There are two options, as I see it.

Since Hamas is part of the ongoing islamist-western war, so will the bloodshed in that region going on. No matter what Israel will do, Hamas will try to kill Jews, and with that trying to hurt the West and everything it stands for.
There will come a time when this global war is over, and then also the end of Hamas will come, and then peace talks will be possible. But that can be in 50 years or in 100 years...who knows.

Another option is the after-WWII-action, as Germany's neighbours did end the ethnic conflicts through driving the main ethnie, the Germans, out of certain, contested territories. The govs of these countries had the military power, and Germans generally couldn't count on much sympathy during that time. Was it inhuman...of course! Did it pacify the regions and ending old conflicts...for sure!

For the ME that would mean expelling the Arabs of Gaza to Jordan, an arab country already with a Pali majority....a sure end to any regional bloodshed. Would it be accepted from the global community, I doubt it.

So....I fear the bloodshed will go on for the next decades! If Israel is in Gaza/Westbank or not....
