2016 Presidential Elections in the US

Please allow this gun toten' bible thumpin' God fearing "Red Neck" from Houston Texas, same place Ted Cruz came from, (Making me an authority over a foreigner Aussie in MY country), set you Lefties that read those liberal newspapers such as the Washing Post & the Huffing & Puffing Post propaganda.
Ya ready for the truth son........

Biography of Ted Cruz
Cruz was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where his parents, Eleanor Darragh and Rafael Cruz, were working in the oil business.
His father was a Cuban immigrant to the United States during the Cuban Revolution.
His mother, an American, was reared in Delaware, in a family of Irish and Italian descent.
Cruz attended high school at Faith West Academy in Katy, Texas, and then graduated from Second Baptist High School in Houston.

Class dismissed

propaganda

Oh please! Just because you don't like certain facts doesn't mean it's automatically propaganda, JR. The whole point was that Cruz has shown a position towards immigration that for sure won't secure him the support and/or the votes of the Hispanics/ Latinos in this country. And you can try to twist the truth all you want: for a Mexican, Cruz is a Cuban and not a Mexican.

Redneck class dismissed... :)

Most crucial of all is not so much Cruz' ethnicity, rather his attempt to dismantle the New Deal aka Social Security!!! That's the issue here, folks:-)

johnny reb
4 Feb 2016  #274

A tad bit embarrassed that you aren't quite as enlightened as you pretend to be.
Cruz is a Cuban and not a Mexican.

Ah.......changing your mind now that I gratiously pointed out that you were wrong.
I originally posted:
Why wouldn't Cruz as he is Hispanic and comes from Cuban descent just like Rubio.

And you challenged me and said:
This Washington Post headline says it all: "He's Cuban. I'm Mexican.

Come on son, man up, stand up straight, look down at your shoes and quietly say out loud, I was wrong and Red Neck Johnny Reb was right. :-)

Maybe in Florida, but most likely not in many other states.

Might be enough though, given the idiotic winner-takes-all electoral college system.

An interesting question is whether the typical Trump voter will actually get behind someone like Rubio.

Lyzko
4 Feb 2016  #276

'Think we're sort of missing the point! Cruz' stance on immigration has had LITTLE to do with his Hispanic or part-Hispanic heritage. This is precisely why Hispanics largely revile his remarks as treasonous to one of "their own":-)

.changing your mind now

You don't make much sense, Johnny, because you are still taking my comments out of context. Why would I need to change my mind? The Huffington Post link gave an example of Cruz' unfavorable stance regarding immigration (unfavorable in terms of getting the Latino/Hispanic vote) and the Washington Post article was a response to Delph. It's not the Cubans in Florida who will help Cruz or Rubio. Their number is simply too small to have any real impact. Which leaves the Mexicans, who will have a huge say in the upcoming election. Since Rubio and Cruz are both seen in a negative light by a majority of this group, their vote will go to the Democratic candidate. Clearer now?

And you challenged me

What gives you that idea? Stop drinking moonshine, you silly ol' hick... :)

An interesting question is whether the typical Trump voter will actually get behind someone like Rubio.

Probably. They don't seem to trust someone like Cruz who is too close to the evangelicals of the GOP.

TheOther

Their number is simply too small to have any real impact.

Forgot to add:
Except in Florida, of course, but I don't believe that the state will be as important as in the past this time.

Lyzko
4 Feb 2016  #279

Cruz clearly is not an expected win. Hillary already has the South and the West in her pocket. Probably by end of the summer, she'll have the election all sewn up!

johnny reb
4 Feb 2016  #280

Why would I need to change my mind?

Because I said Cruz was Cuban.
Then you referred to Cruz as being from Mexican trying to correct me.
I corrected you and told you that he was Cuban decent.
You then tried to twist it changing YOUR MIND and say that he was Cuban when you couldn't deny it.
Now you are trying to go off on a bunny trail to confuse the issue.
I am sorry to confuse you with the facts you silly ole Starbuck Boy however the back posts don't lie.
Stop drinking moonshine, you silly ol' hick... :)

Let me correct you again son, "You don't drink shine, you sip it."
Oh ja ja ......Kids today..........

TheOther
4 Feb 2016  #281

Then you referred to Cruz as being from Mexican trying to correct me.

Nope, Johnny. The Washington Post article that I linked is indicating that Rubio and Cruz are both not an option for Mexicans because they are Cuban (amongst other reasons). Read #268 and #269 again, and also the article. You are clearly misunderstanding what was said.

Washington Post:

"Rubio, whose parents are from Cuba, and Ted Cruz, whose father was born in Cuba, are competing to be the first Hispanic in the White House - and casting unprecedented attention on the nation's growing Hispanic vote."

"Most also oppose both Rubio's and Cruz's positions on immigration reform. All of that, in addition to long-standing tensions between Cuban and Mexican immigrants, could dash the GOP's hopes that Cruz or Rubio could do what few Republicans have been able to do in a presidential election: attract significant Hispanic support."

"You don't drink shine, you sip it."

Sipping is for sissies, grandpa...

johnny reb
4 Feb 2016  #282

Nope, Johnny.

Yup son.
This Washington Post headline says it all: "He's Cuban. I'm Mexican."

You posted it, not me so why are you trying to deny it ?
Now I was sure Ms. Atch explained to you about your combative and argumentative behavior today.
Sounds like you need another lesson from her as it seems the first one didn't sink in and you need another one.
Sipping is for sissies, grandpa...

Yeah well you come on down and visit old grandpa and show him how you can "drink" a half pint of shine.
My bet is you will be talking Swahili and howling with the coyotes before you wet your pants and puke all over yourself.

TheOther

"drink" a half pint of shine

Now I know why you are so confused all the time. You drink too much. Maybe you should cut back on that illegal methanol - makes you blind and stubborn:

You posted it, not me so why are you trying to deny it ?

QED... :)

old grandpa

Ask Atch to teach you how to tell the truth, Lafayette...

johnny reb
4 Feb 2016  #284

You drink too much.

People like you could drive me to it, no doubt about that.
I see BAE has taken over second place.
Hillary is having a tough time explaining how she got paid $600,000 plus for speaking fees from Goldman Sachs.
The same bank that hired Chelsie right out of college at a starting wage of $140,000 a year to sharpen pencils.
Talk about the Wall St. Mafia..........
Then Obama goes to a Mosque today and tells them that America shouldn't blame all Muslims for what a few whacko's have done.
I wish I was there to ask him why he doesn't feel the same way about the gun owners in America,

TheOther
5 Feb 2016  #285

Obama goes to a Mosque today

Are you talking about his visit in that mosque with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood? Yeah, don't understand why he did that. Seems very strange, provided that the information about the mosque is true.

People like you could drive me to it, no doubt about that.

This is the WWW, Johnny, not reality ...

Where do you get moonshine in Houston? I checked and there is only one place that legally distills that stuff. 90 proof, which is pretty weak compared to some other booze out there. The worst I've ever drank was an Austrian rum called "Stroh Rum". It is 80% alcohol by volume, so 160 proof. Kills on contact... :)

johnny reb
5 Feb 2016  #286

Yeah, don't understand why he did that

I keep telling you that he is a closet Muslim.
Why else would he be destroying America every chance he gets.
Where do you get moonshine in Houston?

I bring it back when I go up ta see my toothless inbred hillbilly redneck kin in Kentucky & Tennessee. lol
Naw, just pullin' yer leg......we make our own.
It is very easy to do as we use a twenty gallon electric hot water heater. Works great.
I don't picture you as being mechanically inclined so maybe better you buy one on line already to cook.

I must talk to softly so I will repeat myself.

Sorry if I mumbled that.

Geez, Johnny! You asked a question and I gave you a very simple answer. If that's still too complicated for you, find a freakin' redneck forum that better suits your intelligence level. I'd suggest freerepublic.com ... ;)

johnny reb

Quit trying to tell me how to run my life.
If you are so unhappy here to the point you keep having melt downs I suggest you quit challenging each and every one of my posts.
You have been very steamed ever since I told you that Rubio was Cuban decent and not Mexican in which you had claimed.
You shouldn't let your trivial mistakes upset yourself to the point of having these melt downs.
You are like a son to me so take it as constructive criticism.

Trump has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize lol!
Fortunately this doesn't mean he has any chance of getting one :-)
Maybe whoever nominated him had been on the moonshine at the time ;)

Ok, bringing the topic on topic, which is the best candidate for Poland?

Roger5
6 Feb 2016  #292

I don't know whether Trump being of German extraction would have anything to do with how he would treat Poland, but it's academic. Trump is going down soon. Clinton would provide stability, Sanders would look inward. Perhaps that wouldn't be such a bad thing for a change. Clinton is probably the only potential candidate who could find Poland on an unmarked map.

johnny reb
6 Feb 2016  #293

Trump is going down soon

So is Clinton.
God forbid if Trump and his bully temper ever had access to the red button.
We would wake up some morning and read in the news that he had just nuked Denmark.
As it stands right now it looks like it will be between Rubio and Crazy Sanders.
If Hillary gets indicted it will be VERY interesting who they will slip in to replace her.
Biden ? lol
You people in Europe have got to be amazed on how corrupt the voting system is in America.
Hillary lost in Iowa as Sanders got more votes however it was literally determined on six coin flips in which Hillary called ALL SIX of them correctly. (Heads I win, tails you lose) lol (Odds of that are 64:1)
The voting system is so rigged here that it has become so obvious that the next president has already been picked by the Washington mafia.
Clinton is probably the only potential candidate who could find Poland on an unmarked map.

I would take an even up wager on that one.
I can not understand why you would even consider her with all her lies and corruption that she has been linked to.
Do you really want someone so dishonest and corrupt like the POS running America?

Chemikiem
6 Feb 2016  #294

Clinton is probably the only potential candidate who could find Poland on an unmarked map.

Sander's father was a Polish Jew born in Słopnice and most of his Polish family died in the Holocaust.
He went back to his father's hometown in 2013 for a visit :-

nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/bernie-sanders-tops-hillary-clinton-his-ancestral-polish-hometown-n510531

So out of all the candidates he has the most affiliation with Poland.

Many Americans, and especially Trump supporters, have had it with:
The Washington Cartel
Anyone named Bush
Anyone named Clinton
Political correctness
Illegal immigration
Massive unemployment
Welfare waste and fraud
People faking disabilities to go on the dole
TSA airport groping
Obama Care
The Federal Reserve's money-printing schemes
Wall Street crooks like Jon Corzine
Michelle Obama's vacations
Barack Obama's golf
Barack Obama's arrogant and condescending lectures
Barack Obama's criticism/hatred of America
"Holiday trees"
Global warming nonsense
Cop killers
Gun confiscation threats
Stagnant wages
Boys in girl's bathrooms
Whiny, spoiled college students who can't even place the Civil War in the correct century
. . .and that's just the short list.
And what is REALLY sad is that 71% of the young men and women that sign up for the military are rejected because of flunking the literacy test.
This is why the Trump supporters are saying enough is enough.
And who better then President Trump to fix those things that have failed America ?

Yosemite
