USA News and Poland - part 19

Absolutely.Did you ever see a military operation as successful as this?

Maybe Ukraine's 18 month long defence of Pokrovsk against the world's supposedly second best army.

Bobko

Did you ever see a military operation as successful as this?

It should be fair to judge a war against the objectives that were set by the people that started it. No?

Trump's stated goals were:

1) Destroy nuclear capability

2) Eliminate missile forces

3) Achieve regime change

4) Secure resources

So far... it's been a failure on every single item.

-//-

If you can't judge a war's success based on the goals that you set out for yourself - what can you judge it on then?

Ironside

war's success

Come on, it is a tremendous success, the likes of which the world hasn't seen before. You suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome and hate America if, in your delusion, you question the great misleader.

Joe Rogan called a certain segment of the American public F-dorks.
My opinion is not made in isolation.

Bobko

Come on, it is a tremendous success

What's interesting - is what happens when two allies have totally diverging views on what constitutes "success"?

For Israel, this war is existential. They want to completely disable Iran, so that it would stop threatening their country directly or through its proxies in Lebanon, Yemen, and Gaza.

If Iran can negotiate a ceasefire, and then simply rebuild its missile stocks and refill its treasury - that's not acceptable to Israel. It guarantees that there will be another war in the future.

For America, this war is not existential. America's interests are in "enforcing deterrence", protecting its allies, and keeping international commerce flowing.

--//--

Trump is sending a million signals that he wants this war over very soon.

How will Israel react then?

Israel is a democracy too (a sort of Orban-style democracy, but still). It has a strong opposition. In the past, the opposition had not refrained from attacking the coalition government for running failed wars.

If Trump calls an early end to this war, and Israel has no choice but to follow suit - then the Israeli opposition will attack Netanyahu for embroiling the country in a war that achieved none of Israel's aims, and yet severely damaged the economy and furthered Israel's international isolation.

If a narrative forms in Israel that they "lost the war", will this have an effect on Trump and the Republicans in the midterm elections?

That is, if the Israelis are convinced that they "lost" - then it becomes that much harder for Trump to sell this sh*t sandwich as a "HUGE WIN" to the American population. The MAGA faithful will of course swallow whatever lie Trump will be pushing, but the other 70% of America will be much harder to convince.

--//--

Alternatively - if Trump pulls out - could Netanyahu insist on carrying on with the war without American help?

I understand that Israel has to rely on American refueling planes to be able to bomb Iran. So maybe its not possible to continue without America?

Also, how would it make Trump look in front of the Iranians - if he is not able to make Israel stop its attacks?

They know it's a hoax; they're even going to "launch" it on the April's Fools Day, but it won't change the fact that MAGA low IQ idiots will believe in this distraction.

This has been reported by every news outlet.

Do you argue the goals were something else?

Przelotnyptak1

3) Achieve regime change

What regime change? They are all enjoying 72 young, virgin goats.

So far, it has been a failure in every single aspect. This is shaping up to be the greatest defeat in the history of wars. Not a single plane or ship has been lost. Thanks to American generosity, they can sell one gallon of oil, but our patience is wearing thin. Either the extremist clerics realize that their power is being constrained, or time is running out for them.

I thought you were more objective, but your close proximity to Golden Moron, Barney, and others seems to be affecting your rationality.

Also, how would it make Trump look in front of the Iranians - if he is..

One of the false narratives ever told. Now concentrate on the glorious strings of victories, on the Ukrainian front.

Bobko

@Przelotnyptak1

Let's revisit the points:

1) Nuclear program - Trump recently mocked a journalist for even asking if he is planning to send in special forces to secure the 900 lbs of highly enriched uranium buried under a mountain last June. So.... as soon as this war is over Iran's gonna dig all that stuff back up. Have anything to say about this?

2) Missiles - this week Iran has been firing twice as many missiles as last week. This, after Hegseth and Trump had claimed multiples times to have largely disabled Iran's capacity to launch missiles.

3) Regime Change - you replaced an old cleric, with a man that is thirty years younger and is guaranteed to hate you with twice the passion his father did. Because you killed his father, his brother, his wife, and his niece. He'll want revenge.

4) Resources - so far your allies are losing their oil fields, and refineries, and data centers. Iran is making more money than it had made at any point in the last 10 years. It's also successfully charging a toll of $2M per ship, when it lets ships through the Strait.

While Americans enjoy war criminals as Navy officers, I'm talking about those who are responsible for murdering children in school.

@Bobko
If Iran can negotiate a ceasefire,

Iran is not interested in a ceasefire. Since they are at war, they want to push America out of the ME.
It is Trump who's pants on fire, and he is looking for an existing strategy. He thinks that threatening to attack infrastructure and power plants, which are listed as war crimes ( which at this point doesn't matter), will force the government of Iran to talk.

He is doing that to bring Iran to the negotiation table, but they won't bite.
So, in my opinion, Trump's next move would be to take this island (forgot its name) that is pivotal to Iran's export and economy. That means putting boots on the ground in a limited way. It is a gamble. He might regret it, but if he can pull it off, it would be the only chance for the US to come out of this war with some degree of success.
I don't think the US leaders are suicidal enough to seriously consider a full-scale land invasion of Iran.

As to Isreal, I have no idea, they have nukes, but they won't be able to fight without the US. Govermnat will change for sure, they have enough N. and some people getting their asses bombed and their families in danger, changed their tune.

Barney

@Ironside
If the Americans invade even a small Iranian island it's good night for the Gulf dictatorships, their desalination plants and their oil/ gas infrastructure. Lots of Iranians will be murdered and lots of American invaders will end up in body bags. This is not an inside job by a bunch of traitors like Venezuela. Iran doesn't have an Independence Day for a reason.

Bobko
30 Mar 2026  #584

forgot its name

Kharg Island.

It is 25-30 kilometers away from the Persian mainland.

-//-

If you recall, Russia tried to control Snake Island, located a similar distance away from Odessa's coast.

It was one of the first episodes of the war.

Russian Marine Infantry took the island, and prisoned the small Ukrainian contingent that was defending it. Just before landing, they communicated a surrender offer to the garrison.

The Ukrainians famously said back over the radio: "Russian Navy Ship - F*CK OFF!".

-//-

Afterwards, our poor guys managed to hold out on the island for a further four months.

The entire time, the Ukrainians were shelling them from the mainland out of conventional tube artillery, and occasionally with rocket attacks.

The whole island turned into a lunar landscape.

Finally, after four months, and untold casualties - our guys pulled out in a "good will gesture" (read: they got their butts kicked).

-//-

Problem for Americans - the Odessa coastline is rather flat and devoid of much foliage - and we still failed to stop Ukrainian attacks.

The Iranian coast is made of steep cliffs, and numerous inlets. Then mountains.

Iran shooting at US Marines on Kharg, would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

The exact opposite, it's Americans trying to steal Irans oil as evidenced by Trump himself. I oppose everything about this illegal war except the right of Iran to resist, may they rain fire on the invaders who are going to lose their lives for billionaires. Stupid fcuks

You don't need to be an armchair general to work out that Golden Cow has no idea why he started this war, how to finish it and what will happen afterwards.

Dude.... Taiwan is a western style democracy with an engaged citizenry who expect to be consulted about decisions.

China is a rotten dictator run by the political party that caused the worst famine in human history (perfect institutional continuity).

How much do you hate the west anyway? Did you read the part of 1984 that described a world run by competing dictatorships and say: "Yes! That sounds great!"

Poland is part of the west, why do you want it to fall to tyrannny?

Velund

that caused the worst famine in human history

USA - genocide of Native Indians, Great Britain - India Famine in WW2.
What's your point again? Some sort of EpsteinDemocracy good cuz people can vote for the puppet on the left or the puppet on the right?

world run by competing dictatorships

one can regard 'Democracy' is another form of dictatorship. of the 50.0001 percent. esp when the losing 49.9999 percent is funded by the same people that really control the country.

One can live in the U.S. (God's country) for years and still have no clue; most members of PF are a perfect example. Let me give you an example: the loud voices complaining about President Trump changing his mind and confusing people never realize that this is his goal to begin with-it's a brilliant strategy. Trump should inform the opposition of his plan in advance, especially since they are his critics.

Remember the morons who used to slap those "I DID THAT" Biden stickers on gas pumps? Funny how they're nowhere to be found now. Keep in mind, the conman in charge paused the collection of gas taxes, hiding about 50 cents per gallon from what customers actually pay. More debt, more wars.

Ironside

President Trump changing his mind and confusing people never realizes

I think that those people do not realize that Trump is not calling the shots anymore when it comes to the war.
A strategic and operational initiative is in Iran's hands.

Velund
31 Mar 2026  #598

Let me give you an example:

Absolutely unrelated example.

You trying to say that Tajwan is a Western style democracy, that is even more "democratic" than corrupt western countries. From my point of view, supported by my personal experience during my stays there, it is just a little bit more "democratic" compared to mainland China... Just another "ruling group", mostly oriented to US, is in power since approx 2005.

Barney
31 Mar 2026  #599

strategic and operational initiative is in Iran's hands

Of course it is. The US and the apartheid Zionist state are destroying civilian infrastructure in Iran, they are murdering civilians because they know they can't defeat the Iranian regime. Trump is begging Iran to let him leave so that billy bob fatfcuk can get back to his spray cheese dinner and ignore the clusterfcuk he created. Iran is not going to let the pervert off the hook as much as they want t he bombing to stop.

America is being taught a lesson by a country that has a depth of culture and history they can't possibly comprehend.

Przelotnyptak1

Without the nukes, second to what? But Israel is definitely third.
