2016 Presidential Elections in the US

I know, the middle aged blacks hate the youth. They fought so hard to gain rights in this country and this is what they get.

That would make these middle age blacks teenagers growing up through the Reagan era and the punks being just young teens when Obama became president seven and a half years ago. Hmmmm, is there a possible connection.
Have you EVER seen a man cause so much division in your life !
Why can't these progressive liberals get it that their ways is not working and is destroying this country into a third world country ???WHY ?
Once they took prayer out of our public schools I knew it was going to be down hill from there.
The kids today are not being taught the Bill of Rights or the Constitution or for that matter the TRUE history of our country.
They have been so dumbed down by the liberal teachers brainwashing that they now have accepted the freedoms that they have lost, the loss of their privacy and that there are 52 States.
I read that the schools in Detroit don't even have a 50% graduation rate.
The only hope we have to straighten this mess out is to vote Trump in and have him implement the draft again.
Make it mandatory two years (18-20) both male and female, take their cell phones and drugs away, and teach them some respect and responsibility and how to say "yes sir" and "no sir".
What ya think Lyzko, your 18 year old daughter being in the U.S. Army with some black boys from the hood. :-))

I read that the schools in Detroit don't even have a 50% graduation rate

In Chicago, 50% of black males aged 18 to 24 are neither in school nor employed. For Hispanics that number is 20% - despite the fact that many of them don't even speak fluent English.

Why is it that so many Hispanics are hard working and are able to eke out a living without relying solely on the government, despite not knowing the language or even having citizenship, yet the blacks are unable to do this? Same with the Indians, Asians, and Europeans that come here - you don't see them committing crimes in record numbers and selling drugs on each corner of their ethnic neighborhoods.

It's not even a joke like there are miles and miles of open air drug and prostitution markets on the west side of Chicago - every resident knows this. These neighborhoods like Lawndale, Englewood, and Garfield park use to actually occupied by Czech, Poles, and Russians around the 40's and 50's. The best thing to come out of this neighborhood lately is Chief Keef - and not even he stayed - he lives in the suburb right to mine! He made money rapping about selling drugs in his old neighborhood and what did he do as soon as he got paid? Moved to literally on the opposite side of the city!

I really do believe that Donald Trump would create more jobs and cut down on this ridiculous welfare system. Hillary - not a chance! She'll help the rich (that's why she's keeping capital gains tax for investments under 1 at the exact same rate) because they help her campaigns and make the welfare state even larger, enact amnesty, help illegals (despite repeated flip flops on this topic) to broaden the Democrat's voter base.

More illegals and more people on welfare means more votes for the Dems. What's going to happen when we get to the point where 25% (or more) of the country is on some sort of government aid? Already 1/5 Americans are on food stamps?

What's going to happen when we get to the point where 25% (or more) of the country is on some sort of government aid?

Oh we are way past that point Adrain years ago.
In the fourth quarter of 2011, 49.2 percent of Americans received benefits from one or more government programs, according to data released Tuesday by the Census Bureau.
This why Trump told the Blacks that they should be mad as hell at Obama for making them "slaves" to the government welfare programs.
And it is not just the Blacks.
Did you know that more White people receive food stamps then Blacks.
Sad but the people in this country do not even know how to feed themselves anymore and it is getting worse every day.
They don't have money for food but god forbid to give up their cable t.v.,cell phone and cigarettes so they would.

Oh we are way past that point Adrain years ago.

I know I feel stupid now haha. I was just referring to food stamps alone but if you factor in all the different progrmas - yeah, it's WAY higher. When Mitt Romney said that 47% percent of Americans don't pay taxes - well if he just changed his words to 'federal income tax' , it would be entirely true - give or take a few percent. It depends what you government programs you factor in though - unemployment, welfare, TANF, VA benefits (I think this group definetely deserves it as vets are treated like trash in the US - also it's only about 3 million people so very small in the grand scheme of things) the figures range from 35% to 49% :
cnsnews.com/commentary/terence-p-jeffrey/354-percent-109631000-welfare

The 153,323,000 total benefit-takers at the end of 2012, said the Census Bureau, equaled 49.5 percent of the population. The 150,026,000 taking benefits other than veterans' benefits equaled about 48.5 percent of the population.

It is a reasonable bet, however, that with the implementation of Obamacare - with its provisions expanding Medicaid and providing health-insurance subsidies to people earning up to 400 percent of poverty - that if we have not already surpassed that point (not counting those getting veterans benefits) we soon will.

There is more people getting benefits in the US than the entire population of Russia! Even worse, more people are on welfare than work full time:

In 2012, according to the Census Bureau, there were 103,087,000 full-time year-round workers in the United States (including 16,606,000 full-time year-round government workers). Thus, the welfare-takers outnumbered full-time year-round workers by 6,544,000.

Did you know that more White people receive food stamps then Blacks.

Yes because the population of whites is far larger. Blacks represent about 13% of the population but account for nearly 40% of welfare recipients.

I'm sorry but I really feel that unless Trump wins, I don't think there's a future for an ambitious Pole in the US. With Hillary's capital gains tax plan (I'm sorry I keep going on about this, but it really looks like she's going to win unfortunately and her tax plan will keep people in financial servitude for the rest of their lives) it's going to be pretty much impossible to get to the point where you have 'F**k you money'

Guess I better start building my credit up and buy some fancy things before I move. I'll let you guys know when I'm having my brand new Rolex's, 4K TV's, etc. 25% off sale.

Blacks represent about 13% of the population but account for nearly 40% of welfare recipients.

How do they know? Is it possible in the US to mark in the papers the skin colour of the recipients so they would know who is black and who is not? It seems so since they are able to tell you that 40% of the recipients are black and 60% of them are white.

AdrianK9
29 Mar 2016  #1057

How do they know?

The Census Department (ACS, 'means tested assistance programs'), BLS, Department of Commerce and US Department of Social Services as well as other departments compile these statistics. Some could be from interviews, survery, or simply data put in by the employee based on certain 'characteristics' of the individual receiving government assistance.

Much of the statistics are compiled by the government and easily accessible on their websites.

Here's a quick one from the census.gov: it describes in the 4th paragraph how their data is compiled

census.gov/newsroom/press-releases/2015/cb15-97.html

This one actually states more blacks than whites participated in 'means tested assistance' ( Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), General Assistance (GA), Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, and housing assistance) but doesn't include unemployment: 17 million whites vs 41 million blacks in 2012

census.gov/content/dam/Census/library/publications/2015/demo/p70-141.pdf

Also note it says: This analysis is limited to respondents who were in the sample for the entire 48-month period and represents the population at the end of the period.

So this isn't even accounting for people who have been on welfare/tanf/etc. for over 4 years.

I think a chant like 'Pants Up! Don't Loot!' might do the job.

Trump needs to think of a way to counter the BLM terrorists...

I've been amazed at how they've gotten away with all the **** they pull with that crap.
(It's "considered" RACIST if you reply with "ALL LIVES MATTER" ! ) IMAGINE THAT"!.... damn.
That crap started in Ferguson, Mo., with the "Gentle Giant" .... and got ramped up with nothing but LIES on what really happened there. Nothing but BULLIES getting away with Murder.
Then, the black neighborhoods there in Ferguson, were soon complaining that the cops (yes, even the black cops)... wouldn't come into their 'Hoods' when they called about crime, etc. !
GEEE REALLY ? ! ... go figure!

And remember the Terrorist Bomber / Weather Underground /...from the '60's:
Bill Ayers, and his 'sweetie' Bernadette Dorn ?
They planted bombs and detonated them at the Capital in D.C.
A New York City Police precinct bldg. (killed a cop) and several other locations.
They caught the bastards but they "got off" on a "technicality" !
This would be the same Bill Ayers that "introduced" Barack Hussein Obama to Chicago Politics in his Living Room for the 1st time !
Obama called him.... "Just a guy I know in the neighborhood !" ...when asked about it !
Oh yea...well...someone broke into his house in Chicago... and guess who Ayers called !
GUESS ! Yup... you got-it ! .... the POLICE ! duh....
KARMA..... can't come QUICK enuf in my book.
Trump will hurry it along.

The US has always been a nation of extremes! I too feel that there's some inherent fallacy between "Black Lives Matter" vs. (the more inclusive) "All Lives Matter" and why should the latter negate the former, as if to say that by including everyone, blacks will feel marginalized?? It simply doesn't make sense! Here, I'm of the opinion that the far left is as "wrong" as the far right:-)

Obama

Obama just released a bunch of drug dealing, tax-evading criminals. Many sources say he has already pardoned/commuted the sentences of more prisoners than the last 6 presidents combined.

Let's not forget Willy - he pardoned the Puerto Rican secessionist terrorists that were responsible for dozens of murders and bombings throughout NYC. Of course, this was so that Hillary gained more votes within the large Puetro Rican community in NY.

I forgot which leftist politician said it, but I do think that people should have a certain income and level of responsibility before they breed. Instrusive? Extremely. However, there are way too many welfare queens and ghetto muffins. If you can't feed 'em, don't breed 'em. Aside from the atrocity that is Common Core, the main reason why I don't have kids is because I can't afford to provide a better life than I had when I was a kid. I make good money for my age sure, but I want to be able to be able to provide education, not have my wife work (I don't trust most day cares, and the elite ones cost a small fortune), and all the other things that a child should deserve. I don't want him to live in a place where there's rats chewing through cereal boxes.

The media is now discussing how Trump said that it is partially the woman's fault if she gets an illegal abortion... last time I checked, isn't it the perpetrators of the crime that are supposed to be innocent to proven guilty? when a guy robs a store, no one says that the landlord is partially at fault for charging him too much rent.. If the woman knows she's doing something illegal - go to a state or country where it is legal! People purposely on vacation to Amsterdam so they can smoke weed, eat mushrooms, and spend time with hookers legally - why would abortion be any different?

The media is now discussing how Trump said that it is partially the woman's fault if she gets an illegal abortion

That's not quite how it's being reported in the UK.
From my understanding, Trump said that women who undergo illegal abortions should be subject to some form of punishment.
There is nothing 'partial' about that. It is blaming the woman for having an abortion.
He then backtracked on his comments after much criticism, to say that only the person performing the abortion should be punished.
So much for the man who won't bow to political correctness.
When push comes to shove, he did a complete about turn and did exactly that.

It's the old pre-Roe v. Wade mentality; men aka only Big Government has control over a woman's body!! Now there's a classic double standard if I ever heard one:-) Presumably Mr. Trump also believes that a doctor has control over a woman's health as was the case prior to around 1960, when a doctor (usually male) could decide whether or not to inform a woman of a life-threatening illness, opting instead to tell the husband. If the woman in question were either single, divorced or widowed, then she was simply out of luck.

Seems the Donald's turning back the clock to some of the less pleasant aspects of pre-80's America.

When push comes to shove, he did a complete about turn and did exactly that.

He did such an about turn that almost everyone is picking up on it as an example of him changing his political position within hours simply because of an adverse reaction.

Either way, it looks very much as if the Republicans are finally getting behind Cruz, albeit very reluctantly. He's got no chance against Clinton, but it seems that they regard a beating by Clinton as being preferable to Trump winning the nomination and hurting their chances massively in the other elections in November.

Even more will leave if Clinton gets elected.
It is men aka only Big Government has control over everyone's body, not just women.
They have the right to inject foreign fluid into your body (flu shot) or they can refuse your employment or you from being a patient in a hospital.
And it is not just your body, it is your life that they have control over.
The people have had a belly full of having their freedoms stripped away slowly and that is why Trump is so popular.
He is not one of the good old boys in the Washington mafia scratching each others backs at the expense of the people's freedoms.
Trump is standing for what the people that pay the bills in this country and what they want and not would the Politically Correct want.
The American people (steel workers, farmers, factory workers, etc.) have had ENOUGH watching America being destroyed by these progressive libtards ways that are not working and so is Trump.
Trump is going to stop this nonsense and make what made America great, great again.
Europe is jealous and wants to turn America into the mess Europe has turned into.
That is WHY Trump is a threat to Europe, Wall Street, Goldman Sachs, the Clinton Crime family war lobbyists.........
No way will they let Trump become president to restore our American values that made this country the greatest ever in the world.

The American people (steel workers, farmers, factory workers, etc.)...

American working class people <> billionaire Trump

Don't kid yourself. Trump is so far removed from the little people that he claims to represent, that he doesn't even know about their daily struggle to make ends meet. And the steel and factory workers you've mentioned are mostly voting for Sanders or Clinton anyway. By the way: have you ever thought about who will manage and lead Trump's companies should he ever be elected president? I'd bet he's more concerned about his businesses than about the country.

I've heard some people are considering leaving the U.S. if he's elected.

I'm definitely not. I have hope in the US if he wins.

Even more will leave if Clinton gets elected.

Yes! So will many other young people that don't have kids and an education as well as those who want to save and invest their money - meaning the upper middle class and the richer people who pay the vast majority of taxes are going to leave. We're already seeing a huge drain in Illinois because of the ridiculous property taxes. If Hillary wins, she's basically going to turn the entire US into a Detroit, Flint, and south side Chicago. Nearly 50% of people don't pay federal income tax - imagine what's going to happen in a few more years. There may truly one day be a race or class war once there simply isn't enough funds at all to support all the free loaders... the poor will attack the few taxpayers and rip them apart... perhaps that's when the US will truly become a socialist country. It's already heading in that direction day by day

I have hope in the US if he wins.

Trump is our only hope.
All the rest of them are the same old same old offering more of the same.
We haven't had a president running this country since the great Ronald Reagan.
And the steel and factory workers you've mentioned are mostly voting for Sanders or Clinton anyway.

Doubtful but if that is what you want to believe who am I to tell you how wrong you are.
have you ever thought about who will manage and lead Trump's companies should he ever be elected president?

I would think the same people that are doing it for him now.
Besides, since you are not voting you really don't have any say about it anyways.

delphiandomine

All the rest of them are the same old same old offering more of the same.

That's why I'm rooting for him to win the nomination. I don't believe in his words, but the....how to say, the establishment since 1988 has been totally entrenched and Cruz/Clinton just represents more of the same old, same old.

I don't have much faith in American presidents anymore (and they seem powerless against the CIA and other shadowy agencies) - but at least Trump might be relied on to tell it how it is.

I still think he should declare now that he only intends to run once (like Ventura did in Minnesota) so he can spend 4 years focusing solely on his Presidency and not re-election.

delph let me repeat, "They will not let him win no matter what."
He would step on to many well established toes and expose way to much of their dirt.
He would undo all of Obama's unconstitutional executive orders
He would do away with Obama Care
He would throw Hillary in prison
He would expose the Federal Reserve
He would build the Wall
He would level the trade tariffs with China
He would expose Wall Street
He would dismantle Goldman Sach
In short he would step on to many high roller toes so NO WAY are they going to let him be president.
In fact after watching and listening to him closely I don't think he really wants to be president.

Well, wouldn't that be convenient? Make all opposing views simply disappear. Ain't gonna happen, old chap. By supporting crazies like Cruz or Trump, you guys make sure that none of your candidates will return to the White House for the next eight years or more. Pretty stupid, if you ask me. I will hold you personally responsible if Sanders wins the Democratic nomination and becomes the next president... :)

Make all opposing views simply disappear

If you want to have a say then do something about it and vote otherwise bla bla bla bla.
There may truly one day be a race or class war once there simply isn't enough funds at all to support all the free loaders...

According to a brand new study that was just released by Pew Charitable Trusts, household spending increased by 14 percent between 2004 and 2014, but median household income decreased by 13 percent during that same time period.
Both of those figures were adjusted for inflation.
What this means is that the cost of living has steadily gone up, but our incomes have gone down.
In fact approximately one-third of all Americans don't even make enough money to pay for the basic necessities at this point.
The middle class is being squeezed like never before and very few of our leaders seem to care.
Seems like they are encouraging a class war and a race war.

TheOther

If you want to have a say then do something about it and vote

I told you before that I don't believe that any of the candidates (be it GOP or Dems) is capable or experienced enough to be the leader of the free world. No matter who will be elected, he or she will mess up the country even further. I for one hope that the GOP will split into two. Maybe one of the parts will turn into something like the Liberals of Europe (which are certainly not liberal in the American sense!!!) and become an alternative for the future.

Clinton is, but she is very much the candidate of the "same old, same old".

It seems to me that the GOP's best shot now is to rally behind Trump, tell him to be himself (not the fake version that makes up crap about abortion and so on to cater for the usual lunatic GOP voters) and to and to run on his merits as a canddiate that isn't too badly tainted by years in politics.

Clinton's the most darned near "presidential" of the whole bunch! Face it, Sanders (for whom I'm not voting, incidentally) is just too pie in the sky for me and the other side's simply too dogmatically divorced from reality to even consider:-)

At least Clinton and Sanders are talking about real people with real issues, and not projections of a US without NATO, abortion or any of the other stuff most Americans have been fighting for over a half century.

johnny reb

Clinton's the most darned near "presidential" of the whole bunch!

However the road she took to get there is crime ridden.
A list so long that the mods would crop it if I posted half of her sins.
At least Clinton and Sanders are talking real issues of abortion most Americans have been fighting for over a half century.

Half century (50 years) now they have been told that abortion is murder and the libtards don't want to accept that.
Those aren't real people, those are fake people who don't want to be "One Nation Under God" .......the foundation of America.
So they can talk that issue for the next 50 years and it will still be murder so why waste the time and not move onto something that might make the country greater like eliminating NATO to save the country trillions of dollars a year, to protect countries that hates us, so America could have affordable health care or something to relieve the burden. Like a nice new WALL or prosecute
those responsible for the murders in Beghazi and Libya and Syria.
And being Trump would prosecute her and get rid of Obama Care and build a wall to keep out drugs and terrorists I would think he would be the best choice.
