2016 Presidential Elections in the US

Naw, don't smoke the stuff anymore Lyzko.
How about you, do you partake in the herbage ?
I see several States have it on the November ballot to legalize for recreational use.
I wonder what Trumps views are on it.

Clinton Foundation Got $100M From 'Blood Minerals' Firm
A little known Swedish-Canadian oil and mining conglomerate human rights groups have repeatedly charged produces "blood minerals" is among the Clinton Foundation's biggest donors, thanks to a $100 million pledge in 2007, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation has found.
I wonder what "favor" was expected in return.

Actually Lyzko, I just want to see America become a great country again. Having totally open borders, lifting the ban on HIV infected migrants, bringing in tens of thousands of welfare freeloading somalis, sponsoring generational welfare in the black community, not funding pensions or investing in infrastructure, teaching common core in schools as well as the way just about everything in the us is handled is not the path to success. I'm not a politician, but I have a degree in international business and I can tell you our trade deals and the way the economy is being run is a disaster.

Dismantling the fed alone, which the founding fathers fought so hard to prevent from being established as they saw what it did to England, would immediately solve a lot of issues. The fed is the inflation, boom and bust zionist controlled monster that dictates our economy and has a lot of influence on the imf, world bank, and even the eu.

Consider this. In 1913 only the top 1% of income earners paid taxes. If you made 16k a year, which would be like 350k today, you had to pay a federal income tax. Guess what their tax rate was? 1%... Yes the top 1% had a 1% income tax rate and the government was solvent. Since 1913, adjusted for cpi, the dollar has fallen over 96% in value.

Under the Great President Ronald Reagan we had trickle down economics that worked great.
Under the gang we have now we have trickle down entitlements that isn't working so great.
The Donald is our only hope to put an end to these entitlements which will force these people to contribute to our society instead of bellying up to the public trough to exist.

Under Reagan the Great, more people became impoverished than ever before since Hoover The Magnificent,

Come on, pal!! Open your eyes and smell the coffee grinds, buster. Under Reagan, you had the virtual disappearance of school lunch programs for millions (such as never before since the Great Depression), bosses becoming greedier than ever, unleashing the bully with unbridled fury, massacres such as those of the Red River Killer Gary Ridgeway, an ordinary, small-town guy whose sole "crime" was not being rich or keeping up with Silicon Valley. He finally flips one day (though no one who knew him claims to have seen it coming, HA!!) and goes on a rampage against young women and girls before getting caught.

And this is the kind of thing you're proud of, Johnny???!

johnny reb
25 May 2016  #1776

Yes, very proud of how Reagan stimulated the economy when it was needed the most.
you had the virtual disappearance of school lunch programs for millions

Oh save me from your B.S. or did you mean the FREE lunch programs.
Well the FREE lunch programs and food stamps are back and just look at the fat little losers because of it.
If they were forced to buy their own food they wouldn't have money for I-phones, leased cars, cable t.v., tattoo's, air conditioning, drugs, bling bling so in essence people like me are paying for all of that for them so they can have more then the average working person.
You just don't want to get it do you.
Trump will teach these lazy asses how to feed themselves in short order by cutting off the drain to our countries pocketbook.
I can't wait.

As Hitler had millions killed physically, brutally, with EQUAL brutality, it seems you too would allow millions to die...... the good ol' American way, by attrition!!!

Republicans have the wrong slant on life. Some of us are average, some of us not. Prior to Reagan, no sane sentient being would have been stupid or thoughtless enough to ask someone down on their luck, "So? What aren't you a millionaire?" Some were, plenty weren't and that was it. The Average Joe had as much damn right to live his modest existence according to his own comfortable, single, daily routine as some industrialist with 3.2. kids, living the good life in the burbs (or better). Each led his own life and was content as such. As long as this Joe wasn't an unnecessary drain or burden on society, so be it, he was fine with his lot and so was Uncle Sam.

The Dems and the Reps have done a dirty tango together for far too long and it seems the only candidate missing this election is an old-fashioned Ross Perot-style INDEPENDENT to shake things up.

Trump ain't independent, not from where I sit:-)

The whole war on drugs was a joke though.. and remains so...it was coke and crack in the 80s, then pills and meth, and now it's heroin that's pure enough to be snorted resulting in unprecedented hardcore addiction amongst white surbanites.

I really don't think a huge wall would reduce the drug traffic but it would certainly put a halt to much of the illegal immigration and that's good enough for me.

I am so sick of people getting their panties in a twist arguing that a human is not illegal, a human is a citizen of the world, and mexicans complaining about trumps walls... yet no one bats an eye at the fact that Mexico has a very secure border with Guatemala and is very hard on illegal immigration. It was hard for me to get a short stay visa when I lived in Mexico for a few months yet we hand out green cards, amnesty, and asylums like it's Christmas for economic migrants. Obama even lifted the ban on allowing HIV infected people migrating to the us.

The Berlin Wall eventually showed major chinks in the armor and finally fell, the DMZ might not last into the next decade (if South Korean sources are accurate on this), so a wall between US and Mexico is going to be different?

Don't think so:-)

AdrianK9
25 May 2016  #1780

so a wall between US and Mexico is going to be different?

The Berlin wall separated the Soviet world from the west. The DMZ will last as long as there's a Kim family member in charge and the Commies reign supreme in N. Korea - which I don't see any reason why this would suddenly change in 10 years (unless maybe Clinton gets involved and turns it into even more of a failed state ruled by factions and militias). A border between two democratic countries is nothing unreasonable - in fact, most countries around the world have defined borders to protect the citizens.

As the saying goes, 'Good fences make good neighbors'

CNN and Washington Post reports on Hillary's email woes:

A wall though will as much prevent Mexicans from scaling it as the border guards deterred countless East Germans from jumping over the Berlin Wall, usually at great personal cost!

No, a wall is both too extreme and economically impractical. To expect the Mexicans to then foot the bill is though typically Trump; short-sighted and wasteful.

To expect the Mexicans to then foot the bill is though typically Trump; short-sighted and wasteful.

Actually it wouldn't be that difficult. If you tax remittances, increase taxes on businesses, and apply pressure in general there's a good chance they'd give in and pay for it. The US is far more powerful than Mexico. We could win a trade war without an issue.

A wall though will as much prevent Mexicans from scaling it

According to Trump's speeches, he will make it so tall that it will be pretty much impossible to scale. If you build it like a wall in prison - make it extremely tall and put a bunch of barbed wire, it will certainly dissuade a lot of people from trying.

border guards deterred countless East Germans from jumping over the Berlin Wall

Not too many actually jumped over - to go from East Germany to West the people living in the Satellite nations would go about other means rather than just merely running and hopping over the fence as it was a very heavily protected border. Not to the same extent as the DMZ but similar - no North Korean goes into South Korea through the DMZ - it's pretty much impossible (they go through the north, into China, then go to a S. Korean embassy in Thailand or some other country). I do know some Germans would basically like hang glide into Germany, or use a sort of zip line, while some Poles would hijack a plane and force it to land.

I don't understand what the issue of protecting a country's border is. We're a sovereign country and we have the right to protect our border - in the same way that Mexico protects its border with Guatemala - yet I don't hear any criticism of Mexico's border with Guatemala or Mexico's strict immigration policies. Poland has a pretty fortified border with Belarus and Kaliningrad as well...

Protecting our national economy's a no-brainer, guys! The question remains, is a physical barrier the best way to do it? Walls have all but been tried and usually failed in the long run. Sure, Trump "promises" HIS wall will be invincible. Ulbricht, Honecker & Co. promised the exact same thing and look what happened. Nope, the will to fairness is too strong among the the Mexican people to allow them to kowtow and succumb to US bullying once again!!

But as usual, Trump's in it for the short haul:-)

AdrianK9
25 May 2016  #1784

Nope, the will to fairness is too strong among the the Mexican people to allow them to kowtow and succumb to US bullying once again!!

Fairness? Again, Mexico has a very strong border with Guatemala and a very strict immigration policy. They aren't very kind to illegal Guatemalans in Mexico.

Yet, you don't seem to be complaining about Mexico's not being fair to Guatemalans and calling Mexico's immigration policy 'unfair.'

There is a physical barrier separating Mexico and Guatemala? Why the double standard when the US wishes to protect it's border as well and have a stricter immigration policy? Why is it okay for Mexico to protect it's border but not the US?

Lyzko
25 May 2016  #1785

Adrian, I paint no one as an innocent, I merely contend that, as the GDP of Mexico cannot hold the proverbial candle to that of the US, if the US feels there should be a wall, then let them put their money where there mouth is, plain and simple!

AdrianK9
26 May 2016  #1786

if the US feels there should be a wall,

Well, that is for officials elected to decide. We shall see what happens. It comes down to this:

If Trump wins - wall, far less illegal immigration, deportation of illegals, much stricter immigration policies
If Hillary wins - no wall, more illegal immigration (not only from Mexico either but all of LATAM), amnesty for illegals, more lenient immigration policies

Why just leave it at HIV infected people allowed to come in - let's bring all the diseased people - the people with hepatitis b, the people with malaria, the people with highly contagious diseases too! - let's pay for them to all immigrate here and take advantage of our wonderful tax payer funded medical system for free despite not being citizens and not paying into the system. Then, let's allow them to get free housing, free food, and live off welfare for generations and make other demands like Halal food pantries and Muslim holidays in public schools.

Are not higher taxes in this country deterrent enough for any south of the border NOT to want to beat a path to the States?

Taxes serve to support your nation's infrastructure, Johnny! Don't you understand basic economics?

If not for taxes, where would the bridges, highways, schools etc.. come from?

Someone's gotta pay the tab and who more than the citizen as in any other "developed" country aka Northern Europe?

@ILLEGAL Mexicans, porky, ILLEGALS!!!

They don't pay any taxes.

Illegals pay no taxes, they only suck off the welfare system that OUR taxes pay for.
Taxes serve to support your nation's infrastructure, Johnny!

No sh!t Sherlock and the Illegals pay none, do you have a comprehension problem.
You are in education so answer this.
Why is it that the United States spends more tax money on education then any other country yet we fail miserably in the world in education.
Would this be because of incompetent teachers, the teachers union, the common core failure, taking God out of our public schools, giving everyone a trophy where in essence you are rewarding failure and all the rest of the bright idea's by the liberal school programs that are failing miserably ?

AdrianK9
26 May 2016  #1794

What taxes when you are reporting under the poverty line ?

People that make $24k or less receive more of a refund than they pay in taxes - about 9% more than they put in. That's not counting other programs that they would be eligible.

The middle class and wealthy support the rest - people simply don't feel like working.

Would this be because of incompetent teachers,

There are many wonderful teachers - but a good portion simply do not care about education. The one's in private schools tend to be more devoted as they're getting a far smaller salary than their counterparts in public schools - nearly half. A green horn public school teacher makes around $52k a year in Chicago. After trying his or her best for 3-4 years, they will frequently move to the suburbs where the pay is far higher. In some suburbs, average pay for a teacher is well above $100k.

I blame teachers unions, lack of charter schools (something the teachers unions fight so hard against), and most of all - common core, which teaches kids about 'real world' things like a false interpretation of the 2nd amendment, forces students to memorize the 5 pillars and write the shahada in calligraphy (effectively makes you a Muslim convert), teaches children about rappers like Twista and pimps, and even has them learning about infidelity and homosexual relations. Poland's education system is higher than the US - I mean that's just sad with the amount of money and bureacracy that is involved in public schools.

A bunch of states, including Texas, Wisconsin, Alabama, etc., are now suing the Obama administration for forcing them to allow students to use whichever bathroom they 'identify' with.

Taxes serve to support your nation's infrastructure,

Actually a tiny percentage goes to infrastructure and defense - only about 3-5%.

The vast majority of taxes pay for social services - welfare, unemployment, etc. Even defense spending is far less than social services.

Hundreds of billions are spent to house, feed, educate, treat, and support people who do not want to work.

it seems you too would allow millions to die......

It would not be my fault Lyzko, it would be YOU, the liberals, who have handi capped them to the point that they no longer know how to feed themselves like the animals in the zoo who depend on the zoo keepers to feed them every day.
Trust me, if they got hungry enough they would be very happy to do any kind of job to feed themselves.
No more cable t.v., no more high speed internet, no more top shelf foods, no more concerts, no more bling bling, no more professional hair doos and manicures, no more vacations to Disney World, no more of the luxuries in life because THEY ARE NOT IN YOUR BUDGET !
Trump and I both feel very strongly about how to help lazy third and forth generation over qualified welfare get off their dead asses and go get a J.O.B.
Holy Horrors as in REALITY CHECK to the "dead weight" that are a drain to America's pocketbook.
And for the sake of Sanity don't come back with your "poor down on their luck" bleeding heart liberal tear jerking garbage.

How much of the $2.38 trillion for Social Security and Medicare is spent on retired people who paid into the system all their life?

Even defense spending is far less than social services.

See above.
