@Bobko, to be honest, I prefer plain T-shirts on men (or at least with some small logos), but in case of those with something on them, I prefer to see something that is at least interesting/creative since I have an artistic soul :)

As for T-shirts and baseball caps being "for peasants"... This is Crown Prince of Dubai who graduated from Sandhurst, just like Prince William and Harry ;D:

Sure, but wearing T-shirts, shorts, baseball caps, whatever - casual wear, comfortable, practical clothes, when it fits the situation, doesn't automatically mean that someone has "bad taste". I'm sorry, but this is simply a ridiculous notion.

Nothing wrong with casual wear. Tee shirts, however, (unless you've the body of a model), baseball caps and shorts are a no no for me. Feel free to wear them, however I'll always consider them to be in poor taste.

Poland, sadly, is not known for high standards of male dress.

Whereas Russia has been a trendsetter since the 18th century. Eat sh*t, Polish peasants.

I bought it at the Monticello (Thomas Jefferson's plantation) gift shop. Talk about cool, Monticello is remarkably cool. If you ever travel to the US and are in Virginia, make sure you visit.

Last weekend, after a ton of visits to Mt. Vernon, and Monticello, I went for a private tour of the distillery.

They let me chuck the wheat, and then they let me see the mill running.

It's located where you can find it on Google Maps. Yes they did offer a whisky tasting. Yes my mom drove me back to my hotel.

That's close to assuming that people in tee shirts are more likely to be good and that people who dress well are more likely to be either snobbish, or ar$eholes or both.

Tee shirts are so often a lack of self-respect.


If you've the figure and age for it, feel free. Take care to get tailored ones though and avoid company logos (unless you own the company).

No, I meant that what kind of clothes people put on their backs is, in reality, unimportant nonsense.


In all honesty, I think it's actually exactly the opposite... People who put so much attention to what they're wearing and build their self-esteem on it, are probably the ones who lack confidence and have low self-esteem... Confident people don't care about such things that much, because they know what they're worth with or without "good" clothes, imho.

Yes, if you don't know that Russians take fashion very seriously, that's your mistake.

One thing that I've observed over the years and decades is that dress sense often reflects self esteem. Dressing well can make people feel better about themselves too so it works both ways. Men in particular often forget this.

I don't mean buying sprees. A friend in Warsaw has yards of wardrobe space stuffed full of really cheap clothes from Bershka, H&M and probably Primark too, things he's just worn once and in any case don't last well in any sense. He buys things every month and hardly wears them. Better to save up and get something nice.

I probably spend less than him overall, certainly have fewer clothes, yet go for better ones that last. I always think it's better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed.

I'm so drunk - I can't engage in no more "serious conversation".

1) I dress rarely. But I dress like a Cossack on his last allowance in Paris.

2) I still fall in love with shockingly beatiful women, and I cannot resist their charm

@jon357, obviously, everyone wants to look good, etc. and that's natural. But the level of your, Bobko's (and Cargo's, I guess) snobbery, the way you look at it - this is really off-putting for me.
