You are a smart guy, have excellent English language skills in both reading and writing, but you always cite some tabloid style Polish-language press. Why?

I only come to this forum with the WSJ, NYTimes, FT, Reuters, AP, etc. How would you treat me if I posted links to Lenta.ru, MK.ru, RBC.ru, etc?

It's not that I'm not happy with the quality of your sources (which I am not), but I'm more concerned why YOU read that stuff in the first place.

My impression of Polish press is the same as it is of the Ukrainian press. It's quite provincial in both content and tone. Even if we are talking about Gazeta Wyborcza or Rzeczpospolita. Because they can't pay to send anyone anywhere, they spend all their time distilling Western press into Polish translated pieces, and when they try to write something original it ends up being poorly fact-checked and just overall sh!t.

Just read English language stuff since you can read English, and stop rotting your mind with tabloids like Fakt, ONet, and Super Express or whatever you are reading.

Onet is the largest Polish news portal, it's German-owned and the quality of journalism is quite high (especially in the premium section, from which the linked article comes). Also, they are filthy rich and could send a correspondent to Mars if there were any little green men to interview there. :)

I do, thank you. I also read in German, Italian and - though I admit it with certain measure of shame - French (the negative side of coming from an intelligentsia family is that from the young age you see all those foreign language books on the shelves and, being a silly kid, you want to read them).

Anyways, I would appreciate it if next time you refer to the content of the articles that I link without attacking either the source or the length and breadth of my reading. :)

Igor Lutsenko had much to do in leading to the current situation. As a minister in pre-2014 days, as a Maidanist, as a prosecutor (who did nothing to prosecute or identify those who killed the protesters on the Maidan - the catalyst for all subsequent events). He was a key ally of Poroshenko, who did everything to avoid implementing the Minsk Accords - again a key factor in the development of the current crisis. He's also a famous alcoholic.

In general, I'm not very interested in reading what he says. His legendary competence in other matters, makes me not inclined to trust his judgment of anything else. He's a persona non grata to the Zelenskiy regime, and consequently his involvement in the war is on the lowest levels. Whatever he says about 1:1 artillery ratios or grinding up thousands of Russians - he is no position to confirm. Just Lutsenko blabbing as he usually does. All that being said, I have to say it does cause respect that he's there in the first place.

Regarding ONet. It's hard to take seriously a website that has on its front page a headline like this: "Naga sprzątaczka" zdradza kulisy swojej pracy.

@pawian, I don't educate Novichok (because I know he's unreformable). I just debunk his lies and manipulations on important topics - in this way I'm using his posts to educate others.

Someone attacking me personally isn't that important to invest my time and energy in responding to it. In Poland, as in Hungary, the majority of young people are in favor of a nationalist right-wing party that wants out of the EU. Because of this, libtards and globalists complain about the need for curricular reform, once they push it through, or PO quietly does it little by little (if they come to power), it's over.

It has nothing to do with the EU. It is normal in other countries, too - youngsters always oppose the establishment and PIS and most opposition are viewed as such.
