It goes beyond pipes - I'm not allowed to wire a new outlet (wanted an outlet with USB), and was forbidden to install a Google doorbell my dad gave me as a gift. The outlet I can maybe understand, in case I ended up burning down the building, but the doorbell was total BS. It's wireless, working off batteries. All I had to do in my building hallway was apply a strip of double sided tape to mount it. Building told me I would be only guy with "non-standard" doorbell, and this would ruin aesthetics.
