Just one of many many flaws. Another issue at the local level is oftentimes politicians will redraw voting districts to help his or her party for the next election

Sorry, but someone who believes that the Earth is 5000 years old, that all plant and animal life was "designed" by a higher being, and that this "theory" should be taught in our schools together with evolution should not be allowed to hold any public office. That is true for Carson as well as for Pence. They are religious nutters. And yes, I'm really that intolerant when it comes to people who make important decisions for us and our children... :)
