Polish forum members die

Bobko

@Atch

One of my fears, is that I should die when I am away from home. Perhaps an overly morose thought for a 34 year old, but I already know exactly where I want to be buried.

Oh yes, no cremations also.

Novi, you mean he will be

My sincere apologies for this error.

Oh yes, no cremations also.

For reasons I am unable to explain and as illogical as it is, I have a problem with this, too.

At least now he's made the journey back that he wanted to make.

Oh yes, no cremations also.

Medical schools are desperate for people's bodies for students to train on and those bodies can also be used for safety testing to save lives in the future. They don't take all bodies, even if you bequeath yours (it can depend on cause of death) and it isn't for everyone however that's what I'm doing with mine eventually.

Anyway, may Adrian rest now, and may he find the peace in the next world that he didn't find in this one.

Not in the least. It's completely natural - to an Irish person anyway.

I have a problem with this, too.

And I have a problem with being buried! To me, being consumed by the flames, to leave this earth in a burst of heat and light feels right, not to moulder and rot in the damp, the cold and darkness - and then to have my ashes scattered in the sea.

And I have a problem with being buried!

There is a world difference between being "laid to rest" and being burned into ash - the most violent way to treat a person or object.

being consumed by the flames

A disaster for any forensic scientist. Possible murder will never be discovered.

Possible murder will never be discovered.

Well, most people die of natural causes. When was the last time a friend, neighbour or family member of yours was exhumed??

There is a world difference

Exactly. Vive la différence (if you'll excuse the pun, seeing as we're talking about death!).

A favorite theme in crime movies, certainly for a reason.

I will try and get there on Friday - coming from Toruń but have a bit of business to take care of in Konin so this is a good time to make that trip.

So I managed to get there - very pretty church and some great weather and a nice crowd for Adrian

I didn't go on to the stypa as I could see his family were really having a hard time.

Whatever you thought of Dirk I'm sure he goes with our best wishes and when I thought myself of some exchanges I had with him, I think it would be good if we all dialed down the personal insults a bit.

I think it would be good if we all dialed down the personal insults a bit.

Now wouldn't that be nice.

Especially if we stopped using each person as a canvas, onto which is projected the entire substance of their country of birth.

It's nice what you did, and it's nice what you write.

I far as I remember, Dirk never went for personal insults but I will be very happy to continue where he left off.

So I managed to get there

That was very nice of you.
It was funny when we discussed PF drinking in the bar in Warsaw.

I googled him and he's not dead.

I suggest the elderly on this forum, and/or those that are prone to die from a drug or alcohol overdose, allow Email Contact Allow / Disallow registered members to email you via the contact form on PF to be set to yes.

That way If you die, the concerned forum members will be able to reach your email, and not just your PF messages, which no family member of the deceased gives a f*ck about.

It is a long standing tradition in Eastern Europe to bring alcohol and food to the cemetery and have a picnic in front of the grave. In Poland this custom is cherished by Roma people. The Roma raise a toast for the deceased so that his or her soul feels good in the afterlife and is reunited with its family in case it gets lost ir forgotten.

In 19th century, the greatest Polish poet used that motif in an introduction to his most significant work called Dziady - Forefathers` Eve.

Adrian, let`s drink and eat and forget our differences in the forum. Let your soul find the way to the best place in another world, which is sometimes called the better world than ours. Which do you prefer: clear vodka or whisky?

He preferred whisky and mostly JD or JW scotch and vodka of course Finlandia.I am surprised you posted the 2 brands.
That was really nice of you to post something about him on Nov 1st also thx to Atch & Lyzko as well for mentioning him..I hope his folks read it.

I remember when I met him last time,he was waiting for me under my building with 2 small btls of some flavored soplica,I always wonder what was the drink he mixed it with was really tasty.

mentioning him

We owe it to any forum member who leaves us for reasons which they don`t have any influence on. We make a forum family, bonded even though we disagree.

So....who is dead? Adrian? JR?

pawian

Primarily, it is your activity in the PF which is dead.

So....who is dead? Adrian? JR?

Adrian for sure, JR possibly, although he may just be very ill....he has not been on here for nearly 3 months.
Crow has probably passed on too.
But Pawian is still playing at being an obnoxious idiot!

Theres no way he could stop posting for that long.

Adrian for sure,

Adrian was an intellectual giant compared to you, little dwarf. That is why I miss him despite our differences. I can`t say it about you, though. :(:(:(

Adrian was

Sadly an unpleasant POS, a violent criminal with a very long rap sheet, a druggie, a hit and run driver, a racist, a fascist and a fantasist.

Perhaps there was a good person inside, however that person was very deeply hidden, very weak and vulnerable, and Adrian was determined to let any decency stay well buried.

His passing is no loss.

pawian
4 Nov 2023  #120

Sadly an unpleasant

You are disparaging the deceased which is against the Polish tradition. Do you want to be a Polish British mongrel like Milo now ?????

His passing is no loss.

One day sb will say it about you.
Sorry, but now you have debased yourself, not Adrian.
