At age 65, a person is of "retirement age", while in certain structures (not necessarily private business owners either), people can retire before this age, other can work up until 69 or even 70 years of age.

AARP kicks in as of age 50, i.e. US citizens will receive such a card by mail, entitling them to certain privileges (though NOT BENEFITS!!!), such as the "senior fare", a discount on buses and.or subways etc..

So what does that have to do with what the debate was about which was ?


I carefully explained that Medicare benefits do not start UNTIL you are 65 years old in answering TheOthers question.
Medicare does not start until 65 no matter what age you retired at unless you claim the abused Disability Medicare which ends at 65 and you go on normal Medicare.

Earlier today I was reading about Rod Blagojevich. Another wonderful Illinois politician serving time in the feds. For some reason though I don't really mind him all that much lol. The only time I watched the apprentice was when Blago was on it. He seems like a friendly guy but a bit backwards. I remember one part of the episode with him in like a private plane trying to figure out how to use a laptop.

Someone ought to write a book about Hillary's many crimes and corruption. The dems refuse to acknolwedge the fact that she's a public servant yet worth millions of dollars. How can a public servant who's salaries hover around $100k-$200k for senators, congressman, governors, etc. and $400k for presidents manage to be a multi millionaire many times over? Estimates range that the Clintons are worth $30-$50 mil but oftentimes figures over $100 mil have been reported by various media outlets.

Teflon Don man. The silent majority has awoken. The people who hate trump like antifa may be loud but it there's tens of millions of conservative hard working tax paying people who are sick of the establishment and the b.s. The pollsters said that trump had a 12% chance of winning but yet the map was bleeding red everywhere except the large cities like la NYC chicago etc.

I just hope he focuses more on the economy and reducing middle class taxes. The more he does for the blue collar people in swing states the more likely hell be re-elected. The reps have slowly begun to court people of color mostly blacks and Latinos. More blacks and Latinos voted for trump than any other ragent republican candidate. The hard working tax paying people of color aren't being fooled anymore.

A few months back there was a big scandal with a candidate for mayor in a suburban town not far from me. Apparently the candidate and his cronies handed out cigarettes gas cards and other stuff to lure voters lol

A few of my black friends feel that some dems statements that they've made are very offensive to them but the dems pass it off as helping the blacks. The one that irks them the most is when dems say that blacks have it harder to vote bc they're less likely to have a valid id.

She's blaming everyone else for her own shortcomings. She fails to realize that she was a flawed candidate without any message or vision for the country.

A reporter got kicked out at her book signing for asking her things like the 30k emails, her various crimes like disregarding a subpoena, smashing phones, etc. The reporter asked questions in a pretty funny way lol I.e. ''hillary people want to know WHAT HAPPENED to the 30k emails' what happened to benghazi, what happened to the millions you were supposed to give to Haiti... What happened lol??

She showed up to the signing an hour and a half late making people including many seniors waiting in the hot sun for her. She can't even bother to show up on time to greet the few supporters she has left.

We desperately need immigration reform. The dems talk **** about trump and daca yet Obama deported more people than bush and Clinton combined. Whenever they criticize trump oftentimes they've done the exact same thing or worse.

For example as far as meddling in elections our government does that all the time. For example Obama did whatever he could to prevent Netanyahu from winning.

I trusted Bernie even more than her. Many of his ideas were far fetched and impractical in the real world but I sensed that he's pretty legit and honest which is rare for a politician. For one he's got a net worth of a few million not tens of millions like other dems. They talk all this crap about equality helping people in bad areas raising wages and 'truly' understanding the working class despite most of them never running a business or employing peope, aside from maybe the help at their house. Then they retire to their ivory tower once they're done spewing lies. I can't believe he supported her even after it was totally clear the DNC stole the nomination from him. He signed a deal with the devil. Since that day he lost a lot of support and a good chunk of his follows ended up voting for trump.
