They will quietly "borrow" another trillion from Social Security for military spending just like the administrations before, then claim that they don't have

Like Medicaid, WICC's and a dozen other welfare programs are sucking out of Social Security at the present that was not available when I grew up as a child and went without. All my life I paid into Social Security so when I retired I would have a supplement to my income. Sorry to say that I have given up more than half what I would have got if these other programs that were never intended to draw from so consequently I have been screwed twice, once as a little kid going without and now retired giving more than half my Social Security benefits to people that have never paid a nickel in.
Similar to the proposal for healthcare that some brilliant Republican brains came up with

Ah Obama Care was a brilliant Muslim Democrat's idea designed to fail which it will. Hide and watch.
"Old? Sick? No money? Bad luck, grandpa".

You just described Obama Care perfectly but try to tell the people who voted for him, TWICE ! (Uninformed low educated voters)
And generations ago old grandpa saved up for old age by living within his means.
Since that generations have lived beyond their means and blown their parents inheritance's so there is nothing left for them to fall back on in old age.
Obama has created more debt then all he rest of the presidents in history. You, your kids and your grand kids will never be able to repay it.
With that said listen this time, Nothing is free, SOMEBODY eventually has to pay for it.
Something socialist can't get thru their pee brains for some reason.
Well pay day is here buddy world wide and the banana's are just about ready to hit the fan.
All the people on the gravy train (who depend on welfare for a living) will be taken out in the first wave.
It's gonna get bloody and every man for himself because the preppers aren't gonna show any mercy.
Trump gets in we have a chance of avoiding this.
Hillary gets in it will be speeded up world wide.
That is when all the atheist will suddenly find the Lord, that is the best part.

Obama low educated voters

Tut tut.

gallup.com/poll/139880/election-polls-presidential-vote-groups.aspx

Romney won among those with only grade school education, while Obama crushed Romney among voters with a postgrad degree.

Johnny, we know we've got to pay for it. Someone of us would simply that it be sooner rather than later:-) Every generation's been saddled with some sort of debt, that's the nature of the beast!

Obama Care

I've said it on several occasions already: Obamacare has some serious flaws (litigation the worst of them), but if Republicans and Democrats would do their job for once and get their act together, it could be turned into something really useful and great. Instead they are fighting each other and nothing gets done as always. What I will never understand is that Republican voters want to voluntarily give up their right to health insurance and go back to the old system where insurances can deny you coverage or kick you out of the contract.

Nothing is free, SOMEBODY eventually has to pay for it.

Very true. Where do you think the money will come from that Trump wants to spend on the military, the war on terrorism and the southern border? That's right: China (and the fields I mentioned in #415). And who has to pay for it? That's right: you and I and our children and grandchildren...

Where do you think the money will come from that Trump wants to spend on the military

If we don't have a secure country then we have no country.
Just about every country out there would love to give America a black eye.
We seemed to have had a balanced budget before Obama came into office with twice the military we have now so the question should be, "what happened to the money Obama cut out of the military's budget ?"
You seem to have some hang up about our military for some reason.
If it wasn't for our military we would be a third world country and most likely be speaking Chinese.
Quit being so naïve about why we need to build up our military like President Trump is going to do.
Tell me why you think our Muslim President Hussain Obama intentionally diminished our military ?
Why do you think President Hussain got rid of all of our superior military Generals ?
Why do you think President Hussain Obama lifted the sanctions on Iran, gave them 500 billion in cash and allowed them to enrich uranium ?
Why do you think President Hussain is smuggling Muslims into America at night under cover from the media ?
Why do you think President Hussain visits hostile Mosques in the U.S. ?
Why do you think President Hussain is allowing people from countries that we are at war with into our country ?
Hang on Buddy as we are soon in for a VERY bumpy ride in this country and you will be thanking God that we have a strong military.
(And I don't think God is very happy with the people in America right now)
Connect the dots egg head, that's why President Trump will deport all the high risk Muslims and build up our military for what is coming.
And I sure the hell hope you are not counting on the 200 troops the rest of NATO is made up of.
And once N.Korea attacks our west Coast you can bet China, Iran, and Russia will follow.
That's why president Trump is going to build up our military like never before.
In the end it will be an "Old? Sick? No money? Bad luck, grandpa". Mark my words.

For one when you turn 65years old you get your medicare which picks up 80% of your medical bills.
You sound like you are worried about the other 20% that will come out of your inheritance.
You want to steal from the military budget and make it available so some 90year old in an old people's home can get a new heart or liver transplant with socialized medicine so they can live to b 91.
Privatized health care is much more affordable, you can choose your own doctor and it costs less than Obama Care.
And let me repeat because it seems you missed it, Obama Care was designed to fail ! Mark my words.
Give President Trump eight years in office to straighten out President Hussain's 13 trillion dollar debt he put us in.
America now has a 20 trillion dollar debt which is mathematically IMPOSSIBLE to EVER pay off.

Looks like Trump has Nevada so it is really all about Rubio coming in second.
Jeb Bush dropped out with most of Jeb's supporters turning to support Rubio which should help him.
Then on to Super Tuesday March 1.
The race immediately becomes more expensive heading into Super Tuesday, when campaigns will need the resources to compete in the 11 states awarding delegates that day.
Hopefully the candidates with no hope of winning will drop out to give Rubio a chance to over take the Donald.
After that they will be heading to the southern States with Florida being one of them where Rubio is a favorite.
On the other side President Hussain Obama refuses to indict Hillary of her crimes.

Before we continue, please take a look at this chart and tell me why we need to increase the military budget:

Ouch. Nearly $650 billion a year on military spending.

No wonder that military-industrial complex so desperately wants to find a new warzone.

johnny reb

then I suggest that you and your kind are part of the problem and you may well become the unwitting victim(s

With all due respect Lyzko I feel the same way about you.
You are the unwitting victim.
Let me share what "me and my kind" think is the problem compared to what "you and your kind" think is the problem financially in America.
Trump wants to audit the Feds and most likely will.
Bernie Sanders was the deciding vote to reject Senator Rand Paul's bill to do just that, audit the Feds.
Now Trumps wants to do just that by calling for greater transparency on monetary policy-making from the Fed, which is sorely needed due to the central bank's ability to create bubbles and usher in depressions through endless money creation known as "quantitative easing" that only leads to mass inflation and the ultimate destruction of the dollar.
In other words, while Socialist Bernie Sanders complains about the "rich" destroying the economy, (to buy votes) it's actually the Federal Reserve and Trump is targeting the Feds and big banks.
Seems you are mixed up by Liberal low information propaganda that it is the rich who are the bad guys.
The top 1% pay over 90% of the taxes in this country yet you poor that pay no taxes complain that the rich are not paying enough. Really ?
Have you ever had a poor man offer you a job ?
The Blacks and the poor should hate President Hussain for making them welfare slaves to the government.
Seems if you really wanted to improve your life style you would be voting GOP.
Another point while we are on the subject of America's youth crop failures financially is that it is our parents fault too.
They worked their fingers to the bone so their kids wouldn't have to work so hard and they saved and where successful by hard work.
The kids today in America are so damn spoiled by being given huge inheritances that it has handi capped them in knowing what hard work is.
They expect the world owes them a living by working just 40 hours a week when in reality our folks worked 60 and 70 hours a week to get what they had and there was NO WELFARE back then and they survived.
Now that the generation of spoiled budgetly impaired baby boomers (we want it new and we want it now) have pee'd away all their folks inheritance they are lost and don't even know how to feed themselves more less survive in this economy without being on government welfare.
That's how "me and my kind think".

If you are insinuating that you experienced the 50's I would have to respond with a, "Highly doubtful"......but I did. ;-)
Gotta go back to WORK

Me too, got a couple loads of hay to haul as the stock market is doing nothing this morning.
Can't wait for your explanation but be sure it is on topic relating to Trump and the elections.
I am done listening about FDR and the New Deal.

I watched an interesting documentary earlier about Trump's Boeing 757 - youtube.com/watch?v=EgWVGNmORJs

Regardless of what you think about him, there's a valuable business lesson in there in that attention to detail matters. Poles could learn a *lot* from watching this and understanding why the culture of "oh, it'll be fine" doesn't get the job done.

Lyzko
23 Feb 2016  #436

@Johnny, even that conservative rag "The New York Daily News" bashed Trump this morning, calling him nothing more than dangerous!!

Sometime, I must post my views on the nature of true wealth. It may enlighten you:-)

TheOther
23 Feb 2016  #437

I already did in the post above yours.

You misunderstood what I was saying. The US military spending is already at an unsustainable level (U.S. military expenditures are roughly the size of the next nine largest military budgets around the world, combined. For 2013, see below). How would Trump even be able to significantly increase this budget (to "make America great again") and at the same time build a fence at the southern border? This money has to come from somewhere, so he either has to increase debt, or he has to take away from all the other "unimportant" sectors like infrastructure, education or Social Security and at the same time increase taxes. Something doesn't add up, and this is why I believe that most of what Trump says is a big fat lie.

Maybe he will demand that the rest of the NATO countries start ponying up their share for a change.
They have been enjoying the protection from America for to long now without sacrificing squat like the American tax payers have.
Who you voting for TheOther ?

Countries pay into NATO according to their ability to pay.

Really, how many casualties did the EU countries suffer in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars ?
I have a feeling Trump may scrap NATO and tell Europe good luck.

delphiandomine
24 Feb 2016  #441

Really, how many casualties did the EU countries suffer in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars ?

Wasn't their wars to fight, really.

Both of those wars were fought to feed the American military-industrial machine, not for any other reason.

Having said that, if Trump wins the nomination and then makes it clear that he wants to take America out of pointless wars, he might draw quite a few votes from centrist voters.

johnny reb
24 Feb 2016  #442

Wasn't their wars to fight, really.

That'a weak delph, if one of NATO's counties is attacked ALL NATO countries are "suppose to be" allies.
Since the Taliban attacked the U.S. what happened to the U.S. allies ?
Sending 200 troops is hardly paying into NATO to their ability.
Typical liberal justification.
pointless wars

The Taliban killed over 3,000 innocent Americans, you call that pointless ?
Never mind delph, you aren't worth the effort.
he might draw quite a few votes from centrist voters.

He already has done that.
I saw a sign at his rally today that said: I would rather live in a land of "hurt feelings" than enslaved by Political Correctness.
All I could think of was how that fit the Liberal members here.

TheOther

Sending 200 troops is hardly paying into NATO to their ability.

Germany for example sent 4200 troops who were stationed in Afghanistan until 2014, if I recall correctly. The US has 9800 there at the moment with a planned drop to 5800 in 2017.

Why the hell can't we stay on thread

Are you a little confused today, or what? YOU were the one who brought up the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Stay on topic next time, pinhead... :)

"Private Contractors"

That's a business decision.

Having said that, if Trump wins the nomination and then makes it clear that he wants to take America out of pointless wars, he might draw quite a few votes from centrist voters.

Trump is the only centrist in the race. Sanders is left of center, Clinton is right of center and Rubio and Cruz are robots for the billionaires.

delphiandomine
24 Feb 2016  #447

Bloody hell. Trump won in Nevada, and won big. Cruz is finished - he couldn't get the job done in South Carolina or Nevada, and somehow, he won nearly 50% of the Latino vote. I have no idea how he's doing this, but it seems that voters are willing to look past the racist nonsense for a candidate that clearly has no intention of following the path that the GOP wants to follow.

Most interestingly, the rules for the Republican Party now state that any challenger seeking to win the nomination must win at least 8 states. If Cruz and Rubio stay in the race, they're simply going to divide the anti-Trump voters between themselves.

I don't see Trump beating Clinton, but Trump vs Sanders would be one of the best elections ever.

Latest odds :

Trump 4/9
Rubio 2/1
Cruz 33/1

For the Democrats...

Clinton 1/6
Sanders 9/2

Seems pretty clear to me that unless Cruz withdraws before Super Tuesday, it's going to be Trump vs Clinton.

johnny reb
24 Feb 2016  #448

The primaries are over as Trump is winning by such large margins.
Neither Rubio or Cruz has a chance now the way I see it.
Even if Cruz and the rest of the losers got out and Rubio got their votes Rubio still couldn't beat Trump.
and somehow, he won nearly 50% of the Latino vote.

Because the Latino's (some of the hardest working people I know) that are here working legally know that Trump is right.
Trump told the illegal ones to go back to Mexico and apply correctly for a visa and they would be welcomed back.
It is finally sinking in because President Trump does not deal with Political Correctness and speaks their language.
Trump also wants minimum wage raised in all States to $10 per hour (40zloty) which is twice what many of the migrant workers are making now. The hard working Mexicans are the furthest thing from Socialists. That's why delph.
I don't see Trump beating Clinton, but Trump vs Sanders would be one of the best elections ever.

delph there is a good chance Clinton will be indicted before the elections.......really.
And if not The Trumpster will tear her apart for a win. Socialist Crazy Bernie is a joke and the only reason his name is still their is because of the young people and welfare people that want more free stuff.
Trump is the only centrist in the race.

Let me tell the truth for you now.
Trump = Centrist
Rubio = Conservative
Cruz = ultra Conservative
Clinton = Socialist
Sanders = ultra Socialist
You want to see fur fly just wait until The Donald gets into his first debate with Hillary for the general election.
He will have her in tears.......if she is not convicted and sent to prison first.

delphiandomine
24 Feb 2016  #449

Even if Cruz and the rest of the losers got out and Rubio got their votes Rubio still couldn't beat Trump.

That's by no means certain. Trump might have done astonishingly well in Nevada, but Republican voters could well back Rubio over Trump in a two horse race. Looking at the odds...

Clinton beats Trump - 11/8
Trump beats Clinton - 7/2
Clinton beats Rubio - 5/1
Rubio beats Clinton - 7/1

Voters know that Trump won't beat Clinton, but Rubio has a chance.

If Cruz doesn't back out of the campaign now, Trump has it.

TheOther
24 Feb 2016  #450

Neither Rubio or Cruz has a chance now the way I see it.

If Cruz gets out of the race early enough, his voters would support Rubio. That's the only way to beat Trump. Trump will lose against Clinton though, because it is bleeding obvious that he cannot keep his promises.
