Actually you're not referring to surveys, what you're talking about are opinion polls which are not the same thing. Anyway I see that you appear to be unable to provide any coherent response to the pertinent points and are trying to circumvent them - not very successfully either.

I gave you my source. I am Polish. I think Polish therefore I know what Poles think. I speak with them in Poland and in Polish.

Actually today a group of Americans arrived to the company I work for . They're getting trained to work on the new factory line that's going to be set up in the USA. One of our guys asked out loud "Who are those refugees?". Hahahaha It was hilarious. Poles think that Americans are dumb, undereducated and usually obese which makes them look and act funny. When you look at that from this perspective then yeah, it brings laughter so it's a positive feeling.

When you state something as an opinion you are free to say anything you like but when you make a factual statement you have to support it with factual evidence. If it were an opinion, you would say 'I believe/in my opinion/from my observations, many Poles don't trust America' and that would be acceptable.

Now take note of my response to your original statement:


I qualified my statement with 'I would say'. This makes it an opinion and not a fact. If I merely said 'the opposite is equally true' then that would be a statement of fact and I would have to back it up with evidence, which I did in any case because what I stated as an opinion, is in fact true, whereas what you stated is not.


Americans don't come to Poland to be trained in factory work. There is no technology available in Poland that Americans dont have in their own country and Polish factories rarely set up business in the USA.


That didn't happen for two reasons. Firstly because there were no Americans and secondly because Poles are not ignorant yobs and there are very few twelve year old Polish boys working in Polish factories.


Making statements of fact again.................No they don't, but if you bothered to read my link, you would find that a significant number of Poles surveyed believe that American people are more likely to be greedy, arrogant and violent whilst at the same time view them as hard working, optimistic and tolerant. So you see, life is not that simple. By the way, what you should have said is 'the other boys in my class think that Americans are...........'

Interestingly the survey found that 57% of Americans themselves agreed that about the greed aspect. How honest of them.

Ah well now I've also taught older ones. You try shepherding 27 eleven year old girls up and down three flights of stone stairs four times a day. I've taught adults too. I trained Montessori teachers you know, for two years. Basically I treat people as they merit it. If you behave like a reasonable human being I'll treat you accordingly and if you behave like an idiot, ditto but always tempered with justice and mercy. Can't say fairer than that.


Now, you have to remember that on this forum I'm 'in character' to a certain degree. I'm not quite as unbearable in real life. Believe it or not I often keep my mouth shut when I have a different opinion or express my contrary views in much milder terms and I don't always need to display the fact that I know more about x, y or z than everyone else in the room. And depending on the company, I don't always know more. But even in real life, if somebody carried on the way Nottykins does, then yes, I would slap him down firmly into the place where he belongs. The child needs to learn Johnny and we have a moral duty to assist him :))

It didn't happen. You're telling fibs and you're too young and inexperienced to realise how obvious your porkies are. You claim to be living in Zielona Góra which is a fairly small place with no significant industry. In fact the wider Lubuskie region is doing its best to attract foreign investment and nobody there is in a position to be setting up factories in the USA. The only item of any significance manufactured in Zielona Góra is vodka and whilst North America is a big market for it, there's no way they are setting up a distillery there.


The term many means 'a large number of' and that's not true. A small number would be truer. It's certainly a minority of Poles who don't 'trust' America, whatever that may mean. The truth is that when push comes to shove, if Vlad and his comrades came charging over the border, Polish people would be happy to have any assistance available from any quarter to turn him back.

Not true again. Even if it is 26% out of almost 40 million Poles according to the poll you linked (which I am certain that it isn't accurate) it makes it almost 10 MILLION people which is very MANY.

NTF's claim about a factory in the USA being set up by a Polish company has been intriguing for me, too. The claim could be easily verified, should NTF give any names suporting that claim. But he only says:

Company's headquarters is in Denmark. They already own factory in the US. They are implementing the newest technology line there so they send people here to get trained since such line is operating here for more than 1 year already.

No it's not hilarious. It's positively cringe-inducing. if such a thing occurred it was rude and ignorant and utterly the antithesis of what it means to be Polish. It was just a banter. To be happy in life one has to have distance to everything including him/herself. I often laugh at jokes about Poles and see no reason to be politically correct about other nations.


You should already know that Poles aren't exceedingly PC and it's who we are not it's antithesis.

Poles are not PC but they're generally courteous and welcoming to visitors. Polish people are not that friendly to 'strangers' but they are pleasant to 'visitors'. If they know who you are, you're introduced to them or you're vouched for in some way, they can be a bit shy and stiff at first, but they're generally nice. They don't make a habit of laughing at people and having private jokes about them. Poles are basically well mannered people.

I'm not PC either let me tell you. I do a mind blowing impression of a Nigerian guy 'ah am wantin' to deevoss ma wife in Lagos and marry ma Polish girlfriend.' - pay attention now, getting the emphasis on the correct syllable is very important when you're doing the Nigerian accent - but there's a time and a place.
