Not so much round here; the big employers still pay just over the Living Wage (£8.91 ph) and some people (especially from Poland or Latvia) switch jobs (mostly agency stuff in big factories) every few weeks chasing a few p more per hour or somewhere that still pays extra for overtime..

Nobody coming over from PL now, and people (some of the people who came just after 2004 are close to retirement now and longing to be back in their own house) are returning, however there's a slow stream of people from other, further, places. None from Serbia though; AFAIK they never had freedom of movement.

I don't know where you are Jon, but in London we are struggling to find staff, wages are going up massively and this was always seen as one of the benefits of Brexit.

Sort of where the M1 meets the M62, massive logistics operations here which replaced the monoindustry of coal in some communities, plus plenty of factories, especially clothing factories (Burberry, Double Two, Montague Burton, Nike), in other places.

Due to a few factors (asset stripping by private equity firms and sometimes just tight margins) some larger employers' business models don't allow them to up wages.

One problem is that factory/warehouse jobs aren't skilled enough to get people work visas, so anyone who comes is coming to a better job, and the locals aren't racing to do the crappest ones. Interesting times ahead.

Even the crappiest job that pays well becomes a very desirable one. No need to import unskilled bums. By the time you pay their med insurance, kids' education, and the rest, that "cheap" labor is not cheap at all. The trick is to pass these expenses on to the taxpayers. A two-ledger economy is a lovely thing.

It happening. Serbia and Belgrade becoming natural center of the world. Belgrade is already far more important then Brussels. These days becoming more important then New York. Capital of EU and UN would move to Belgrade and Serbia that is ancient center of the Slavic world.

serbia could be a world power in the future. it is the nation that future europe ay be based on so winning it or fighting for it in terms of th geopolitical landscape will be a huge grab or win.

Depending on how far wants to go powers (circles of magnates) that support Serbia.

If they cancel Vatican`s project of segmentation of Serbs onto smaller nations (like Croats, Montenegro, Bosnians, etc..) its almost entire former Yugoslavia. If they decide to allow and support cohesive forces between Northern (Lusatians) and Southern Serbs (Balkan), and if they put in reverse process of germanization of Eastern Germany, they could easily have valid ground to destabilize Germany, ruin it and in short period of time create (RESTORE) powerful Serbian state from Balkan to Baltic. It would be restoration of old Sarmatian (Serbian) backbone of Europe. Then, if they reverse Roman influence onto Sarmatian (ie Serbian) Europe they turn Europe (relatively fast) into Serbia just by unleashing (via mass media of course) scientific facts on origin of Europeans. Sure, all followed by economical prosperity of constantly larger Serbia. There`s more. To such a re-Slavicize and re-Serbinized Europe they attach Russia.

See, if they want. But certainly there is true potential in `Serbian question`. It just depend what certain magantes (world government) think what is good for processes within human civilization.
