2016 Presidential Elections in the US

Lyzko
15 Feb 2016  #331

We seem to be on some sort of hate binge here, people! All Sanders and Hillary want to do is re-level the playing field for ordinary folks, more or less as it was pre-1980. Not all that long ago, all sorts of run-of-the-mill jobs in areas such as clerical, medical and academic, were available to everyone, not merely the politically aka Church/synagogue-connected able to make a deal with the head honcho:-)

Today, such positions have long since been outsourced to India and China. Where does that leave the rest of us?

While I realize a vote for Donald Trump is a "protest vote" against the brainless leftists, what conservative Reps like Trump want is for America to be populated solely by testosterone-pumping jerks able to bully the underdog and leave the truly deserving out there to fend for ourselves.

Is that the America of our Founding Fathers, let along FDR??

So essentially the dying breed of gun toting, Bible bashing W.A.S.P.'s (and catholics) like Johnny and his Tea Party friends. "Johnny & The Tea Party" ... sounds like a hillbilly band ... :)

I wonder what will happen with these guys once the Latino/Hispanic vote has the majority in this country.

Today, such positions have long since been outsourced to India and China.

Which is one of Presidents Trumps top campaign promises, bring our jobs back from China and Mexico and quit paying unbalanced tariffs.
He repeats this over and over.
It is not one of Sanders or Hillary's top campaign promises.
Only a low information voter could deny this.
All Sanders and Hillary want to do is re-level the playing field

All Sanders and Hillary want to do is put more people on the public dole by creating more give a way programs. (Buy votes)
Bernie wants to do away with Obama Care and GIVE everyone Medicaid. lol
Even Hillary questioned him how on earth he would pay for this.
When he answered her she said that he came up about two trillion short.
And I remind you youngsters that before Obama Care (Which was intentionally designed to fail), NO ONE was ever turned away at emergency rooms at the hospitals for medical treatment no matter if that had insurance or not. And privatized health insurance is what the Donald will bring back after he S cans the abortion Obama Care which is government health care.
Working people who refused Obama Care were fined $325 per family member on their 2015 income taxes. The welfare dead weight that didn't work got fined nothing for not having it because they were considered below the poverty level which qualified them for Medicaid which the working people paid for out of every paycheck they earned.
So back to Socialism, it works great UNTIL the other guys money runs out.
Now do understand why the working person is being FORCED to pay for those who refuse to work.
Trump will boot out 16 million illegal invaders who have broken the law to get into our country creating the kind of JOBS these welfare recipients are capable of doing. Plus free up our school, health care and welfare systems saving billions of dollars per year.
Hillary and Sanders don't want to boot them out, they encourage more illegals to come because another name for illegal is FUTURE DEMOCRATS which means more voters for them.
And Hillary wants to forgive all student loans to get her votes. Yup just make those loans go away. Doesn't that teach these kids responsibility, accountability and pride AND again, who gets stuck with paying those loans back ? You got it, the WORKING PEOPLE'S federal income tax deductions. More Socialism......the other WORKING guy pays for my education.
For the life of me I can't understand why you uninformed low information Socialists (exact same thing as a Democrat) refuse to understand that someone has to pay for all these give a way programs which is the WORKING PEOPLE because the government does not do anything to make money, it takes money from the working people is how they get their money.
The Government can't give to someone that they haven't taken from someone first.
So NO ! All Sanders and Hillary want to do is NOT level the playing field.
President Trump is the one that wants to level the playing field by building a wall, bringing American jobs back to America, putting EVERYONE back to work.
It amazes me what/how the Socialist Left has infiltrated our education system and brainwashed you kids with just the opposite of what America was built on to be the most successful country EVER in the world.
If you want to make America great again vote for the Trumpster, if you want to see America look like Europe does now then vote for Sanders or Hillary (if she doesn't get convicted like any other person would be for what she has done.)

The simple concept of such programs is that you pay for others when you can and others will pay for you when you hit a rough patch.
Look at ppl like J.K. Rowling who was on benefits for a while and now is a millionaire paying taxes and making reading cool for kids. Of course there are problems but when I hear Americans moaning about their taxes helping poor I just shake my head

I just heard that Trump will be going third party.
He has had a belly full of the Republican National Committee.
Here are his comments on them.
"The RNC gave all the tickets to special interests that represented Cruz and Rubio.
They had all the tickets," he said. "They walked on the stage and the place went crazy."
He said he doesn't have donors or special interests.
"I think the RNC did a very poor job," he said. "We've warned them...and they don't listen."
The RNC has "total control" over Trump's competitors, he added.
"The bottom line is the RNC is controlled by the establishment and the RNC is controlled by the special interests and the donors and that's too bad," he said.

Trump had originally agreed with the RNC not to go third party if he was going to run as a Republican.
Trump claimed that they have not held up their end of the bargain which releases him from his promise.
If so the General Election would most likely look like this.

Republican Party: Ted Cruz
Democrat Party: Bernie Sanders
Independent Party: Donald Trump

Only in America..............

If that really happens, the Democrats will win the November election. You can only hope that Hillary will be the candidate then and not Sanders. That guy is the worst that could happen to the country.

For once I have to agree with you.
That is why Trump must pull off a win.

and others will pay for you when you hit a rough patch.

If you are referring to welfare lifer's as the 'others' then hell would have a much better chance of freezing over first.
Over 90% of the income tax in America comes from the top 1% yet the so called poor who pay nothing complain that the top 1% don't pay enough.
I just shake my head.
when I hear Americans moaning about their taxes helping poor I just shake my head

My question is, "Where did you hear that ?"

The people I was talking about sure are not 'poor' as they are living better then people who WORK for minimum wage.
They get all theirs free without paying (giving back) taxes.
There are no poor people in America.
There are 48% of the people receiving some kind of government welfare benefits however.
Most of them being rewarded for making bad choices.
Do you think that BAD CHOICE may be a reason they are where they are in life.
Take having six or eight children just so they can collect huge amounts of welfare for each of them.
No no no no, if you can't feed them don't breed them but no, the government rewards them for their stupidity with tax money collected from someone WORKING for minimum wage so they don't qualify for government assistance of any kind.
When the government rewards failure I just shake my head.

The simple concept of such programs is that you pay for others when you can and others will pay for you when you hit a rough patch.

Indeed, it's the most humane way of doing things. It's frightening that some of the poorest Americans are so brainwashed that they think that universal health insurance is a bad thing.

It's frightening that some of the poorest Americans are so brainwashed that they think that universal health insurance is a bad thing.

I agree delph, the poorest (who want free) don't understand.
They would rather sell their soul as long as they get FREE.
They don't understand that privatized health care is much more affordable plus you can choose your own Dr. and keep your records private.
Government health care gives the government COMPLETE CONROL over your private life and costs by telling you when, how, and which Dr. to go to.
Plus the government has complete access to your private medical records which means they are no longer private.
I prefer not giving up such freedoms, you, you are just looking for something free.
Plus the so called "poor" already have free health care with Medicaid that the working people pay for.
You really shouldn't try to promote your Socialism with me.

Did you see the last Republican debate >
You Europeans would have loved the Trumpster.
Jeb Bush brought his brother Gearge W. along to boost Jeb's campaign to attack Trump.
After several exchanges Trump led Jeb right into his trap where Jeb started defending his brother.
Jeb started in how proud he was of his brothers accomplishments in protecting America.
Boy did that open the door for Trump.
Trump fires back, "It was on his watch that the World Trade Center was attacked."
"PROUD, he lied to the American people about weapons of mass destruction to start a war with Iraq !"
The Republican crowd came unglued and started booing Trump.
I would have to say that Trump finally has shot himself in the foot with his big mouth.
He sure didn't gain any votes from the Republican Party by tearing the Bush family apart even if it was true.
I personally can't see Trump having a chance to win the Republican nomination after that.
My guess is that Trump has full intentions of going third party Independent.
A lot of Democrats applauded Trump for throwing the Politically Incorrect truth into the ring.
He maybe gained from the Democrats as many votes that he lost in his latest rant if he goes Independent.
There are a whole lot of Americans that are still very ashamed of what/why we attacked Iraq. (Oil)
In fact a lot of people believe that it was an inside job by the C.I.A. to blow up the towers for an excuse to attack Iraq.
They had NOTHING to do with attacking America as it was the Saudi's (Bush's friends) that flew the planes into the Trade Towers.
With Iraq's oil fields blown up one might think that would give the Saudi's, Americans alias, the Bush families personal friends, control over the oil in the middle east.
And if you remember when the air space was shut down after the attack, THE ONLY PLANES that left America the next day was full of Saudi families, Bushes friends, heading back to Saudi Arabia.
I hope the C.I.A. doesn't assassinate Trump to shut him up.
This is getting better then a $15 movie by the day.

Johnny, what's "great" about an America that rampantly disregards its most valuable NATIVE-BORN tax-paying, hard-working citizens in favor of foreign-born slime, imported to the US via Amnesty International and in far too many instances, taking jobs qualified Americans deserve as well as NEED??!

The Reps have it wrong, as usual. Europe is to be emulated, not in every aspect (for instance her size), but at least in France and Germany, the native-born citizen is accorded the best in medical care that the country has to offer!

You're missing the key. What is to be done with those who need the help which the New Deal once provided? If you folks can't answer that one, then just put up or shut up. End of speech:-)

Trump flirts with suggestion that Supreme Court Justice Scalia was murdered.
Scalia was found dead with a pillow over his face while at a hunting club in Texas.
Officials are saying that he died from a heart attack.......natural causes...... :-o
Scalia was a gun advocate and pro gun ownership.
Obama insists on nominating his replacement with his pick less then 24 hours after Scalia's death. Hmmm
(And we already know it won't be a white skinned person and be a gun grabber)
The Republican Senate says NO, the next president elected will nominate Scalia's replacement.
Something smells here and I expect it to balloon into something real BIG soon.
The Senate has to approve Obama's nomination and I just can't see that happening anytime soon.
Meanwhile Trump should win in South Carolina this coming Saturday.

17 Feb 2016  #346

Oh, Johnny! Are you glad the speech ended because it may have spoken too much of the bitter TRUTH???

Remember, pal! Ya can run, but ya can't hide:-)

Apropos Scalia, in my view he was a mixed bag. Liberal on many issues, rock-ribbed conservative on many others. Me, I'm pro-choice, then again, many of my colleagues here on PF aren't.
That's what makes horse racing, kids!

johnny reb
17 Feb 2016  #347

Are you glad the speech ended because it may have spoken too much of the bitter TRUTH???

No, I am glad it ended because it has nothing to do with today's welfare programs.
The New Deal was about the 1930's government creating jobs and taking people off welfare which is just the opposite of your image of it.
It alleviated the financial burden of many by providing jobs through several programs.
The jobs on railroads and forests and improved the living standards in America.
The bad part was it gave too much power to the government.
They were in charge of the economy and large industrial companies.
This in turn could lead to a dictatorship among the government and the liberties of individuals would be taken away.
The New Deal programs favored whites over the African Americans.
There was much discrimination and unwarranted job firings.
So when you start in with the New Deal the New Deal the New Deal as some kind of an authoritive crutch to justify welfare which has nothing to do with this thread, besides trying to make you look like some kind of a genius on the topic, I was more then elated when you posted
End of speech:-)

However we weren't afforded any such luck.
Now hopefully we can continue about Trump and his campaign and 'can' your repetitious irrelevant Big Deal/New Deal song and stop you from constantly going off thread with your balderdash.

If you and yours were down and out, you'd pray for a second Roosevelt. Then again, lots of brainwashed buzzards out in la-la-land would indeed be content to sleep under an apple tree, use an outhouse and die impovrished rather than see a New Deal liberal in the White House!!!

Oh, I pity your misguidedness (not that you need it). Well, the rest of us would like to see something better. Don't please make others suffer simply because you're a narrow-minded Puritan.

If you and yours were down and out,

What are you and yours down and out about Lyzko ?
A lot of kids your age can't afford to leave the nest.
and die impovrished rather than see a New Deal liberal in the White House!!!

The only liberals we have running for the White House are Socialist liberals which will make everyone die in impoverishment silly.
Well, the rest of us would like to see something better.

Who is "us" ? You and your teenager friends that have champagne dreams on a beer budget ?
You can have something better then your folks basement, just work a little bit harder.
Now back on thread as it seems Lyzko just wants a self pity party REFUSING to stay on topic.

Trump is no longer the #1 front runner in the GOP National Polls tonight.
Cruz has taken over as the leader.

delphiandomine
18 Feb 2016  #350

Cruz has taken over as the leader.

Good news for the Democrats then. Trump has enough support to fund an independent run, he'll split the Republican vote and guarantee that neither Rubio or Cruz has the ability to win. He's ahead by a mile in South Carolina, Nevada is his, and there's a lot of talk of Democrat voters intentionally voting for Trump in open primaries due to his opposition to the Iraq War and the Bush military-industrial complex.

Still, the bookies still see Trump as the clear favourite to win the nomination.

Lyzko
18 Feb 2016  #351

I'm nearly 56, married with a (teenage) daughter and have seen both sides of the equation, Johnny boy!

Cruz is scarcely an improvement, though a darned sight better than The Donald:-)

Anyone is better then Trump, now which president will say the fu*K word in his public speach.I just hope trump supporters are not voters.

Lyzko
18 Feb 2016  #353

Oh, but they are! By definition, his voters are also his supporters:-)

How unpresidential a candidate!! Where are the phrasemakers of yore? Paging Adlai Stevenson and Barry Goldwater!!

johnny reb
18 Feb 2016  #354

Trump is funding his own campaign. No influential lobbyists to sway him.
You always wonder when the other candidates start dropping out who their supporters will turn to.
If Trump does win the nomination all he will have to do is promise free cell phones and he will become our new president.
It worked before.

WoW, did you see today where the Pope said that Trump was not a Christian !
Can you believe a world religious leader would say such a thing about someone.
Trump should have asked the judgmental Pope if he thought the phedophile priests and the one that protected them were Christians.

Coming from the same Pope who covered statues

The staff at the museum covered the statues, and it wasn't the Pope's decision to cover them either.

Any opinions from our devout PolAm friends?

Gone a bit quiet hasn't it ;)
Personally I would question exactly how religious Trump is in the first place.
Strangely enough he seems to have gotten more religious while on the campaign trail ;)

Not that I am a PolAm, but I don't think there was anything wrong with what the Pope said about Trump.
God forbid he gets into power because his policy will be divide and conquer, and there's nothing christian about that.
On a lighter note, can you seriously see that guy sitting down with world leaders for a discussion? He's an absolute buffoon!

Yosemite
19 Feb 2016  #359

Trump should have asked the judgmental Pope if he thought the phedophile priests and the one that protected them were Christians.

That wouldn't really be like for like though, Pope Francis is talking about Trump as an independent person not the Republican party as a whole.

johnny reb
19 Feb 2016  #360

God forbid he gets into power because his policy will be divide and conquer

This is exactly what Obama has done. Obama gas turned Blacks against whites, Blacks against the police, hetro against homo, Christians against Muslim, Poor against the rich............Trump couldn't do any worse then what we have had for the last seven years.
Trump will tell Europe to take a hike and start building up their own militaries because the United States has a wall to build and can't afford to protect Europe any longer.
The UK, France, Germany are all rich countries now and can start ponying up to protect their own.

In all fairness the media took the Pope's words and played on them for sensationalism kind of like Harold, delph and jon do on the PF.
The Pope's exact words were more like, "People that build walls are not Christians, we should be building bridges, not walls."
So the media took the Pope's words out of context.
Trump came back with nothing but kind words for and about the Pope.

Tomorrow is the South Carolina vote which Trump will win then on to Nevada which Trump should win.
Hillary's firewall Nevada is looking bad for her as she is slowly sliding down down down.
She loses Nevada (hopefully) it will be all over for her except for her new orange jump suit with numbers instead of her name on it.
