Plus the well pump works so you can flush the toilet not to mention the ignitor in your gas furnace to heat the house.

Oh they are well worth it in my opinion.

Oh I have a flowing artesian well 20 yards from my house on my property with pure ice cold drinking water year around but if the power goes out in the middle of a snow storm with below zero temperatures it's nice to have well water pumped into the house to flush the can with.

I am very blessed to live where I live.

We have the purest and sweetest tasting well water in the world.
Here is a picture of the one I wanted Repeat Richie to stop at on the way up from Chicago to Mackinaw Island.
The source of this one is from freshwater Lake Superior that runs under ground for a hundred miles to purify the water thru sand and limestone.

There is someone at this well constantly filling their empty jugs.
The water tests with ZERO interference of any contaminants or toxins.
This well is a gold mine however the property owner that owns it lets the public have all the ice cold fresh water they want for free.

Thats why I laugh when I see tourists paying a $1.00 a litter at the stores for purified Chicago River water.
