Tren de Aragua gangbangers who 'weaponized' car in Oregon - day after deadly ICE shooting

Dem narrative challenged after DHS exposes identity of 'married couple' in CBP-related shooting
DHS said that both individuals injured in the shooting are suspected Tren de Aragua affiliates

The incident occurred at approximately 2:19 p.m. local time, when Border Patrol agents stopped a vehicle and identified themselves as law enforcement, DHS said.

"[Thursday], two suspected Tren de Aragua gang associates-let loose on American streets by Joe Biden-weaponized their vehicle against Border Patrol in Portland," DHS wrote, explaining that "the agent took immediate action to defend himself and others, shooting them."

DHS officials say Luis David Nico Moncada, left, and Yorlenys Betzabeth Zambrano-Contreras, are Venezuelan criminal illegal aliens and suspected members of the foreign terrorist organization Tren de Aragua. The duo were wounded after being shot by a Border Patrol agent Thursday, when they allegedly attempted to run the officer and others over with their vehicle. (Department of Homeland Security)

That bc the state authorities Frey and Walz already proclaimed the officer as guilty of murder... Totaly bias leftists beyond belief! Did you hear what the Mator and Governor have already said? They cant be trusted. Not to mention they are all under fraud investigations.

It's called "supremacy clause", stupid...All foreign policy matters belong to the feds. Immigration in any form is a foreign policy matter.

Said while sipping a warm cup of chamomile tea, listening to soft jazz during your midday aroma therapy. 😁

What is wrong with you MAGA people? Are you all psychopaths?

Firstly, it turns out that the ICE agent was no rookie, he has years of experience. He claimed he was a firearms instructor, an active shooter instructor, a field intelligence officer and member of the SWAT team.

Btw, the first thing I wondered after watching the video of the shooting for the first time was if he was previously in the army. Former soldiers often go into the law enforcement and such in the US.
That thought came to my mind because of how casually he shot her and then put the gun back and walked calmly like nothing happened. When he's filmed walking away from the scene he also looks completely unbothered.

Turns out he's an Iraq War veteran. Someone who goes to war may get used to shooting people like ducks, unfortunately.

It's one of the positives about Trump, he doesn't surrender to the dem narratives, he forcefully provides an alternative.

Did you just praise the fact that your president is a liar??? :D Wow...

and in the USA with the death penalty... with immediate execution. 🤔

This seems to be the mindset. I guess American lives are cheap in the US.

You're creating an immediate threat

The ICE agent drew his gun already when the woman was reversing. He could move away at any moment, but he CHOSE to stand there and to take out his gun and shoot.

And then when he was was already completely safe he shot her twice in the head through a side window. His father described him as a "conservative Christian". My guess is that he's MAGA and I think that one possibility is that he killed her on purpose out of hate. Another possibility is the "trigger-happy" mentality of American las enforcement.

That is your opinion.

No, this is the reality literally shown in the video and proven by the fact that there's only one bullet hole in the front window. He shot her in the head TWICE up close through the LEFT side window when he was already completely out of harm's way. Those are FACTS and not "an opinion."

The truth is that you're only defending this because of politics. If this happened in PRL times and a Solidarity activist was shot dead in the same circumstances by a commie police officer you'd be screaming bloody murder. The same with MAGA idiots and Trump supporters storming the Capitol.

Because that would stop a car that is a cm or two away from hitting you?

Shooting the driver won't stop the car either and it didn't in this case. Someone as experienced as that ICE agent and a war veteran at that would know that.

Where is your logic people? And men claim to be the "logical sex"... Jesus... 🤦

Governor Walz ("Tampon Tim") MN already has congressional subpoenas flying over massive fraud that happened on his watch. Whistleblowers have testified, investigations are ongoing, and the optics aren't exactly great.

So having him posture as some moral authority or lead investigator on ICE enforcement is beyond comical. It's like appointing the fire marshal while the building behind him is still smoldering.

And let's not forget, he conveniently bowed out of reelection right as the heat turned up. Funny timing. Nothing says "confidence in your record" like suddenly deciding you're done when subpoenas start stacking.

My guess is you are a Karen!

Neither the shooting nor the agent's personal beliefs or family statements - like calling him a Christian - prove intent to kill out of hate. That kind of leap from "he has personal beliefs" to "he deliberately murdered her for ideology" isn't an argument, it's speculation and total bullshit!

@Novichok

I'm surprised they haven't appointed her lead detective on the case yet, phoning in clues from Europe like Sherlock Holmes with Wi-Fi and TDS. Forget evidence, body cams, or jurisdiction. We've got vibes, assumptions, and a strong opinion from 5,000 miles away. ROFTL!!

tense

I think tension is built into the American DNA. It's been here since before the founding. It has produced a great deal of positive outcomes...when that tension is wrought in the exchange of ideas to solve a problem or develop something.

But, as you say, sometimes that tension devolves into anger and we get stuff like the civil war, assassination of presidents/political figures, etc.

Today's tension seems to be rooted in something foundational. My theory is the current tension is the progeny of the Marxist-anarchist uprising that began around 1919. The communist encroachment on America's founding principles led to stuff like Palmer Raids in '19 and '20, which drove the communist movement underground.

Then you see the communist infiltration of labor unions, executive branch agencies, media manifest itself post ww2 and we get McCarthyism.

Then, in 60's, you see old school communist thinking and tactics meld with Frankfurt School (many exiled to Am universities during war) critical theory in the student-led protests.

We win the Cold War and think we killed the commie beast. Stupid...because we have more young people in college than ever before who are being taught by the next generation of Frankfurt influenced prof those profs are now spread wide among college faculties and admins. They are driving a good amount of the curriculum-which doesn't merely dismiss western civ but categorizes it as inherently bad-evil-that needs to be disavowed and toppled.

Then, there's the sexual revolution result: morals and norms are no longer common, but relative to the subjective will of each individual.

And, we have had at least three generations who have grown up in relative affluence...which has produced a population not is short supply of entitled Comfortable brats.

In the midst of this century long development, you still have a significant population who rejects the above. Who see western civilization in total as ampositive force in human history, who think there are common morals and norms, who see market economies as beneficial to them, who believe in the founding principles of America.

These two sets (who, by the way, are compose of a bunch of subsets) are crashing into one another because they are concentrated on foundational issues. Foundational issues inflame the passions.

But, I could be wrong, it's just a working theory of mine.

prove intent to kill out of hate

Calm down, Joker, we're on an internet forum and it's just one of my guesses, not any "proof." But look at Novichok and Poloniusz and how they write about this woman and her death. It's pure glee. ICE agents, police officers, soldiers, firefighters, etc. have views too. And some of them may have personality disorders too. Some of them are rapists, child abusers, wife beaters, narcissists, sociopaths and... murderers. Andrew Tate's father, for example, was dismissed from the military because he was diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder. A Navy Seal operator sexually abused a small child (family at that) and filmed it with his phone. People in uniform aren't some kind of flawless saints that can do no wrong.

it's speculation

Of course it is. It's just my guess, NOT A FACT.
But shooting that woman in the head through a side window when there was no danger to the ICE agent anymore is a FACT.

Why are you so unable to acknowledge the fact that HE DIDN'T HAVE TO KILL HER?

You could argue, I guess, that he fired the first shot because he panicked, but you can't say that about the next two shots that killed her. He killed her with premeditation, not out of panic or in self-defence. That's my point that you haven't refuted in any way so far with any arguments.

Forget evidence, body cams, or jurisdiction.

I don't live in the US and I know that ICE agents don't wear body cams lol That's why he was filming with his phone.

And the evidence is there - in the video. The shots in the head through a SIDE window. Do you understand? Or are you all retarded? 🤦

think we killed the commie beast.

Like many Americans you have no idea what a communist is. People who have different views than you aren't "communist". 🤦

Was talking about the Soviet Union, babe. Seems pretty obvious from the Cold War context.

@AntV, I see you have a similar "difficult relationship with the truth" as your president. No, it isn't "pretty obvious" from the context, "babe."
Because right in the next sentence you wrote this:

Stupid...because we have more young people in college than ever before who are being taught by the next generation of Frankfurt influenced prof

So what your young people in college have to do with the Soviet Union, Cold War and communism, eh? 🙄

[qWhat is wrong with you MAGA people? Are you all psychopaths?

Yes, dear Paulina, according to you, we all are. So there's nothing more to discuss.

You also mentioned being an active shooter instructor, a field intelligence officer, and a member of the SWAT team.

Don't forget that a victim of a vehicular attack, who was previously wounded and spent time in the hospital requiring dozens of stitches, understandably didn't volunteer for repeated treatment.

You stated how casually he shot her and then put, "to shooting people like ducks, unfortunately."

And you believe you are of sound mind while deciding it was a casual shooting? There's no doubt about that?

Even more unfortunate is that there are people with reasoning abilities equivalent to a turnip. Thank goodness they don't multiply.

Paulina
10 Jan 2026  #353

Yes, dear Paulina, according to you, we all are.

You definitely are. And a pathological liar, just like your president.

understandably didn't volunteer for repeated treatment.

As I pointed out many times already the ICE agent shot her in the head TWICE through a SIDE WINDOW when he was already out of harm's way. SO HE DIDN'T KILL HER OUT OF PANIC OR IN SELF-DEFENCE.

How are you going to justify this? What are your arguments for killing her considering that he didn't have to do it???

AntV
10 Jan 2026  #354

@Paulina

If you go back and slowly read what I wrote...admittedly I don't always write well...you will see that your question really makes no sense. Because what I was saying is: that once we won the Cold War, that is to say the Soviet Union collapsed, we became complacent as a nation thinking we had rid the world of communism. However, communist ideology remained..especially in our universities.

Paulina
10 Jan 2026  #355

@AntV, and that's exactly why I wrote that like many Americans you have no idea what a communist is:

communist ideology remained..especially in our universities.

I've seen both on this forum and elsewhere right-wing Americans calling liberals and leftists "commies" and all kinds of policies "commie" just because something is for free/founded by the state, for example. That's simply ignorant.

But let us go back to the previous topic.

How are you going to justify the fact that the ICE agent shot that woman twice in the head through a side window when he was already out of the harm's way? He didn't have to kill her. So why did he do it?

AntV
10 Jan 2026  #356

@Paulina

I see we come to an impasse. Have a warm and safe weekend...and enjoy your chamomile tea and aroma therapy.

Przelotnyptak1
10 Jan 2026  #357

It is a fact that the side window was broken when there was no longer any danger to the ICE agent.

Brilliant summary; your famous gut feeling is on full display!

Why are you so unable to acknowledge the fact that he didn't have to kill her?

I agree, but he was faced with a split-second decision, and the unintended consequences were a result of that. Now it's your turn, Paulina.

Why are you unable to acknowledge the undeniable fact that she was in a place she did not belong, engaging in activities of a criminal nature?

Barney
10 Jan 2026  #358

[qWhat is wrong with you MAGA people? Are you all psychopaths?

No they just can't quote properly.

The communist encroachment on America's founding principles

Could you explain this encroachment? What Seems to have happened is that the ability to organise and advocate for better conditions such as a fair wage for a fair days work was attacked by the government. Free speech and a free press are supposed to be in the DNA of the US but when the powers that be don't like what they hear they ignore the supposed foundational principles and revert to oppression.

What we have with the death of this woman is the verdict of any enquiry has been decided which is at best odd. Sidelining local authorities is also peculiar.

communist ideology remained..especially in our universities.

That's just not true. You may have professors calling for fair pay etc but you definitely don't have any calling for the proletariat to seize the levers of power.

cms neuf

Paulina
10 Jan 2026  #360

I see we come to an impasse.

Does that mean that you have no argument to justify the ICE agent shooting that woman twice in the head through a side window when he was already out of harm's way?

Brilliant summary

It is a mistery to me why you would alter what I wrote in your quote in such a way.

but he was faced with a split-second decision

Only in case of the first shot which probably wasn't even fatal judging by the positioning of the bullet hole on the window.

AGAIN, I'm not talking about the FIRST SHOT.

I'm talking about TWO NEXT SHOTS that were fired through the SIDE window when the ICE agent was already SAFE.

Do you all pretend that you don't understand what I'm talking about or are you all stupid???

Why are you unable to acknowledge the undeniable fact that she was in a place she did not belong, engaging in activities of a criminal nature

By "a place" you mean a street in her neighbourhood? And what "activities of a criminal nature" were those exactly?
