Israel has neither morals nor moral authority. Claiming it does is like saying a gangster is ethical because he loves and provides for his family, yet has no qualms about stealing from or murdering anyone outside of it.

Legally, as long as Israel gladly participates in the UN, it cannot simply claim the benefits of membership while disregarding the obligations that come with it.

It cannot continue to lecture the world on human rights when its own policies undermine the rights of a whole people.

If Israel is unwilling to live by the standards of international law and human rights, it should not expect to remain an influential player in the UN system or in global diplomatic conversations.

It should leave the UN and exist as an international pariah, living off American welfare as it has for generations, while psychotically trying to convince itself and everyone around it that it is somehow different and more special than everyone else.
