USA News and Poland - part 18

You hate Trump.

Hardly. He is so morally below any decent human being that talking about hatred is completely nonsensical. Do you hate maggots? Or tapeworms? Of course not. They are thoroughly disgusting but hating them wouldn't make any sense at all.

chump

The Chinese have a nice nickname for him: Chuan Jianguo - Trump the Nation Builder (meaning, of course, the Chinese nation). It is all over Chinese social media platforms; and they are not saying this with gratitude for strengthening China's global position, they're properly taking the p*ss out of him.

Adolf

Make up your mind, dude. I can be either a leftard or an "Adolf". Or maybe I am a far-right leftard? Your confusion stems from the fact that I am simply an honest, decent, hard-working, conservative Christian (i.e. complete and utter opposite of Trump). The problem with Americans is that somebody convinced you that Republicans (basically a trade union for multi-millionaires/billionaires) represent conservative Christian values. 🤣 🤣 🤣

I was trying to avoid American news and this forum for the last weeks, but I happened to follow the Olympic news a bit and so... I have a question to... American men.

Could American men explain to me why the whole US male hockey team laughed when the American president said that he will "have to" invite the female hockey team to the White House too? And it wasn't just, you know, an uncomfortable chuckle - they laughed loudly, wholeheartedly like it was the best "joke" ever.

What's "funny" about that?

This made me wonder - do they hate women this much? Do they think female athletes are somehow unworthy of being invited to the White House? That the White House is some kind of "boys' club"?

To put things into perspective - the female hockey team won gold during Olympics too. Actually, majority of US gold medals during Olympics in Italy were won by women.

So... what gives? Could anyone explain this to me?

In Poland such behaviour would be unthinkable. I'm not just talking about male team laughing at female Olympic gold medalists. I'm talking about the president of the country making it sound as if female Olympic gold medalists are unwelcome in the presidential palace. Even a right-wing president, like Nawrocki, wouldn't do such a thing.

That's unfathomable for me.

In Poland we'd be proud to have women like these:

Indeed. There were even instances when men's volleyball NT members went to watch and cheer the women's NT in a qualifying game.

I have a question to... American men. (...) Could anyone explain this to me?

I wouldn't hold my breath.

Adolf was a leftard. He is correct here.

@Paulina, stop with your feminist obsessions.

Women should have children instead of wasting time on some useless pursuits.

Adolf was a leftard.

Yes, he was. A national socialist, but still a socialist. However, in popular culture - on Joker's level - Hitler is considered a far-right nazi. So, when Joker calls me a "leftard" first and then an "Adolf", it proves a total confusion on his part.

Women should have children

Indeed. However, they can't have children with themselves, they need men for it, and men today - as statistics tell us - are equally reluctant to start families as women.

Yes, the "polskie złotka" came to my mind immediately too... As I wrote - I think such behaviour would be unfathomable for a Polish person. It's not just misogynistic - for me it's simply unpatriotic. How can a normal person sh1t on people who bring Olympic gold medals for your country? That's like the highest, most cherished trophy in sport...

Women should have children instead of wasting time on some useless pursuits.

Women manage to do both, that's how awesome they are! :)

I wouldn't hold my breath.

Well, the Polish misogynistic retard barked out of his a-hole already, so maybe American men will follow suit, who knows lol

I was trying to avoid American news

So why start blabbing now?

You're building an entire sexism conspiracy theory off a few seconds of guys laughing in a room. You don't know the context, the tone, or what was said before or after.

Nobody said the women were unwelcome. The women's team gets invited just like every championship team does. That's standard practice.

The womens team had other obligations, duh. Next time do some research before spouting your mouth off again!

And spare the "in Poland this would be unthinkable" line. Politics everywhere has awkward moments. It doesn't mean society is collapsing.

Just stay out of our business you fuzzy foreigner!!!

You're morally broken because you voted f

You're like a broken record, repeating the same tired diatribe over and over.

If you had an actual argument, you wouldn't need to recycle the same accusations every single day.

You keep throwing around paedophile like it's a proven criminal conviction. It isn't. Repeating it over and over doesn't magically turn it into one.

The tape you're referring to was crude locker room talk about adult women. Disgusting to some? Sure. Evidence of child abuse? No. Stop deliberately conflating the two.

I am simply an honest, decent, hard-working, conservative Christian

Same here. I just dont want illegals pouring into my country bringing drugs and murdering inocent ppl.

The good news is the USA and Mexico have been working together to elimate the cartel leaders..El Mencho was killed a few days ago:)

No, I've asked American men (you included) a question. Because, you know, for a Polish person, that's a very "foreign" behaviour, so I'd like American men to explain it to me.

You don't know the context, the tone, or what was said before or after.

Actually, the video is available for everyone to see (and listen to). So what's your take on it?

Because one of those players who are in this video said later that they "should have reacted differently". So I guess it wasn't such an innocent joke after all?

The womens team had other obligations, duh.

Yeah, right, haha LOL

Your president made it sound like they are unwelcome. And I don't understand what's "funny" about that.

It isn't just about politics though. I didn't expect anything better from Trump. What shocked me was that the whole male team laughed. And that probably tells us something about your society.

Yet another proof that social media is for retards. Colossal waste of time.

As for violence against women in Poland...

- according to the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE), 17 % of women in Poland have experienced physical and/or sexual violence since age 15. This is ≈14 percentage points below the EU-27 average of 31 %;

- a survey by Poland's government (based on the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights - FRA data) indicated that 19 % of Polish women reported physical and/or sexual violence from a current or former partner, vs an average 33 % in the EU-28. Psychological partner violence was 37 % in Poland vs 43 % EU-28 average;

- according to crime data compiled by international agencies such as UNODC, Poland's recorded rape rate (~1.29 per 100 000) is comparatively low.

Etc. etc.

Also, Poland is the best country in the world for solo travelling women...

Psychological partner violence was 37 %

Hmmm... beating is frowned upon, but the Pole is not averse to playing some mind games?

So, in the end, you are saying that Poles are the authentic knights of Europe?

Very well, very well...

But now imagine a scenario - you come home after a long day of posting on PolishForums from the bar around the corner. You are 8 pints deep, but haven't eaten. You are ravenously hungry.

Upon entering the home, instead of a warm welcome with hot tea and slippers - you see your wife on the phone talking to her wh*re mother.

Frustrated, you go to wake up your son - and tell him to go buy you a pack of cigarettes.

While you wait for your son to return from the store, you decide to investigate the situation with provisions. The fridge is empty.

You confront your wife over this state of affairs, and she yells back at you: "Can't you see I am talking to my mother?"

Your actions?

Torq
26 Feb 2026  #944

imagine a scenario

Hm... where to start? I don't go to bars - they are frequented by retards who get drunk, and if there is one thing in the world that's worse than a retard, it's a drunken retard. I don't wear slippers at home, I do what my mother always forbade me when I was a child - I go barefoot! I don't smoke, and if I sent my 7-year-old to buy cigarettes, nobody would sell it to him. The fridge is never empty because Monday to Friday we get our food delivered (we all have our separate box meal plans) and on weekends we eat out. My wife and I have never yelled at each other. Therefore, your scenario is so abstract and distant from my family life that I can't properly put myself in the situation you described.

Also, and I will now shock you - there hasn't been a single divorce neither in my wife's family nor mine. Like - not ever, not a single one. Ha!, as Pawian would say. :)

Funny.

It is funny how distorted is some people's view of Poland, and the amount of galactic nonsense people can get from social media.

Of course we can't blame Bobko. He comes from a decadent country where there are more divorces than in France, and currently resides in a country where it's normal even for Roman-Catholics to have a third or a fourth wife. Answer me this Iron - how can we, Poles, remain humble and not end up with a feeling of immense moral superiority when we look at the total rot and corruption of lesser nations? That is the question.

Bobko
26 Feb 2026  #947

I don't wear slippers at home

What kind of a Slav are you?

if I sent my 7-year-old to buy cigarettes, nobody would sell it to him

Pity, this...

I used to be sent to buy smokes and drinks throughout my entire childhood. I believe it's an important part of a child's social habituation.

What's more, one time when I was fishing with my uncle and his buddy in the middle of a bay... in order to avoid pulling up anchors and potentially losing our spot - they sent me swimming for cigarettes and vodka. I had to tie the goods tightly in a plastic bag, which I then wrapped around my neck.

As I was swimming back up to the boat, I was welcomed by my uncle's ass hanging off the side of the boat as he took a sh*t.

Also, and I will now shock you - there hasn't been a single divorce neither in..

Same story.

Funny.

Yes I also found it funny.

If you look carefully at the photo - you can see there is a cage in the corner. This added to the hilarity in the comments - because of course he keeps his wife in a cage.

Also there is a dog lying down beside him....

-//-

My point was simple.

Not that Poles beat women.

But that if American hockey players can make awkward jokes about the women's team, then Poles can make jokes about beating their wives.

It doesn't say anything about anyone's society.

Torq

a beautiful story

Thank you. I tried to explain the same to my father, but he was still very upset with his brother for some time.

Speaking personally, I felt like a real Aquaman. All the people on the beach @ 9 am, setting up umbrellas and chairs, and me - like an alcoholic St. Bernard wading back into the water with my mission package tied around my neck.

26 Feb 2026  #951

Did your grandmother not explain these basics to you?

She did, and so did my mother. Like all good Slavic women they were absolutely terrified of their children running barefoot or sitting directly on the ground. However, the ultimate Slavic woman's bogeyman has always been the terrifying Przeciąg. The demon has many names - průvan, протяг, праця́г, propuh - and it scares the living daylight out of every Słowianka. If I as much as cracked a window open a little (or sometimes even some door in a corridor) as a child, all the Slaviankas in the radius of a kilometer descended upon me like a wolf pack. My wife is the same. One of many mysteries of the universe.

I, of course, consider it a horrible superstition and wallow in all sorts of przeciąg when women are not around.

me - like an alcoholic St. Bernard wading back into the water with my mission package..

Really?

Yes, really.

there hasn't been a single divorce neither in my wife's family nor mine

Neither in mine, btw.

It doesn't say anything about anyone's society.

I think it does say something about the society. As for what you posted from "Polish Twitter" - the first one could be viewed as sarcasm - making fun of Polish patologia men. I don't know the intentions of the person who posted it though, so maybe I'm wrong.
The second one is stupid though and I doubt any of men here would find it "funny" if it was about hating a husband and not a wife.

However, that's just some random, anonymous people posting on social media. That's not the same level as the president and elite male athletes putting down female Olympic gold medalists and being recorded while doing so.

Its 100% true

What's "100% true"? The female team declined Trump's invitation. Of course they made up some bullsh1t explanation for not coming instead of openly saying that they won't come, because the president of their country humiliated them for the whole world to see.🤦

Go post to the Polish threads

When will you learn that I will post wherever I want and on whichever topics I choose? You know nothing about Europe and Poland and yet you post in whichever threads you want. Grow up.

In Poland such behaviour would be unthinkable.

Can you imagine Poland twice electing somebody who boasted about sexually assaulting women?
Can you imagine Poland twice electing somebody who boasted about watching naked children getting changed?
Can you imagine Poland electing somebody convicted of 34 felonies?
Can you imagine Poland electing somebody who a jury found to be a rapist?
Poland and the USA are clearly very different countries.

Bobko

I think it does say something about the society

If it says something about society - and it is bad - who then is good?

We are talking about America and Poland. Two... relatively modern countries.

Where is your heaven? Where is your refuge?

Maybe the society you seek is not yet in existence on this Earth?

Is it Japan, where salary workers plow their female colleagues with alcohol, and then get handsy in the taxi ride on the way home?

Is it Korea - where the next stop after the bar is the sauna?

Is it the Vatican - where in their free time they like to hear little boys sing?

Is it in Orthodox Islamic Kabul - where mullahs enjoy little boys bouncing on their knee?

Paulina
26 Feb 2026  #955

Can you imagine Poland twice electing somebody who boasted about sexually assaulting women?

No, I can't. I remember my shock when it turned out that Trump's leaked comments about grabbing women "by the pu*sy" weren't enough to bury his chances for presidency. Something like that wouldn't fly in Poland (even though there's been a decline in Polish politics and society too since PiS came to power, imho). No big party would risk putting forward someone like that as a candidate for presidency.

And look how far we've gone since then... Trump is mentioned thousands of times in Epstein files, American elites turned out to be completely degenerated and corrupted and God knows how deep that rot goes and nothing is happening... The American police and FBI - powerless, useless and probably corrupted too... To say that I'm shocked doesn't cut it anymore... I'm horrified.

We are talking about America and Poland. Two... relatively modern countries.

Yes, and I'm sharing my observations based on what I know about Poland and what I can see is happening in the US.

If it says something about society - and it is bad - who then is good?

I don't know who's "good" - but from what I can see Poland seems better in this regard. Not perfect. Better (than the US at least).

Btw, my impression of the US (maybe it's a wrong impression, I don't know) is that it is more radicalised than Poland on both sides (Republicans vs Democrats, men vs women). 🤔

Bobko
26 Feb 2026  #956

my impression of the US

The great and wonderful United States - are more divided than any place on Earth. South Sudan and Sudan, or East Timor and Indonesia does not compare....

Hello Paulina - welcome to Earth!

You have discovered that America is a f*cked up country!

Paulina

The great and wonderful United States - are more divided than any place on Earth.

Well, I don't know about that - they haven't started killing each other yet... But clearly I had a very idealised view of the US... It looks like it's a freaking Sodom and Gomorrah... o_O'

My view of the US these days:

USA

It needs some very deep cleansing... And I don't know if it's even possible... I do hope it is... *heavy sigh*

Bobko
26 Feb 2026  #958

they haven't started killing each other yet...

The last time they killed each other - it was one of the bloodiest wars of the century.

As some smart person said - (1) a 20th century war, (2) fought with 19th century weapons, (3) using 18th century tactics.

They bled so hard, that the South lost 20%+ of its pre -war draftable age male population. AS DEAD - notice. Not total casualties - BUT DEAD.

That's worse than the Soviet Union when fighting the fascists.

-//-

You don't want Americans to begin fighting each other again - because it will be worse than the Russian October Revolution and the Russian Civil War taken together.

For the sake of humanity - let's hope the Americans don't decide to try to destroy each other again.

Torq
26 Feb 2026  #959

I can see Poland seems better in this regard

Definitely. It's not blind patriotism or some tribal bias to say this. The more I learn about other countries and cultures, the more I appreciate Poland. We really got most things right, and even though there are wealthier and more powerful countries, then - all things considered - Poland is God's chosen nation (hence the Jewish resentment, as God's former chosen nation, but that's a topic for a different thread).

Bobko
26 Feb 2026  #960

Also - just as a hypothetical - I think if there is a new civil war, this time around, the North might lose.

Even if aligned with Canada and the rest of the world - it may lose.

The center of gravity of economic life has been shifting unto the Sun Belt.

The old Rust Belt is dying.

The old advantage of industry and numbers won't save the North again.
