USA News and Poland - part 18

Citizenship isn't a game. No one collects rights without responsibilities.

Poland and the US are both functioning legal systems. I know where the rights are set out. Where are these responsibilities and when did anyone sign up to them ?

I know about the things like paying taxes and cleaning the snow off my sidewalk but you seem to be describing something more abstract.

Poland and the US are both functioning legal systems.

Let's wait to see what punishment is handed out to the 'Polish' American, Anthony Kazmierczak, who attacked a Democrat congresswoman before we describe the US as a functioning legal system. Already Taco Don has claimed that, despite Kazmierczak having shared multiple photos of Taco Don on Facebook and commented on his support for Taco Don, Kazmierczak was working for the victim. What is it about 'Polish' Americans and being insane criminals?

I know about the things like paying taxes

Be fair, you can't expect our Ukrainian friend to know about paying taxes, he's never had a job!

trying to perform innocence rather than simply state it.

One of the requirements of having my job is getting a certificate from the National Criminal Register every three years, which conclusively demonstrates my lack of a criminal record. I next need one in April. Such a pity that such certificates aren't available to those who use the family telephone to make death threats after fraudulently using mommy's credit card to buy international minutes.

Citizenship isn't a game. No one collects rights without responsibilities. In every functioning legal system, they come as a package deal

Yes, but do you think most people understand that the other side of the equation could be: "You will be shot like a dog"?

I don't know why any person would take it upon himself to defend these things - and this is coming from a guy that comes here for the past 8 years to defend Russian artillery shelling of Ukrainian cities.

You do realize that in 99% of other countries, citizens may also enter confrontation with the government - but usually without the off chance of being shot like a rabid dog?

I know America is a great and stupendously wealthy country - but is the privilege of citizenship in this paradise, worth the risk that one day a small misunderstanding may lead to you becoming suddenly a permanent part of the past?

Speaking for humble Bobko, I would rather live under a coconut tree in Burkina Faso - than in Disneyland, but a Disneyland where I may get shot if I had a bit too much to drink, or got into a fight with my wife.

Maybe so-called madness is a side effect of Polish genius gen?

The cost of freedom is high; something extraordinary always comes at a significant price.

Frankly, I would love to see ICE open fire on every illegal. Just blast away. Evey leftard sanctuary city should be ruthlessly invaded and every illegal deported immediately. Anyone subscribing to anything less than immediate deportation of illegals should be charged with sedition.

Yep. Some people can't accept though that citizens, especially adults, have responsibilities and not just rights.

Exactly. Carrying is a privilege that comes with responsibilities. I had to complete a two-day class and range testing in Illinois to get my permit.

Always carry your CCP ID, and don't interfere with active law enforcement. That's basic responsibility and the law.

Check out this woke genius - Darwin would be proud. She blew her fingers off trying to throw a flash-bang grenade back at ICE.

She named here self "Von Woke" LOLOLOL

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - Self-proclaimed hero Luna von Woke, the woman who thought grabbing a live flash-bang grenade during an anti-ICE riot was a brilliant idea, is now crowdfunding for expensive prosthetic fingers after the device predictably exploded in her hand. Von Woke dove headfirst into the chaos to stop federal agents from deporting a convicted pedophile, only to discover that ordnance doesn't respect good intentions or safe handling practices.
"I was bravely protecting an undocumented guest from Trump's fascist deportation machine when I heroically scooped up that flash-bang," von Woke explained from her hospital bed, proudly displaying her stump. "Now I need $50,000 for top-of-the-line prosthetic fingers so I can keep flipping off ICE agents and signing petitions. This is all Trump's fault for making grenades explode!"
Eyewitnesses confirmed the moment of genius: von Woke treated the live grenade like a participation trophy, attempting to lob it back at agents enforcing immigration law. "She wanted to ice the deportation of a foreign child predator, but physics iced her fingers instead," said one spectator who avoided the blast radius.
Her GoFundMe page, titled "Fingers for the Resistance," has so far raised a staggering $27 from sympathetic donors, with the progress bar frozen at 0.05%. The pedophile she fought to save was successfully deported and unavailable for comment.

I agree with all that but Pretti did not use his weapon and was entitled to carry it, as you are, and they disarmed him before they shot him with 10 bullets.....that could happen to you mate....and was totally OTT, these ICE guys are out of control and they look like the law enforcers in Iran and China all masked..... not Americans.

Anyone subscribing to anything less than immediate deportation of illegals should be charged with sedition.

Notice that in Minneapolis, the problems are concentrated in a small, heavily Somali Democratic area. Most of the rest of the state voted Republican and supports ICE and Trump.

Many of the agitators causing chaos are being brought in from outside the state and paid to do it.

This is just a diversion meant to distract from the fraud that's already been exposed.

Not without the actual physical ID card on my possession while carrying or its a crime.

No way. I'm not as stupid as those protesting idiots. I know better. I have more important things to do. It's all a distraction to keep the focus off the fraud that was uncovered in Minnesota.

all masked..... not Americans.

Agents wear masks because they get doxed and threatened. Funny how Democrats never demand protesters be unmasked.

.let's face it, the USA is being invaded too!

Thats why Trump wants to get all the Somalis out and the majority of the country is behind him. The people voted for this in 2024 and hes delivering.

Agreed, but they really need to control themselves before public opinion turns against them.....there is only so far you can go in a free and democratic society.

So can Americans with all the permits legally carry a gun in the US or not? The US Commander and Chief says they can't, so how is the US different from Europe?

Poloniusz
28 Jan 2026  #795

Where are these responsibilities and when did anyone sign up to them?

You don't "sign up" for responsibilities. They attach automatically when you live under a legal system.

And pretending this is about taxes or sidewalk snow is a dodge. Those obligations don't end with armed officers on the scene. What we're talking about is how people behave during real encounters with law enforcement - where insisting the rules are "abstract" is a great way to learn they are not.

Yes, but do you think most people understand that the other side of the equation could be: "You will be shot like a dog"?

Most adults in a city like Minneapolis don't need a law degree to know that law enforcement officers carry guns and are authorized to use force - you see it on the streets, in the news, and in virtually every officer-involved shooting video that goes viral. You can be certain that if they were being victimized by violent crime, they wouldn't hesitate to call the police precisely because of officers' ability to use deadly force.

And let's be brutally honest: Minneapolis still remembers the George Floyd riots and the whole 'defund the police for using deadly force' tantrums.

The only ones in utter disbelief are the cozy, self-important white middle-class leftists - yes, that very much includes the self-described 'wife, mother, and poet' Renee Good and the dedicated gun-toting ICU nurse Alex Pretti - who apparently thought the rules, laws, and brutal realities of law enforcement magically exempt woke people like themselves.

'Polish' American, Anthony Kazmierczak. What is it about 'Polish' Americans and being insane criminals?

Wow, how predictable! On every other thread, Polish-Americans are just "Americans" - no heritage, no culture, no ties. They're completely erased, reduced to nothing. But the moment one of them is accused of something, suddenly they're "Polish" again, as if that explains everything - except, of course, when it conveniently doesn't.

And let's not pretend you don't have a classic double standard: Jews, including Jewish-Americans,' successes are flaunted as proof of their identity, but if one of them commits a crime? Well, they're just "white" or their identity isn't mentioned at all. Hypocrisy much? It's laughable how you cherry-pick your stereotypes to fit your narrative. Why don't you just admit you're here only to smear and divide - because clearly, you've got nothing better to do but sit all day in your squalid British bedsit?

One of the requirements of having my job is getting a certificate from the National Criminal Register every three years

Oh, so you boast about your "National Criminal Register" certificate? How quaint. In the UK, sex offenders must register and follow strict restrictions too - fail to do so, and they face serious jail time. Same in Europe, where they're legally obliged to update their info regularly.

But at least your "compliant," huh?

I'll leave that right there.

A newly emerged video from January 13th appears to show Alex Pretti spitting at ICE agents and kicking and breaking the taillight of their vehicle in a clash with federal officers, less than two weeks before he was killed.
He should have been arrested and charged with a felony, and his gun permit should have been revoked for that. Unhinged people shouldn't be allowed to possess guns.

If the guy had been in jail where he belonged, he would still be alive today!

@Alien
When you are dumb enough to get involved and interfere with law enforcement, bad things can happen. Anyone not understanding this has no one to blame but themselves foer what may happen.

Illegal immigrant = breaking the law to get into the country. Very simple. Like stand your ground laws, ICE should be at the border and simply shoot a few trying to cross, and watch how quickly the rest change their minds. Every singlwe illegal in the country should be deported. Planes should be flying in and out of the country 24/7.

You don't "sign up" for responsibilities..

None of that makes any sense. Unless these responsibilities are written down and voted upon then they don't exist.

The people make the laws - not the rulers. Unless you live in North Nigeria or another tyrannical state.

Lazarus
29 Jan 2026  #799

that could happen to you mate.

I'm sorely tempted to say "Let's hope so." but we do try to be better people than the bigots on the far right, don't we.

On every other thread, Polish-Americans are just "Americans" - no heritage, no culture, no ties.

I didn't refer to him as Polish-American, I correctly described him as 'Polish' American. He's not Polish anything, he's 'Polish' American. And he isn't just accused of anything, he's on film committing the crimes he committed. It's hilarious how much the far right hate video!

Oh, so you boast about your "National Criminal Register" certificate? ..

Not a boast, entirely normal for people who deal with the kind of information I handle. And we don't need to update our info, just get confirmation that nothing has changed in the records the employer can't access. Interesting to know you think people have to do that, clearly you're still in the stage of mommy needing to update your probation officer. I wonder what that officer would make of your fantasies about shooting people and having access to secret police data. Shall we find out?

If the violent leftist Pretti had been jailed after the January 13 incident involving spitting, kicking, and a firearm, he would likely still be alive today.

If the masked goons who broke his ribs had been correctly disciplined, the masked goons who murdered him wouldn't have been so confident that they'd get away with their crimes.

That video shows that he was an unhinged leftist. But I still don't think that it is right to put 10 bullets into an unarmed man, however demented he may be.

but we do try to be better people than the bigots on the far right

Really?I see no evidence of that at all.I would not call myself a bigot,I have no problem at all with skin colour or religion, except for Islam.Islam is a religion and not a race, you can call me Islamophobic but not racist.I am not far right but I am very right wing.
You lot like to label even liberal right wingers like me as Nazis.

That video shows that he was an unhinged leftist

Someone with that level of anger should have had his firearms permit revoked after the incident where he spit at police and damaged a vehicle while armed. Committing a crime while carrying a firearm is a felony. If he had been arrested then, he'd likely still be in custody or under mental evaluation, and still alive today.

Someone with that level of anger should have had his firearms permit revoked .

That could apply to tens of millions of Americans though - there is a huge level of anger and a huge level of gun ownership.

Not a problem we have here thankfully.

If he had been arrested then

Yes, obviously this is something they could arrest him for back then. Interestingly, apparently he was carrying his gun during that previous incident too - and yet they somehow managed not to kill him.

Someone with that level of anger should have had his firearms permit revoked

You mean like Novichok? lol The gun-toting grandpa shooting from the hip, as johnny_reb called him ;D Hopefully Novichok won't kill anyone if he develops dementia or sth.

Somewhere earlier on this thread I wrote that Alex Pretti's death was even more unnecessary than Renee Good's death and former American cops who made a video analysis of his killing are saying the same thing:

They were livestreaming, so you have to be a bit patient with them - this video is over 1 hour long, but I think it's really worth watching. They seem objective to me, because they're criticising both (political) sides for making things worse than they could be, so that's refreshing. They analyse this incident purely from the LEO's perspective and they're clearly experienced cops. I agree with all their observations and conclusions. One of them is a former Texas cop who dealt with many gun owners during his police interventions and managed not to kill anyone, so I think he's right in saying that based on that he has the right to make a criticism of what he saw in the videos.

Those guys seem like normal, reasonable people who know the law, know their tactics, are emotionally balanced and not the power-tripping type of cops, if you know what I mean. I would 100% feel safe around such police officers.

Also, this is the best slow motion of the video filmed by "the lady in the pink coat" that I've seen so far and you can clearly see in this one that the officer that was the first to shoot Pretti likely saw that the guy in gray jacket took Pretti's gun away. And the guy in the gray jacket should've informed other officers that he took the gun - to me it doesn't look like he did.

Btw, what do they mean when they're talking about "2020"? Do they mean the protests after the death of George Floyd?

Also, why is nobody on PF talking about the new batch of Epstein files released? The internet is literally red hot with this since yesterday. Are you all busy looking through the screenshots? 🤔

Fico's adviser just resigned, because he's in the files:

"Slovakia PM's national security adviser resigns over Epstein links:"

bbc.com/news/articles/cnvgljj1dygo

A fragment from the article:

'After Epstein sent an image, which cannot be seen in the record, Lajčák replies: "Why don't you invite me for these games? I would take the 'MI' girl".

"Who wouldn't," Epstein texts back. "You can have them both, I am not possessive. And their sisters."

Later on in the conversation, Epstein can be seen imploring Lajčák to ask Lavrov to get him a t-shirt featuring Lavrov and Viltaly Churkin, a Russian ambassador to the UN who had died the previous year.

"You get the tee shirt. Then you get the girls," Epstein writes, to which Lajčák agrees.'

-------

I don't know why BBC claims that "the files do not show any wrongdoing on the part of those featured." There have been 3 milion files released (so how would they even know - people are still looking through them) and from the screenshots I've seen the files show a lot of wrongdoing being described and shown and of course Trump is mentioned many times, including him doing despicable, evil things:

I googled one of the "pizza fans" - Roy Hodges - is this the guy?:

todaysmagazine.co.uk/roy-hodges-former-husband-of-glenda-jackson/

An actor, the former husband of Glenda Jackson and "a respected Member of Parliament - Hodges built a life behind the scenes rather than in the bright glare of public fame."

Is he still alive?
